HTC International Moderator Team

Hello all,
As you can see we did some maintenance in this forum.
Rearranged Sticked Threads.
Our goal is to eventually do this with all HTC International Forums Upcoming for sure and when enough spare time older devices.
The reason behind it is to get some consistency across our sections.
Makes it easier for ppl to find Real Important Device Essential Stuff
And of course all other sticky worthy threads.
The Setup will be like this.
1 Moderator announcements/rules.
2 Core device essentials sticky with RUUs, Recoveries, Radios, Firmware etc.
3 Sticky Roll-Up thread
4 One Temp sticky if sticky worthy, on the next sticky worthy request the old sticked goes into Roll-Up
5 Spare Sticky for whatever important thing pops up (bricks / other device damaging serious warnings)
The 4th sticky is there so everybody can gets his/hers fair change to get some stuff in the spotlights.
The procedure is merely there to avoid questions like "His got sticked,why mine is not?"
But we as Moderator team do think there should be a limit of 4/5 Sticky Threads to keep it clean and organized etc.
Of course this is somewhat a trial and we are willing to finetune it based on members input.
But so far i think its a good attempt to get HTC International Forums Organized and hopefully it reduces the unnecessary questions

[REF] The Rules...Whether you like them or not

~~~Welcome to the Android Development Forum for the HTC Vision & HTC Desire Z.~~~
I am TheRomMistress (or TRM for short), your Forum Moderator
I am here to help in anyway I can, so please contact me if you have any suggestions, problems, comments, etc. with this forum. While I cannot promise you will get an immediate resolution, or that I will be able to act on every suggestion, I can promise it will receive my attention.
With that being said, Please take a moment to review XDA forum rule. Anyone found intentionally violating these rules will be punished.
The most important "rule" I urge you not to forget is, HAVE FUN and BE COURTEOUS! Thank you and I look forward to keeping "ORDer" and "Peace" throughout the forum.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
What is development?
the act or process of developing; growth; progress: child development; economic development.
Some of you will have a problem with these rules (those are the ones who need to ingrain them in their tiny brains and deal with it like adults), others will be thankful for them (those are the ones that deserve lots of hugs and kisses, not from me of course). In either event, I expect everyone to follow these rules equally, this includes Junior Members, Members, Senior Members, Developers, Recognized Developers, and even Moderators. No one is above these rules.
While I understand there will always be situations that require a different view on the matter, or a more thorough examination, this does not mean the action taken is inappropriate or unwarranted.
Search before creating a new thread/post.
Do not create a thread in Development just to ask a question.Post in Q&A instead.
Do not create a thread in Development where no developing is actually going on. This includes pre-release ROM threads with no download link.
Treat everyone how you would like to be treated.
Do not go into another ROM thread for the purpose of putting down the Developers work or to boost traffic to another ROM thread.
Links to manufactorers release of source code are not considered development. Post these in General.
Always use propper title formatting when releaseing something in the Development forum. See below.
If you disagree with my action, please PM me so that we may discuss things in a civilized mannor. If needed, I will seek out help from a Senior Moderator.
There are many different age groups using this site, in any case, use comon sence when posting and keep in mind the following: "would I want my grandmother reading this?"
If you are having an issue with another member, please report the post/pm in question rather then handle the matter on your own. We have tools available that you do not.
Take it like a man...even if you are a woman, child or Alien.
Slandering another member will NOT be tolerated.
Spam WILL NOT be tolerated
Failure to cooperate with a Moderator WILL NOT be tolerated.
Laziness WILL NOT be tolerated.
Posting non-development threads in the Development forum will only be tolerated once.
Disregaurd of these rules, as well as XDA Forum Rules WILL NOT be tolerated.
[REF] Read this before posting new ROM threads!
In order to keep Desire Z & Vision Android Development fora clean and avoid multiple threads for one ROM please do the following:
When posting a new ROM release or a link to a new ROM release, DO NOT create a new thread unless it is a completely different ROM.
If you are posting an update, please edit the active thread instead of creating a new thread. Include the following details:
[ROM][LANGUAGE][DATE]rom name and version (Build)[STATUS]
Thank you for your help in maintaining a clean and effective fora.
