nfc low response time when - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

is it just me or does nfc get lower response time when streaming something through bluetooth?
I often listen to music in my car through bluetooth and I have an nfc tag in the car to turn car mode on/off. when I get in the car the nfc read is almost instant but when I get out as the music still plays it has quite a noticeable delay in reading.I knew it's reading because of the sound. once it reads it implementing the changes is no issue so I don't think it's the app
can anyone else confirm or test this out? and what could be causing this?

loose gps when playing music on speaker

When i'm playing music off the sd card or pandora I loose gps in maps and navigator unless I have headphones plugged in.
I think it might be the speaker messing with the compass, but i have no idea.
I tried googling it, but all i found were a handful of people with the same issue and tons of people saying that they go running or do x or y and listen to music without an issue, but they're useing headphones.
Any ideas?
Same Problem
I have the exact same problem and it has been driving me crazy! I have tested thoroughly and I can use GPS for days no problems. As soon as I turn on Pandora or the Music app it instantly stops tracking and a few seconds later says sorry no GPS signal in this area (confirmed on Sprint Nav and Google Nav). As soon as I stop the music it pops back in.
Have you confirmed that the headphones corrects the problem? If so that may provide me a good work around.
Has anyone else found a better fix/work around? It is very strange!
My thoughts exactly! Ever since the Froyo update I've been having the same issues as well.

The magnet for the phones speaker interferes with the gps, that's why you can use headphones and gps and not have a problem

GPS
Thank you. Is there any work around?
Seems like a pretty bad/serious design flaw.
just using headphones, but **** this is annoying. I use gps for work, and I dont want to use headphones all the damn time. my g1 didnt have this issue so it's like wtf!
That is by far the worst handle I have ever seen. Congrats.
As far as the loose gps is concerned, have you tried tightening it?

[Q] Bluetooth Functionality

I'm wondering if this possible through a setting somewhere that I'm missing...
With my bluetooth device, the only thing I can do is chat on the phone. I'd love to be able to hear other things as well. Most notably, I would really, really love to be able to hear my Google NAV directions through bluetooth rather than the phone speaker. I can't figure out how to do that though. I'd also love to be able to listen to music through it.
Anybody know how to do this? Can it be done on the Epic?
Thanks for the assistance in advance.

Not all devices are capable of ad2p (Bluetooth media audio). If your device is, you can go into bluetooth settings, long press the device, hit "Options", then tick the checkbox for Media Audio.
So I'll need to look for a headset that is ad2p capabe. Thank you for that very good info. I'll start looking for that now. I assume that our Epic's are set up for a2dp just fine....right?? As long as I have the right headset, I should be able to take advantage of the option?
Is there a way to spoof a2dp to stream music? Like an app or bt module? I remember being able to listen to music on bt without this profile on dk28 or I'm crazy but I swear I did.

J,
I found an app called "Bluetooth Audio Widget" (Pub: KokasIT) on the market. It does the job. Try the free 5 day trial and see if that does the trick for you. Appears to work on some phones/setups, not on others. I'm not really having any issues with it other than I had to stop and restart the service a couple times because the connection was poor, so the volume was real low. Once I restarted the widget, it worked fine. Listened to directions on the GPS, and a good bit of music last night.
Yup, there's an app called BT super mono froyo. I had the free trial installed for a while. I'm not positive about nav directions, but I know you can listen to music through your BT with it.
Thank you fellas will try both.

Music playback stops randomly

Music playback is stopped at random times. Usually the phone is in my pocket. I thought my headphones were getting unplugged. But it seems to be something else. Has anybody experience this issue?

I've had it happen when streaming music over the air (Pandora or Slacker); I have pretty poor reception in my yard. I have not had any stops/skipping with music I have downloaded to my phone.
I think it does have something to do with the headphone jack. It seems to be a little out of spec. I have like 2 headphone plugs that will stay in securely, while the rest, if twisted, will pop slightly loose, enough to kill playback.

It's a design flaw. Check this thread for more info.
You may need to try a new pair of headphones.
good find gunther lol
i got tired of the app altogether some time ago so i use ZPlayer.
check it out..its pretty dope!
I had the phone sitting on my desk and the music stopped again. There was no way I moved the headphones chord to make it fail. All I noticed was that the the synch notification was displayed on the status bar. Could the playback be stopped by incoming data? Is it even possiblle?
Thanks

Certain notifications will momentarily disrupt media playback, but will not stop it.
The issue with the jack will require pushing the plug back in so that it is reseated properly.
All I have to do is press play again. So its definitely an interruption caused by the phone and not a jack related problem. I guess ill just have to deal with it.

If the contact of the headphone jack is disrupted, but not dislodged, it could be enough to cause it to pause.
The headphone jack must really suck in mine because it randomly pauses playback over bluetooth regardless of which application I'm using to play music with. Even sometimes just playing music over the phone's speaker it happens for me. At first I thought it was a bug in CyanogenMod... but I guess not.

Music player turns automatically after bluetooth call

The Samsung music player automatically turns on each time I make a call in my car via bluetooth. I'm Not using a earpiece or a 3rd party bluetooth device, my car is equipped with bluetooth. I'm Just curious if anyone else is having these issues?
I've had this happen on various music players. Check the headset settings, there might be something that says "resume after call" or something like that.

Question about Bluetooth head phones

I'm on drewgarens modified stock rom. I watch a lot of TV shows but I can't get the audio to come out of the Bluetooth stereo head phones. Is there a way to do this? I was able to play music but only after downloading a app. The app only switches it to the Bluetooth when its already playing. The video isn't already playing so I think that's why the app can't switch it to the headset. Anyone have any ideas on how to make it work?
