KDZ ERROR "File Extract Error." "Finished" - LG Optimus G (International)

hey, i have an LG optimus G 97310H i have rooted my phone but now i must send it away as it is having hardware issues.
i used superSU to permanent unroot. but for some reason SUPERSU PRO is still in my applications list.
and it dose not give me an option to remove just Enable OR DISABLE. so what im trying to do is remove it. so i thought if used KDZ and installed the official ROM. i downloaded the ROM from 2 sources. and when ever i put my phone in download mode. KDZ gives me this error.
"File Extract Error."
"Finished"
any help on how to fix the KDZ error. or if i can remove the superSU another way?
**** its also not a custom ROM installed ***

yes

Corrupted kdz? low free space available? virus?

Reboot pc and try different usb port.
LG Optimus G E971

I see no any reference between "File Extract Error" and "different usb port"
.KDZ is an archive, which will be privately unpacked by update tool and if the checksum of .dz (or .tot) is ok, flashed to the device.
"File Extract Error" means .kdz unpacking went wrong.

hmm mayve it is a bad kdz. do you know where i can find another one?
i tried one from the LG tool i found on here and one mirror

Any updates for this issue? I got a LG Optimus G Pro F240L from south korea and it is stuck in download mode. Everytime I use KDZ updater I got the same error: Extract File Error
Since it's a model less common I managed to get the KDZ from only one place (lg servers).
Need help lol!

KDZ unpack error
Have the same problem. Mine is Optimus G E977. I download 4, Official KDZ stock from LG Firmware list and very one gives the same error. I try to donwload again, and still the same error.
I also have a Optimus L7 and KDZ update function flawless. Maybe it's because the size (more than 1 gb).
Would appreciate any help

I think it's a corrupt download.try to download the kdz from browser, not with kdz updater.

KDZ unpack error
I already did. I download several KDZ files from different sites an for different countries. Nothing works when size is more than 1.0 gb. Smaller size files works well. The problem is that almost all KDZ files for Optimus G are more than 1.0 GB in size.

KDZ Unpack error
Could unpack several files (all of them less than 1.0 gb).
But large KDZ files (more than 1.0 gb) couldn't
Anyone knows where to get the latest version of KDZ_FW_UPD

Sorry, but I don't believe thats the problem.
Deleted the files and downloaded them again and that for the Hong Kong, Dutch and the Europe versions.
Well, check for viruses
I see no reason the size could affect extracting, except the case you got no free space on your disk the temp folder stored (Extracted rom takes 1.5gb of space).
So check the viruses, free space, secure flags
I've had problems with the last kdz files d/l directly from the LG servers. Tried multiple d/l but always crashed during extraction process. No space issues, no viruses, no problems previous to March 2013.

F180L here as well. Was gonna flash the newest 20P firmware this morning...
EDIT: I also tried this method: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f177/guide-how-update-kdz-firmware-1629632/

You can Update to F180L20P by using B2CAppSetup.exe (LGMobile Support Tool), thats how I did it, but I want to install the Bigger KDZ files from the E975 on mine F180 (without the Korean apps and dialer).

The only way is kdz updater.

If that .kdz file is bigger than 1gb, kdz updater will not work. Simply as that.
After searching around,i found there is a way to bypass official LG mobile support tool checks.
It's a litle more complicated,as you need to install small server and you have to edit hosts file in windows, but it will do the trick. You need to do this in order to make the app thinking it's downloading the rom from lg server.
here is the tutorial
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2085344
It's for the L9,but i think it will work F180 too....

it's not working. Even if it's file downloaded earlier with LG Mobile Support tool - it crashes during file extraction. Tried this with previous version of LG MST (this from thread You mentioned). Don't know why - tried only with one *.kdz.
BartxGamer - You can try this, but LG Mobile Support tool will update to new version, and it's hard to say - will it work?

You're wrong. I always go back to stock rom with this. If Phone is recognized with newest firmware, then You have to choose from options "Emergency firmware" and find ROM using IMEI.
there is an "IF" there. You got lucky, not working for everyone .What do you do if the phone is not recognized?

OR we will wait till official android 4.3 for F180k will be released. Than we should be able to update, i guess.
Yep, IF phone is recognized. But what if not? I tried it twice. And it stopped after checkint battery stats. You could only restart update or exit. And it writes, phone is nit connected.

where i can find this two files for e986?
Maybe with this two files can unbrick my phone?
Having looked into it recently, i believe it doesn't exist. U need to keep trying with the kdz files. I've bricked my phone a few times and they were all very difficult to unbrick.

This drove me crazy for about a good half hour. After working on this phone for over 6 hours and finally getting LG UP to work, it wouldn't recognize the KDZ file.
To get LG UP to accept a KDZ file, select Upgrade and then look for files.
BTW, if you're having issues getting LG UP to even recognize your device:
Make sure your device is in DOWNLOAD mode. The screen won't say "download". It will say "FIRMWARE UPGRADE".
Search for UPPERCUT on this site. Its a small executable that will automatically launch LG UP but before it does, it runs a few other things that make LG UP actually recognize your device.
GOOD LUCK!

Same problem "required info cannot be found". Any ideas? And it's definitely not about drivers - I've just flashed vs98613b w/o problem

I got the same MD5 hash.
I can confirm this KDZ works fine. I can also confirm that flashing this KDZ using the LGUP tool works perfect. I actually kind of like it better than the other flash tool. I like how it throws it into download mode automatically.
I just finished flashing this KDZ on my VS986

Glad to hear it worked for you.
LG UP is better because it is an official tool made be LGE, and also it puts the phone automatically into download mode (and also it is newer than LG Flash Tool )
Unfortunately, it seems that the LG KDZ link isn't working any longer. Does anyone have a mirror for the file, please?

EDIT: Download is working on my phone on the same Wifi network. Weird. Thank for the help!
Weird, neither Chrome nor IE gets a response from the site. I just checked again several times. I get:
"No data received
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data."
Maybe just my connection to it?
