Huuh i'm so close that i'm not expected...i know i need a wifi dongle who support monitor mode and driver for him...but wait a second...who need external wifi when we have it?
Yes the wifi chipset from phones don't have support for monitor mode...but thanks for dedicated developers u can forget about that.
Thanks for developers behind
http://bcmon.blogspot.se/ who make dreams come true...they make firmware for broadcom wifi chipsets BCM4329 and BCM43330 for the moment...
Note 2 have BCM4334 and don't have support yet but not for long time i think.

Does bluetooth work now with bluetooth dongle?

So I keep reading, a lot, that otg and dongle work, but then nobody shows how or what brand...
Does it work or are all of these posts saying its works just repeating what they have read?
[I really dont think people should be posting answers in an FAQ if they are just repeating others words]
I have looked and looked and I can not find anything beyond the same reply: "OTG cable and dongle"
If someone can share a link/thread that shows actual success with a Bluetooth dongle and results that would be great!
Thanks!

It doesn't work, there's no driver support in any Kf ROM for any type of Bluetooth dongle.
These posters have all read it doesn't work, they just refuse to believe it.
I have heard that people have claimed success with dongle

I said that the only way it will work is with an otg cable and a Bluetooth dongle. You still do need drivers for it to work.

People are getting confused here, and that's understandable.
Before Bluetooth was around and usable on PCs, you used to be able to buy keyboards with an adapter that would sit in the USB port. They would only work with that specific keyboard and nothing else. They were proprietary and use the standard USB drivers apparently - Which is why the guy who is using the dongle and keyboard in the video is able to do so.
Bluetooth on the other hand is totally different, and while you need the dongle, you also need the drivers. But I think we've come far enough that no one is going to write them.

[App ] to set WiFi to 2.4ghz, 5ghz or auto.

Note this was removed in lh1 and newer firmwares. Even worse is that I had mine set to 2.4ghz only and that Is what was still set after flashing to lh1 which means without thus app I could never have gotten 5ghz to work.

Thanks for this gonna make a backup and try it out
Edit: I don't know if I switch it over to 5 ghz it doesn't connect to anything at all. The wifi on this phone totally blows that's about my only gripe I just use the mobile network cause I know out won't drop!
Question: is there any possible way to actually just increase the power of the wifi? Or does that need some kind of patch or something? It would be nice to use wifi when not sitting directly in front of the router

Wild Blood how to fake wifi?

Gamelofts wild blood only allows online game play on wifi. Prior you can trick gameloft games in thinking you're on wifi as long as your wifi is on and doesn't have to be physically connected to a router. It doesn't work on the s3. Anyone know of a way around this?

Hello guys hope any body around here can give any idea how to solve this problem.
I have a root stock samsung galaxy s3 with tmobile with 2 year contract also unlimited data, but i dont want to pay for the wifi tether. my problem is when my daughter wants to connect her 4generation ipod with my phone she cant. i try every app on play store but nothing. What can i do. Also if i found one app that work and she see the wifi when she try to connect it said unable to join network.
Get wifi teather on the app market and go to setting and change the device profile to galaxy nexus gsm and should work fine write back of u got problems

If that device profile doesn't work you can switch around with the generic ics wlan0 and 1, Samsung s3.. switch around until you can see it

Wifi tether in playstore work for me with my Samsung Tab or maybe Samsung S3 and Apple ipod they don't connect each other! lol. jk
Wifi tether creates an "ad hoc" connection. I doubt apple even knows what that is, let alone supports it. You're better off looking for a hack for the movie hot spot app. Gl

He wants USB Tethering. I have noticed that it is actually broken on a LOT of JB ROMs but nobody uses it or bothers to test it so it goes unnoticed. You might wanna try ICS.... I don't use USB Tethering but I have seen the problem across multiple devices on JB (excluding official JB of course)
Oops thats what happens when replying to a post when half asleep. I didn't think people still use usb thethering. Anyway right now best to buy a usb wireless adapter and use the modified wireless tether for root users. Unless someone else knows of a way to usb tether that works on jb.

Yep, go ICS or get a wireless adapter I think are your only choices... The wireless adapters are relatively cheap on Amazon.

USB Tether app
I use pdanet for my USB tethering needs. I am currently on TBGS3 5.0 (GB08) and tested it. It works flawlessly... the only thing is you may have to pay for the full functionality, depending on your needs. The app itself is not on the market, but if you google it you will get to there main cite, where you can download the app for your computer and, utilizing the push to phone function, can install the app on your phone. Good luck, hope this helped. :good:

Thanks for the suggestion but can't install the software on the computer Will just have to go back to carrying 2 computers.
I use usb tethering for my laptop all the time, running rooted gb08.
If you're getting an "account not authorized" message thats the carrier.
Hotel doesn't have wifi, you can't tether from mobile data...
I don't think you have any real options, unless you can get to a Mickey D's or something that offers wifi...
You're pretty much bumming bro.

I only meant it as a "right this minute" kind of bumming LOL
I usb to my laptop because the wireless won't connect to that computer (I've tried everything with no luck) but every other device in the house will, and my phone is the only one with tethering capability. So I hop on wifi and plug and play. Unfortunately my scenario doesn't help your situation
Sorry I couldn't have been of more use:beer:
