KF2 Bootloop no Fastboot! - Kindle Fire 2 Q&A, Help and Troubleshooting

O.k. Let me explain the best I can!
So this makes the 2nd Kindle Fire 2 to do the same thing to me.
First off I have read and re-read all the threads front to back that deal with KF2 devices. NOTHING HAS WORKED.
My problem...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_YWq0h1-9s
This all deals with my 2nd Kindle. The first one has been shipped back to Amazon for exchange.
However the steps are the same. (There is only two guides after all)
So I started by rooting the stock 10.2.3 KF2 using Bin4ry's Root Method.
I then used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2106463 to install TWRP.
After rebooting into TWRP I proceeded to wipe the required areas and install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105077
All files Installed with NO ISSUES!
Rebooted into the "streched out CW 10.1 logo". That's when it seemed to get stuck! 45 Mins nothing.
Ok so lets redo this I think to myself.
Reboot into TWRP wipe ALL data areas EXCEPT my SDCard (Roms are stored there need them to install OS duh!) and proceed to install again.
Reboot..... an LOOP.. LOOP .. LOOP
2 different Kindles doing same loop.
Fastboot. Does not work. I have 2 Kindles with 2 different cables and 100+ computers to try it on. All from XP/7/8 to MAC/Ubuntu.
Sadly none are helping me enter fastboot. To me it seems to be GONE! Is that even possible?
Can anyone help?

You may have to wipe SD

Hi,
I got stuck in a boot loop 12 days ago. Never got to Cynaogen screen. I wiped all data, including my ROM and Gapps. WHOOPS.
I could boot into TWRP, and that was it. I was optimistic... CAN YOU GET INTO TWRP?
But, I could not get any computer to recognize it. I tried my Win Xp, Mac OSX: 10.6.7 and Xubuntu...
Finally I got ADB running by following this tutorial: http://desire.giesecke.tk/tutorial-adb-on-xubuntu/?wpmp_switcher=desktop
Be sure to change the Vendor ID to 1949, and use your machine's text editor. I have leafpad.
It took about 30 minutes to get ADB working
I wiped then sideloaded and flashed (install from zip) CM10
Then I rebooted
Then I flashed Gapps.
Hope this helps. Wiping the device can be a critical step.
GOOD LUCK. I was relieved when the CM splash screen ended.

It sounds like a bad download. Have you tried re downloading the ROM again? Check the MD5 code on your download against the code on the website.

[Q] Bricked Kindle Fire?? HELP!

Okay so basically I decided to root my Kindle Fire. I have rooted my android phone and my iPod before so I wasn't too worried about it, but it's gone horribly wrong and I need major help.
So here's what happened:
I got my root from rootkindlefire.com and followed the necessary steps (i'm running on 6.3.1)
It got halfway through and froze and I stupidly unplugged my kindle
Then it was stuck on this screen with a yellow triangle with a flame in it and at the bottom is said press power button for recovery, but when I pressed it nothing happened
So I went messing around online, in my drivers, etc. I ended up deleting my kindle drivers (like the original ones) and now my kindle is freaking out.
I watched this other tutorial on rootkindlefire.com and tried to follow the steps on how to unbrick it but when I managed to get into the recovery (i can't remember what it's called? blue screen with options like install, mount, reboot, etc.) and put the zip drive he said to, in there... i couldn't see it.
I then downloaded KFU and managed to get my kindle to reboot, but it is now stuck on the "Kindle Fire" screen. I can turn it off, get into recovery, etc. I cannot get it to move past the start up screen however.
I do not believe I am in fastboot, but one of the sites I was on could have misled me. Anyway... HELP! please... I'm sad:/

I followed all the steps and everything worked just like it said....but when my kindle rebooted, it is still stuck at the kindle fire screen but now there's animation...which it did not have before.
Any suggestions?
If your getting animation and it doesn`t go any further this usually indicates a broken system which TWRP are you using ? If you are using 2.3.1.1 there`s a problem with how it formats best you revert to an older version 2.2.2.1 or older then it should work for you. Full wipe except your external storage/sdcard, refalsh rom and gapps. The proper methods for wiping are also provided in the link I gave you.
Very good point though make sure your using the newest version of KFU 9.6 the older version uses burrito root which no longer works on the Kindle Fire. Really though alll you need is a bootloader and recovery rooting is obsolete.

