[ROM][CM9]CM9 Unofficial Rom By CurbThePain - Droid Pro Android Development

Hi guys so first off I have to state it... I am NOT responsible for any damage caused to your phone...
So now that we have that out of the way let's get on to the sweet stuff.
This is a unstable non-buggy release of CM9 for the droid pro... I've edited only a few things in this rom such as the framework.
The rom only has 1 bug, after about 5 hours of use the keyboard will become unusable and it will only open shortcuts and apps will force close. Just reboot and there you go... good as new.
Ok so first what you need to do is download these files:
ROM: http://db.tt/2QcdlV7O
GAPPS: http://db.tt/ylq5eSEO
Second install CWM or the Droid2Bootstrap and boot into recovery then format system data and cache (you must be running the latest gb kernal)
Third flash both zips and reboot.
Cheers!

Rom is not bad. But bug with keyboard and FC apps annoying. So, will wait for vanilla's cm9 next version. I hope that the problem with the video, and data transmission will be fixed there.

I formated all and reflashed a few times and it fixed fcs and keyboard

Installed on my Droid Pro today (European GSM only). Looking very good so far! :good:
Had some issues with GSM data not working, but several reflashes and ro.telephony.default_network=0 seem to have done the trick. Only problem I have left now is that the in-call volume is really low.

concerning low volume, i remember this it helped reflashing (formating system/cache twice before reflashing - but no rebbot please otherwhise RSD needed! ) maybe something gets mesed up while flashing/first boot.

Sorry.
This ROM is for Motorola Pro Plus also?
If yes, how do I unlock and root my phone?
Thanks!
Ciao...

stuck at M logo
hey guys, i'm sure this is gonna sound like a noob, but i am one, so need your help. i rooted the phone, installed droid2bootstrap, got into recovery, wiped everything, installed the ROM and flashed gapps. but since the time i restarted it, i continuously get a FC error of com.android.phone.
tried restarting several times, but no luck. so i thought i will reflash it. so went to droid2bootstrap and tried to boot into recovery, but from that moment on, all the phone does is get stuck on that M logo. no progress from there.
i'm afraid i've bricked it. could someone please help me out with what to do from here? any hopes of recovery?

I tried also with good results! CM7 + CM9 is a good combo - allows us to have camera working as well as the latest and greatest AOSP. It's amazing how similar the two devices are.
The trick is to correctly allocate the sizes of the 3 ext-3 fsimages based on personal use. 300 mb was way too small for me
This mod definitely has lots of quirks though...if you don't know what you're doing, it might not work.
After downloading files, I would suggest looking at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21401063&postcount=249

cm7 w/ camera is on 2ndint
cm9 w/o camera is on 2ndboot
if i want camera, i can simply boot into 2ndint. so then i don't have to keep reflashing cm7 if i want a working camera! it's very convenient

I have a library replacement hack to get photo camera working, should be in the next thead down. I'd use the libraries from the latest nightly released earlier today, they're probably better since they were updated since last release.

If you are running alredy CM7 it will be very easy for you.
You can try Multiboot manager instead of doing it manually:

Probably naive...
I'm just getting back into the fun, and it's nice to see how things have progressed...wow.
Will multi-boot CM7/CM9 share app data?
EDIT: And I don't see the Play app in CM9?

Please try it again.
I tried three roms at a time and worked fine for me.
CM7, CM9 and MIUI.
I will try this rom to see if there is a problem with me.
WR and Pikachu were originally made to be used with 2nd-boot, but that never worked with the Bravo. I've never tried them on multiboot. I don't normally use multi boot due to too much music on my sdcard. That, and I had problems with roms with bugs/glitches they didn't have when installed to the system.
Honestly, WR is buggy as hell. I'd release an update, but I can't get some of the tweaks to work right and there's no radio after installing the updated one. If you want an updated WR, the closest thing is my current nandroid...The only problem is its touch recovery and I've never once tried multi boot with touch recovery.
I suppose I could remove touch recovery up my nandroid later today. It has working Bravia(yes I tested before and after and I made a difference), updated beats audio, 30 step volume, cyanbread framework themeing, brews coffee, the miui explorer from Defy forum, custom framework animations, transparent status bar/notification drawer, walks your dog, and zepplinrox's scripts already ran and set up. It has everything WR had except Go Launcher and Miui apps.
Autocorrect is pissing me off. Miui was Louis, Mohican, and Minuit. And my thumb is sore now.

Thanks, got Gapps working! Now I can't seem to figure out root?
A little late, but superuser was broken on ICS multiboot. Its fixed on the 0417 release.
Has anyone else been having problems installing multiboot when CM9 is the primary nand rom? It installs, boots to 2nd-system, but nothing works except boot from nand. Selecting anything other than boot from nand gives me the multiboot error screen and I have to reboot. The same zip works perfectly fine with CM7.

A system installed on the sdcard tends to use a bit more battery in my experience. That and the lost gigabyte of sd storage are the only disadvantages of using multiboot.
I will add that some roms have glitches when installed to the sdcard they normally wouldn't have as a nand install. Its a hit or miss when dealing with multiboot sd roms and glitches.

Can we please get some screenshots ?
I do not have this device ...i can only provide builds
However here are the screenshots in chinese--> http://en.miui.com/thread-2279-1-1.html
But dont worry this ROM is in english !
ROM flashed, so far WiFi is working, there is mobile network. I left the phone for 2mins, when I went back, it auto-rebooted, I saw it was on the "MI - xiaomi.com" boot animation.
Will report more, Launcher force closes every time I tap on a folder.
EDIT: Ok, my phone is kinda stuck on the boot animation now, I force restarted the phone and it's still stuck. I tried to clean cache, dalvik, and fix permissions. Still nothing.
Did a full reset again, gonna test again.
EDIT 2: Phone auto-rebooted again :/
To summarize:
WORKING:
- WiFi
- Network
- Camera
- Bluetooth
- Internal sd card
BUGS/NOT WORKING:
- External sd card can't be detected
- Phone auto reboots and gets stuck at the boot animation right after...
- Launcher force closes when opening an app folder
BUT... The UI is smooth, only some animations/transitions (rotation, opening an app - launcher to app) are not smooth because it's normal in FXP CM10.
So far those are my reports... can't make video now as the ROM is kinda unstable. Thanks for making this! Hope you will update it and make it better.
Next week I'll be unavailable for days... because I will have braces on my teeth :/ It's gonna be uncomfortable to have those for the first week.

[ROM] [JB 4.2.2]Mianogen P.A.C All-In-One Rom for the Galaxy Nexus (toro)

Hello everybody this is P.A.C True all in 1 Rom for the Galaxy Nexus (toro)
(Was originally just standard PAC)
I decided to change the name to Mianogen PAC due to using the Mianogen theme, which I think you will find very pleasing to the eye :cyclops:
Considering I wasn't able to find a build for the toro I decided to try and build it myself. What is PACman? The idea was to remove the need for a hunt of rom and cure flasholicsm by providing everything xda has in rom development in a single bloat free rock stable rom. This is the FIRST rom of its kind with a hybrid framework consisting on cm10.1, AOKP and AOSPA. What makes PACman unique is this perfect blend of all of these.
Features:
Hybrid Framework
CM10.1
AOKP MR-1
AOSPA 3.15
Per App DPI
Per App Color
Pie Controls
cLock
Hardware Key Control
Any Widget on Lockscreen
CM Profiles
Lock Screen Shortcuts
Lock Screen Ring Targets
Fresh compiled CM 10.1 Kernel (I recommend AK kernels)
Init.d Support
Team Baked MMS app (Has Theme options)
Memory Leak Fix
Personal Screenshots:
Attachments Below
Recommended Installation Procedure:
Wipe Data/Factory Reset (This does not affect your Internal/External storage)
Format/System (This does not affect your Internal/External storage)
Flash Rom
Flash Gapps
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot
Then pat yourself on the back and profit :highfive:
The stock kernel is pretty basic as far as settings. I do suggest using AK kernels as they are rock solid which you can find here.
Downloads:
http://d-h.st/KqO
Gapps:
http://goo.im/gapps
Changes From the Last Version:
Removed CM Camera
build.prop tweaks
I will try to do a build when ever I see activity on the PAC github or whenever I feel an update needs to be released.
Credits and Thanks:
Cyanogenmod
AOKP
AOSPA
TeamBaked for the use of the MMS app.
tung91 for his Mianogen theme that I use in this rom which you can find the Premium version here.
All the great developers here on XDA that have influenced me into building my own stuff. :good:
Going to try this thx

I'm not to sure but, I can look into it. But I believe the fix for that was changing the dalvikvm.heapgrowth from 96mb to 64mb in the build.prop.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Giving this a try.
I've had 2 reboots today within 30 mins and running the kernel that came with the ROM. Just letting you guys know. Besides that this my favorite ROM

Try running with the latest AK kernel as that is what I'm using and I've been good all day plus I changed the dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit from 96m to 64m in the build.prop. That helped with the memoryleak. before I changed that I had about 65 to 50mb free for RAM now that I changed it I now have 171mb free.

Found build.prop edits i had to make..
For the memory: dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit from 96m to 64m
and for the market: ro.product.model=yakju
not sure if you guys are having the same issues. But this worked for me.
I used the GAPPS without gmail baked in (From the Paranoid nightly thread) so i could get the CM camera with HDR.
things going good so far now here. Maybe add those in the next build if users are having the same issue.
P.S using AK kernel Diamond and NexusLouder for 4.2.2

[ROM][4.22/4.3/4.4.2]T.V- SlimRoms Build 7.8 Odex Tweaked/Build 5.1 SlimKat 5/14

-This Is an AOSP based, Unofficial SlimRom Build, I Compile it from Slim Sources, ALL thanks goes to the Slim Team
-Any/All questions concerning this build should be directed here, not the Slim team
-Rom has been Odexed*** along with Gapps package, this can be changed if need be. I did it for ease, and speed, and has been lightly further tweaked *** Latest SlimKat builds are the exception due to high request for ART Runtime Compatibility.

Flash Procedure for Experimental 10.2 Builds is different than listed above. Follow Directions at bottom of Team Site OP along with the download. Read respective instructions by each DL on Team Site
For 10.2 Builds, To Raise volume, Go to System Settings, Advanced Options, Device, Audio (Update, latest 10.15 and newer will not need this. Thx Sbrissen!
-NOTE
If you have an SDcard that is 64 GB and formatted exfat it is HIGHLY recommended you format the card to Fat32 before flashing, or remove the exfat formatted card before/during flashing rom.and during Boot Process.
This Rom does not have exfat support (nor any 4.2.2 roms at the moment that I can think of) if you have a 64gb sdcard format it to fat32 to work with this
FAQ WIP
1) Where are some Apps in the Market? Some say they are incompatible
New Builds Come with a Modded Market, but if it updates and you have issues you need to change your DPI. The Rom will need to be changed and rebooted a couple times for all to be available in Market, but luckily it's Easy!
Go to Settings, Interface, general, LCD Density. That Menu guides you right through the process by clicking on the options
2)Where are the options I'm used to from CM and AOKP?
They're prob in there, and more. Slim just has a different layout for things in the menus. I find them to be intuitive and well thought out.
3) Where are my Extended Reboot Options when I Long-Press the power button?
SlimRom has a neat feature to stop your kids (or anyone that doesnt know what they're doing) from accidentally booting into recovery.
Go to Settings, Developer's Options, Advanced Reboot
4)Where are some apps i'm used to?
Prob in the Market, the Rom is light for a reason
Google Now is not Included. Go to App Market and download "Search"
"Maps" can also be downloaded there
5) Some of my Pic Messages are delayed or don't go through
Change your roaming data setting in Settings, more, mobile networks. Most Aosp based Roms have those off by default. Doesn't really matter on Sprint though so check roaming for all options your comfortable with. All my MMS has been working perfectly.
6) Does 4g, GPS, Camera and MMS work?
Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes
Maps is not included with Rom, download from Market
7) Does this Rom Support 64gb SDcards?
Yes, but in Fat32 Format. It is highly recommended that your 64gb sdcard is either formatted to fat32, or not present during flash (will update per feedback)
8) Why is this Rom so amazing?
Because that's what the Slim Team intended, I'm just happy now to be running it on the Note 2.
Biggest thanks to the Slim team for all their Work, and Slick Rick for helpin me out.

Then go to Developer options in the Settings menu and enable Root Access. and for Good measure I always go to Advanced, Superuser, settings (by hitting menu key once there) and enabling/re-enabling root access for adb/apps

1) Where are some Apps in the Market? Some say they are incompatible
I Suggest right away Changing your DPI and gettings your apps, then setting your DPI how you like. "Search" should be Updated like this to work properly. The Rom will need to be changed and rebooted a couple times for all to be available in Market, but luckily it's Easy!
Go to Settings, Interface, general, LCD Density. That Menu guides you right through the process by clicking on the options

Hey Slesh,
Will these addons work on the this ROM, or are they included already, photosphere for example?