Rules updated. Now there should be NO QUESTION what is expected from this forum.
These rules are used throughout XDA. I am definitely not the only moderator who follows them. Just because this is the internet, does not mean you have free reign to do whatever you want. If that were the case, these forums would be even more difficult to navigate. Again, if you do not like them, you do not have to be here.
Guide to HTC One X International Forums (Please Read before posting here)
In this thread we will provide a short Q&A for your stay on this forum. Please read thoroughly and act accordingly.
While most that is needed to know is pointed out in the forum rules, history shows that some points of these rules are not clearly understood by some users and others leave room for interpretation. With these Q&A we give you some additional guidelines how the forum for this device is moderated.
Who are the moderators for this forum?
The team leaders for HTC International team are Judge Joseph Dredd and O_G
Moderators are: Andy, ceesheim, coal686, KidCarter93, LenAsh, pandaball, Stephen, wildstang83
How do I contact the moderating crew?
While you are free to contact all of us via PM, for moderating purposes it is much more advisable to use report system. If you do that, your request reaches ALL moderators thus multiplying the chance for fast reaction to your request. If you PM a moderator, he does not know whether you have contacted others also and therefore it is possible that your request is handled by different moderators, overruling the others. In report system the ticket system avoids that. Therefore please always use report system.
Where do I post my thread/issue/question?
This is a very important decision and decides not only whether you achieve the goal you intend with your thread/post, but also whether it might be regarded off-topic/not allowed and therefore be removed. So here is a list to help you decide where to put your thread (or maybe to not post it at all).General section
What goes here
Guides, Collections, Tutorials (can also be posted in Q&A)
General information about the device
Tips and Tricks
Every general discussion about technical aspects of device
What does not go here (by far an uncomplete list, just some examples for topics that are not tolerated)
Everything prohibited by above linked forum rules.
"Whis is the best rom for this device", "Is this rom better than that" (always subjective, prone to fanboy wars)
[*]Device comparison threads "Which is better: iphone or this phone" (see above) In regards to best ROM threads and device comparison threads, we will be allowing these kinds of discussions from now on. As always, the forum rules apply so that means no trolling/arguing etc. will be accepted.
"What was your last phone/will be your next phone" (Off-Topic to this phone, post that in OT-Forum)
"Hello"/"Goodbye"/"Merry Christmas,Easter,Hannukkah, whatever" (Obviously OT, just imagine every user posts that)
"I'll never buy HTC again", "Why HTC/Samsung/whoever sucks" and all other "hate"-threads (Tell that those guys, not us)
"Help!", "How do I...", "Why..." and all other Questions (belong in Q&A)
What do I do when I do not understand a moderators decision?
Please feel free to contact the moderator via PM to get his decision explained. If that does not satisfy you, contact the team-leader.
DO NOT, however, discuss any moderating issues in forum. This will always be regarded off-topic (which it actually is).
Now let's all have fun on this forum and help together to make xda a place where users can gather useful information instead of sipping through knee deep piles of unorganized rubbish
Forum titles, what's the difference.
There's an M8 Android Development forum and a M8 Original Android Development forum. Why? What's the difference.
There's an explanation at the top of the Forum in the header, with links to even more explanation, thus:
HTC One (M8) Android Development
Welcome to the HTC One (M8) development forum. This forum is used to find or discuss development on the One (M) phone, including ROMs, kernels, rooting, mods and more. Information can also be found here on converting a Sense model into a Google Play Edition.
This is a development forum, which differs from the HTC One (M8) Original Development forum in that discussion and items in this forum are for derivatives of stock ROMS, kernels or other materials, and the Original Development forum includes new work which is mostly original. For more details on Original vs Regular Development forums, see this post on our Portal.
Any member posting in this section must be of Senior Member status, this means you must be aware of XDAs rules as well as the moderation team's guidance for this particular device forum. You must of also of been active within the forums, including answering questions and asking legitimate questions. We do this to keep the development forums running smoothly, it’s not much to ask to give a little back for the help of the community experts.
Please refer to the moderation teams guidance for posting in this development forum, more information can be found here.
Not sure how you missed it...
