[Q] Just bought a xperia S, bl not unlockable. any thoughts? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion
Hello everyone, i recently bought a Sony Xperia S, not new, but almost .
Some history...
I came from an motorola atrix, then i bought an Xperia Play, then this Xperia S and it feels a little strange with the locked bootloader .
So i went looking what i can do with this phone, i rooted it, i upgraded it to ICS, then installed cwm, then installed XZXperience, it looks very very good!!! i love it, but i really love the aosp look and i want to feel the full JB experience, not just a part of it =(...
Sadly the bl on my phone is not unlockable and simlocked aswell. I saw in other posts that if i ask for the simlock code it may or not make my bl unlockeable, that is true?, what i should do in order to get the bootloader unlocked? there is any hac-k or something like in the atrix is? if i call to the carrier, what should i ask them?, the bootloader unlock key ?

About the Defy+ and the 2011 bootloaders ???
Hello everybody! We know that the Defy's booloader is locked... but what about Defy+ ? Because the 2.3 on the Atrix unlock the bootloader so... maybe the Defy+... and Motorola said they'll unlock all 2011 bootloaders... Thank you!

But Motorola said they will unlock all 2011 devices an some 2011 devices... BUT... ... WTF???? Defy+ is a 2011 october device!!! I'm lost, I was sure that defy+ will be unlocked because it is a 2011 device but...
well, it is not that bad. You can even choose which 2.3 you will install. CM7, defy+, MIUI... When I look for support for other phones defy looks very promising..

What is the meaning of a locked boot-loader? What are its implications? Does it mean that locked boot loader devices can't be flashed with other ROMS?
With a locked bootloader you cannot change the kernel with a bypass you can but not change the kernel version and with an unlocked you re totally free Hope they will do smthng like they did with the atrix :O
Sony Xperia X10i unlock code
Hello newbie here! Purchased my first android phone, yay, Sony Xperia X10i but locked to the Three network in Uk, not so yay. I know question has been asked many times before, but I want to go down the code unlocking route as opposed to flashing firmware. [Q] Questions about Bootloader unlocking for my Arc
Hi there I recently purchase a Xperia Arc from Bouygues Telecom in France. I tried to unlock the bootloader using Sony Ericsson method at unlockbootloader.sonyericsson.com But when i type *#*#7378423#*#* to show configuration it says "Bootloader unlock allowed : No " So it looks like i'm a little stuck. Do i need seTools ? ICS for Arc available in Singapore handsets?
Hi guys, would like to ask if ICS is already available for Arc handsets in Singapore? I'm planning to re-lock my Arc's bootloader coz I'll be handing it over to another young family member and in future so they can update simply via OTA. Hi, I have Sony Xperia Z1f SO-02F (Docomo Japan Version). Can you guys please help me how to root this and I also want to use custom stock ROM of US or UK (the international z1 compact). I haven't tried rooting any phone before, so I have no idea what to do. I just have this issue with its docomo software, I wanted to remove those apps that drains the battery as well as the RAM. Also the annoying R = Roaming mode. Thanks guys, good day!
