Sweet thanks just about to install. Also do you know if the bootloader was updated with 4.2.2?

Wow, everything seems to work better. The 1440p timescape video that would stutter in mx player is buttery smooth now, apps launch lightning quick, websites load super fast, my benchmark in epic citadel is a few fps higher, scrolling seems smoother...I am very pleased!
Edit: I dirty flashed this over CM 10.1 with no problem. Ymmv.

Sorry to be so dense, but what does "flash with cwm" mean? I've searched for "cwm" but didn't find anything that looked like steps I could follow.

thanks for posting these images. i'm hopeful the new releases will fix a iffy proximity sensor, e.g., doesn't always disable the screen during phone calls. question: are you still uploading the image? i've tried a couple on times to download from Dev-Host and they stop at about 14%

I just extracted the "system.img" file from the official Google images and flashed via fastboot over the exisiting Jellybean 4.1.1 installation, and it works fine and even shows 4.1.2. in the about screen (although I did have to reflash SuperSU to restore root).
However, the home screen doesn't rotate like people are saying it does...is there some sort of setting I need to change?

[ROM] Stock Telus T989DTLUMC4 [06.29.2013]

Hi Everyone,
I was searching through the threads looking for the official stock Telus T989DTLUMC4 firmware update. I was able to find the Odin flashable version of the update but I was not able to find one that is flashable through recovery. So, I decided to make one and share with everyone here in the community.
This is the official Telus T989DTLUMC4 firmware downloaded from the SamMobile website. I have rooted, installed busybox, zipaligned and deodexed. I am currently running it on my T989D Telus Galaxy S 2 right now and it's running great.
I don't intend to add any additional tweaks/mods to this ROM. It is meant strictly for people that want the official TLUMC4 release but don't want to have to flash via odin and reroot.
Also, if any dev's or chefs want to use this as a base for their ROM please feel free to do so, you do not need to PM me to ask for permission. However, I do ask if you choose to use this base in your ROM please give me a thanks/thumbs up in the OP.

- Click on add another zip file and choose Infamous Cache Wipe

Have you tried T-Mobile stock ROM on your telus phone? I was thinking to set up a T-Mobile ROM for my bf to flash but if the telus one is better and less bloated I'll give this one a try.
Can someone that have tried both tell which is better. I own the T-Mobile version and have only tried the ROM from Jamison.

I actually just downloaded the stock firmware for the Tmobile version today, was going to build a Stock, rooted, deodexed version for the TMo guys and gals as well. When it's up I guess you can give this one and the TMo one a try and see which you like best. Typically Telus has less bloat but also doesn't have wifi calling.

Do you think it would be a bad idea to do a dirty flash to upgrade from the official Telus ICS ROM to this? I installed CWM to change radios but am still running the stock ROM. Sounds like a bad idea but I thought I might as well check here

I would not recommend dirty flashing from ICS to JB. Make a backup first of your current ICS stock ROM and then do a full clean wipe and install.

with minor modifications and only the modem and MyExtras_TMO.apk removed.
I built this Rom to hopefully kick start a little development for the M919N.
Please use it as a base with which to create Roms, Themes and Mods from our firmware.
Its also great for M919N users who want a fully working rooted and deodexed stock Rom

Thanks for the screenshot, that helps a lot.
Please go to "settings/more/about device" and check the build number and the baseband version. They should be the same version.
If they are not the same, that is what is causing the "prevention notification" you are getting. Most likely the result of going from a Tmobile Rom to this MetroPCS Rom. They each have different basebands. There are two possible fixes I've read about.
The first is the easiest, just flash the Tmobile rom you were using before. That should take care of the wifi and "prevention notification" and different baseband issues. This means you cant use this rom though.
The second is more time consuming but if you really want to get this metroPCS Rom running this is what you need to do:
Go to this thread Unofficial M919NUVUAMF2 Working!!!! and follow the directions to return the phone back to MetroPCS 100% stock via Odin.
Then install the recovery of your choice, OUDHS, TWRP, CWM, whatever you prefer.
Then flash this Rom again.

Thanks for your help and you are absolutely correct! Unfortunately there's no radio zip to flash for our phone and I have yet to make one. I'm no dev, I just follow directions reasonably well. I have yet to find a guide to make a flash-able radio zip and honestly, I'm working on something else at the moment, so I haven't really looked. For now, the fix I gave is the only fix for this issue. In the future that will probably change. Thanks again for your assistance

Hi Robcop,
Tmobile TWRP is what I use too, though there are versions that dont work properly for our phone.
Version 2.5.0.2 is definitely working for our phone.
Why dont you stop by here:

Check out the posts, including a thread that walks you through installing a recovery and easy rooting.
I look forward to seeing you there. Say hello when you do.
strange things are happening
I never had this problem before, I have downloaded the zip 4 times thinking I did something wrong with the process as simple as it is .lol
Used the stock my files app to copy the zip to the 64gb external sd card and even this last time I created a couple folders and put it in there although when I boot to recovery and factory reset then chose zip fromexternal sd card its not there and whats weird even more is I see an older file that I have deleted several times back again, its the root_zip I used with odin to originally root the device. Crazy huh I think the sd card must be damaged.

I flashed the multiwindow (which I couldn't find) version and did not have mobile data. I went to the APN section of system settings and was surprised to see none listed, which explained no data connection. Also under About Phone, my PRL was listed as "1". In the hopes of all this being an error, I restarted the phone and was immediately greeted with a screen telling me to activate the device to be able to call or get data. And in all my crack flashing I've never experienced that, so I ended up reverting to my previous nandroid.
With that said it did feel very smooth and ran well. Wifi worked and I was able to install some apps, but again couldn't find the multiwindow options. The build number stated the name of the other zip in the dev downloads, so maybe there was some mixup? But I'm definitely looking forward to more Omni. I've been on CM for so long, it'll be refreshing to run something else.

Awesome job man!! I'm also happy to find credit for the Security FC, at first we were fixing that crap with init.d scripts and then all of a sudden @mrvirginia told me to delete that file and everything was solid after that! do you know where he posted the fix so I can confirm and post credit in the op?

This based on Google Play devices ROM, it's closer to Nexus stock ROMs, not AOSP..

I've had it on for half a day and nothing yet. Also had it on charge and standby with Wi-Fi on. Still no reboots. Seems fine and extremely fast. But will let people know if I get a reboot.