Pretty sure Photosphere(at least as far as Slim is concerned) is only for supported devices, mainly Nexus devices. So I wouldnt try that
And the Slim Gapps with the modded apks will be included and odexed in next release, somehow kissed those and one needs to follow procedure in OP for now for some apps, it takes like 2 mins. This thing reboots so quick its nothing
Google now and voice dialer I'm not sure of

[ROM] [VECTUS] GN5 Project AOSP [V0.0] 4.4.2 (03-22-2014)

This is meant for the Sprint LG G2 (LS980)
Ok I don't have a fancy Name folks... So GN5 Project will suffice... This is just a little hobby rom I use. It's based on CM and designed to mimick the Nexus 5. So KISS is the word (keep it simple AND stupid). This rom is not fancy at all... It's vanilla actually. But thats for a reason... So YOU the user can add what you like and take away... Make it YOUR kitkat if you will... Click the screenshots button at the top for screenshots...
What's in this (v0.0)
Furnace Kernel -1.8.0 for AOSP (BIG thanks to Savoca!!!)
Stock Google (No MMS app, No Browser it uses Chrome and Hangouts like the N5)
Based on CM, it has all CM parts. IE all issues CM has
VTWEAKS. For example (naming a few and not all):
Wifi Scan Interval 240
My touchscreen sensitivity Mod
Window Max Events 300
Lots of init.d Tweaks (some not all):
SD Card speed 7168
Zipalign on Boot
Battery Calibration
Zipalign Data
Sqlite Optimized
Smoothness Tweaks[/HIDE]
Apps Included:
All google Apps
Google Wallet
Xposed for Kitkat (Thanks rovo980!)
NO SMS/MMS app (download what you want or use Hangouts or may I suggest 8sms?)
Kingsoft Office
Facebook
CM File Manager
N0-Frills CPU control
Screen Off
Torch
Sprint Voicemail (I'll include this later but pull the one from a stock rom and install as a regular app and it will work...) SEE 2nd POST
Playstore
Google Launcher
SolCalendar
Has N5 Alarms, Notifications, Ringtones, and Bootanimation
TRICK you may want to use: I don't use the included Kitkat Launcher. I use Apex (download it from the market). I activate screen off. In Apex I click behavior settings. Go to desktop double tap and click it. Click Launch App. Find Screen Off and click it. Hit OK. You can now double tap the screen in and turn the screen off!!! Inspire Launcher (an actual Kitkat Launcher has this same setting. Find Inspire in the Playstore).
NOTE: I don't have an agreement with Google therefore I don't need to use Gapps (the playstore is included)
How to flash:
First time installing to your LS980, or coming from another ROM:
- If you use a recovery OTHER than TWRP based. I can't help you (this rom will boot on ALL modems AND ZVA).
- Download the Rom
- Copy the rom ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Click Wipe
- Click Advanced Wipe
- Click Dalvik Cache, System, Data, and Cache
- Swipe to Wipe
- Got to Install
- Navigate to where you stored the Rom
- Click the Rom
- Swipe to confirm Flash
- Once complete REBOOT
That is all you need to do
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

ROM DOWNLOAD
FIX for Chrome lockup:
If you suffer Chrome lock up or strange Chrome behavior navigate to system/etc and delete the sysctl.conf file. And reboot. It will not have any adverse effects on the rom. Somehow I threw that file in there and its not needed... Thats why we don't develop while drinking beer folks lol.
SPARK FIX. I don't know if anyone else has suffered this but here is how I fixed it. After coming from a AOSP based rom I could NOT get Spark/LTE to work on a stock rom. I fixed this issue by using ##3282# (Hidden settings) and disabling band 41. The phone will then reboot. I then had LTE. I then used ##3282# again and went in and re-enabled band 41. The phone rebooted and my Spark AND Lte was working again. Please NOTE that you must be on a stock rom and you will need to have your MSL. Go HERE to get them. BIG thanks to chris0160 for posting them!

Same issue here. Flashes fine but no data or WiFi. I see the radio and prl are right. I am guessing an APN issue since we are not able to update profile..?

Thanks for the rom. I appreciate your hard work. How do I get my contacts to stick? And screen comes back on immediately after going dark(kit kat launcher) whether I use Power button or tap.
I don't know what happened, but now my contacts are sticking.