First off, definitely listen to Thepooch and Josepho1997. Next, do you just want a rooted KF running the basic 6.3.1 firmware, or will you be switching to ICS or JB?
Next, is the blue screen you mentioned the TWRP screen? (TeamWin screen with 8 different choices)? If you are, then go to (I think) the bottom right and select mount, then mount system or USB or whatever it says. After that you can add files for a custom ROM or whatever you want through your computer. I forgot to mention that you need to of your KF into your computer.

Help
I have done everything that has been listed here. My kindle is stuck on the kindle fire screen, I can not boot into recovery and I do believe the TWRP that was previously on it, has been removed as well as the OS...My son was messing with it and all I could get out of him was he was on a blue screen and swiped to reboot and he thought it said no OS installed. So, I have the done the Alternate method for rooting, however, when run the kfu, it says its online but boot status is unknown. I can not get it to say any different. What am I doing wrong?

[Q] Kindle will only boot to TWRP

I'm rooting a kindle, and some weird things happened while I was rooting it, problems with rooting on Windows 8, But now that I have TWRP and FIREFIREFIRE installed, it won't let me boot to system. It flashes on and off of the shiny kindle Fire screen, then boots to TWRP. KFU says it is in Boot STatus 0x5003. Any help?

Hello, sorry to bump an old thread, but when I tried to boot into normal boot mode, it tells me "The system cannot find the file specified." I have been stuck in this TWRP recovery mode for so long. Even when I get into Normal Boot mode, how do I get JellyBean installed so it loads that ROM? I have the Jellybean ROM files on the Kindle, which I can access via TWRP, but don't know how to install. HELP!!!
Well, right now I did a factory reset of the Kindle and I was able to get the KF back to it's defaults. I copied the Jellybean .zip file and gapps Jellybean .zip file to the root of the KF. I booted into Recovery Mode and I was finally able to see both .zip files when I clicked on Install. I thought I could do the Permanent Root now that I did the factory reset, but once I ran it under KFU, it would go through the process to install TWRP and then boot the KF into TWRP, but it doesn't look like it completed the root. How do I complete it?
In the meantime, I had went into Recovery Mode, went to Install and currently loading Jellybean onto the KF. I'm currently stuck at Verifiying partition sizes and it's been sitting there for a few minutes. How long does it take before it's updated to JB?
System Only boots to TWRP and KFU will not see kindle
I have a Kindle Fire 1... Not the HD when I got it in Dec of 2011 I got some help to get TWRP and CM7 Installed on it, and it worked great until a couple of days ago and now there is no help in the kindle fire room anymore so I was wondering if there is someone out there who would be willing to help me to get this to work again either through teamviewer or a Chat of some type, Gtalk, IRC anything at this point to get this to work again.
I have tried everything from a Hard reset, and KFU will not see it and I even tried a unbricking tool and that cannot find it either. Please help me out.
Thanks

Stuck booting into TWRP
Hello Forum Lords, I hope that I found the proper thread for my problem.
I was simply trying to install Cyanogemod 9 on my wifes replacement KF1 after the first KF1 suffered some sore of hardware malfunction and would no longer take a charge. Somehow, somewhere I went horribly wrong this time around. I got stuck at the KF1 logo and eventually I got it to boot, but only to recovery.
My predicament is this: My KF1 is stuck booting into TWRP. Device manager on Win Vista recognizes the KF1 as Android Composite ADB Interface. When I try to use the KFU to boot the device into Normal Mode it says "cannot find the drive specified".
At the KFU starting menu, it says ADB Status: Online, Boot Status: 0x5003.
My ultimate goal is to get this thing running Cyanogenmod again. I am painfully noob at all of this. Please speak as you would to an escaped chimp who will not let go of the keyboard and mouse.
Thank you, anybody

RESOLVED-[Q] HTC One M8 (HK)- Help flashing Lollipop

Hello all, I have searched for more than a couple hours and just seem to be getting nowhere. Here's the deal: I have an HTC One M8 with TWRP, root, an unlocked bootloader and S-ON. I want to install Lollipop, but can't take the OTA.
I know a little bit about what I'm doing, I tried to flash a rooted stock ROM but it didn't take. I wiped all directories but the internal storage. Also wiped the Dalvik, `but I could not get the update to take. I tried a few other things but out of fear of bricking my phone I wasn't very adventurous. I flashed the backup I made beforehand and it worked fine.
I think I have the wrong file...? Could my S-ON be the problem?
Sprint HTC One M8 (HK edition)
Android: v4.4.4
Sense: v6.0
Kernel: 3.4.0
Baseband: v1.08.20.0916
Build:3.31.654.2
All I want to do is flash lollipop. Will I have to lock the bootloader and go back to stock recovery to do it? Can I use adb sideload to install it via adb?
Thank you for your time.

