Okay I have the Polaris Office ApK, now what? - Nexus 7 Themes and Apps

I have taken the apk off my Note 2 and put it on my nexus 7. It find through the side load install, but at the very end it ways "Could not install". Is there a way around this, wephether it be modifying the system or the apk itself?
Running Paranoid android BTW.

try making a ti (titanium) backup of polaris off your note. then import that backup and restore it through ti as well on your n7. was successful with this method on smart office 2 (got it when it was free from sammy apps) from my s3. i don't think i can update the app in the future though when i need to. OR (assuming polaris is installed on /system/app on your note), you could push the apk to the same directory on your n7, set appropriate permissions then install

I think you need more things to do.
1- Put inside /system/app without spaces like /system/app/polaris.apk
2- Go to /system/lib look for two .so files content polaris in the name and copy for your nexus /system/lib
If doens't work is because polaris from note2 or s3 is compatiblity with tw framework

also if you really want the stock. look back at the app and theme section. they got a thread talking about "polaris". thats the stock app.
Thanks...big help bro..

If you want the stock Polaris app, you need the PolarisOffice.apk in /system/app and libpolarisoffice.so in /system/lib from a stock ROM. I've uploaded the files here. Once you've downloaded them, use ROOT explorer or ES File Explorer (or any root file explorer) and put the PolarisOffice.apk in /system/app and libpolarisoffice.so in /system/lib (you don't need to "install" the .apk) and then reboot.

[REQ] tablet LWP for nexus

sorry in advance for my english an for my req.
anyone know if is possible to install tab lwp on galaxy nexus?
for ie: galaxy tab 2 sky lwp or asus lwp
thanks to all
Up up up plz

Probably, give it a shot. Download one of their ROMs, and go into system/app and pull out the LWP apks that you want. If they don't install like normal apps then use a root file explorer and put them in system/app, change the permissions to match the other apks in that directory and reboot. Worse case scenario they won't work or will display incorrectly.

I don't know anything about osx but it should be just a .zip file that you can extract.

Request!

Hi folks,
I am looking for a sweet as hell flashable keyboard that will work on 4.2.1 C-RoM Mix v6.
Preferably Galaxy S2 or S3 keyboard as I love these keyboards!
Any suggestions would be gratefully welcomed.
As i am not an expert on this. You could try to download any ROM and take latinIME.apk and install it. Make a backup from the original one first to prevent problems

I'm sort of a noob mate, I haven't a clue on how to to that. I can flash until the cow's come home and that's about it lol
What he means is that you could download any ROM zip and take the keyboard out of it. It would be in /system/app/ and would be named latinime.apk

Which keyboard?
I am after something that is the ICS or JB Keyboard!
If you mean the original Samsung Keyboard, then you'll need to check samsung galaxy s 3 ROMS.. For jelly beans. Take the ultima rom or omega. Both have the keyboard

Give me some time i'll find one for you
Even tho i think it wont work here is a zip file.. Unrar and put latinime.apk in /system/app and lib in /system/lib only when needed.
It contains the latinime.apk and a lib file. Make a backup first..

Downloading now.
What do I do after it's downloaded? As I said I am a noob at this kinda thing.
Unzip it on you computer.
Put the folder (keyboard Android) on your sdcard
Reboot recovery and make a full backup (just in case)
Reboot normal
Go to the folder on your SDcard
Go to the folder App and take the .apk file (copy it) and paste it in /system/app (use rootexplorer) (you can rename the orignal .apk which is in /system/app to LatinIME.bak.apk (as an extra backup) and paste the file from sdcard in to this folder.
And then you should open any text editor and try to type something.

It does not work. Are you sure that your coworker deodexed his ROM before sharing any system app?
If no, then you need to deodex this apps first