I'm pretty sure my phone is toast.
PLEASE HELP, it worked just fine before I took your advice...
I relocked the bootloader and verified it multiple times before doing this. I made sure everything was exactly the way it was explained in the instructions, all files were correct.
I put the phone into fastboot, which I verified with adb.
I ran the Sprint_HTC_One_M8_HK_4.20.654.10_RUU .exe file and followed the instructions.
Both the program and pphone are currently frozen. They have been this way for almost 2 hours now.
The phone is stuck at the black HTC splash screen and the installer says
Updating...(0/7)... #(<--- these dots are still in motion like its installing)
Updating the ROM image on your Android phone...
[color=redPlease do not remove the USB connection from the Android phone or launch any programs during the update process.[/red]
Remember, this operation will take about 10 minutes.

Ok, the phone is not recognized by adb but is still recognized by fastboot, can I reboot it into TWRP by using
Code:
fastboot reboot recovery
then just flash the backup I made before all this crap started?
*EDIT* RESOLVED
Never mind, I resolved it myself. I just typed
Code:
fastboot reboot
and hit enter. It booted right up.

I looked through it and all user made folders are gone, but all user downloaded apps are still there. I also noticed that superSU root access was off, but the 'apply on boot' option was turned on, could this be what crashed the updater?

You mentioned clean partition flash and pa gapps but you didn't say you flash the cm11 zip. I assume you did? If not there's no os. Twrp will notify if the os isn't there but not sure about safestrap. I'd assume you need to flash it in fastboot now unless there's a button combo that can be utilized.
I'd take this to the cm11 thread. ggow might be able to assist.

That probably IS a good thing. But if there's no OS installed I'd think it would automatically boot to recovery? I've only owned this phone a short time and before last week never used safestrap. Normally I'd either try to boot recovery with a button combo (haven't needed to on this phone.) Or connect via adb and use the command "adb reboot recovery".
I'd say you have a better chance or at least a quicker response if you head over to ggow's thread. Good luck

same problem here: can't start safe stripe and stuck at Amazon. tried to start the phone pressing volume up and power button, see if you can get into the build-in recovery. if it works, you can wipe the data and then use ADB sideload to flash in official rom (should be a bin file, i tried 4.6.1 version) and bring back your phone .

Nexus 7 2013 Wi-fi not booting

Hello
I think I made a big mistake.
I tried to flash stock MM image on my nexus 7 and I failed doing so by NTK (it said that the bootloader must be unlocked in order to proceed, but mine was already unlocked), so I went into TWRP and did the factory reset (tought it might help). so now N7 won't start, it's stuck on the boot animation of MM.
I tried this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796, and it says I need to check USB debugging, but I can't since I can't even get in to the system.
Is there any way to get my N7 back original state or am I having a plastic brick with a nice animation in my hand?

I assume you didn't make a backup of your working OS before flashing. Since you don't give details of that OS, it's hard to guess at what might have gone wrong. But if you were on Lollipop, you can always flash one of those roms that's close to stock with TWRP and restart from there. If the process stalls at animation, it usually means you don't have a bad Emmc, which is good news.
BTW, the guide you posted was for the Nexus 7 2012. This is the forum for the Nexus 7 2013. Was it a mistake of yours?

Thanks for zour reply. No I don't have backup (stupid, I know).
I was running Marshmallow, Cleanrom.
I found that I can mount usb via mount otg in TWRP, I will try to do so later today.
Ok, I solved the problem.
I tried to flash Cleanrom from OTG, installation completed normally that got stuck on reboot again, this time it went directly from google logo to TWRP, reporting "unable to mount /data".
Did a google search and found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471341.
Followed the instructions and it worked.
I'm never flashing anything again without backup.
