It's called LatinImeGoogle.apk.
Here it is.
If that one doesn't work for you(some people say it doesn't, but it did for me) try the LatinIME.apk.
Have you tried Better Keyboard? I use it and like it a lot better than the stock one and its also customizable

Alright, I decided to try this for myself, and after trying both of these, and half a dozen other methods, I cannot seem to get it to work on this ROM, either.
Hopefully someone more informed than myself(shouldn't be very hard to find one of them) will come along and help us both out.

Secondary symbols/characters on Samsung keyboard

Hi all, somehow I've lost the secondary symbols on my Samsung keyboard. Does anyone know how to please get them back? I've searched and the only advice I could find were to add codes in the system/Csc, but it was for the galaxy s3. Although I did try it anyways, nothing happened!
Many thanks for your help

I know the feeling of what has happened to you, I hate it also. Just download and install Swift keyboard or flash a keyboard from a mod folder in Rom sections. Only thing I can think of un-other than having to be a pain in the ass!

I have multiple languages installed and when I switch from English (by swyping spacebar) the symbols disappear. Could this be your problem?

Many thanks for the suggestion; I might end up doing that. I just really like the Samsung keyboard. I tried flashing other Samsung keyboard mods, but they all end up without the secondary keys.

Thanks. I don't use any of the other languages that installed, but I'll try removing them to see if that helps.
Try this apk.
Don't install like an app. Rename SamsungIME.apk in System/App to SamsungIME.apk.bak.
Copy the apk and fix permissions (rw-r-r) and reboot.
Should be good as new. (Bonus, this has auto correct).
Thanks so much! Stupid question: you mean I rename the file currently on my phone right?

Yes. No need to delete it, just rename and copy new one over. If you don't like or prefer to go back, delete new one, rename old file back to original and reboot.
Argh! I just tried yours and still no secondary. I get the auto correct but no letters.

[Q] How do I get s-voice and "swipe to screenshot" back after flashing a rom?

[Q] How do I get s-voice and "swipe to screenshot" back after flashing a rom?
So today I flashed a rom, to my Galaxy S3 from AT&T. Once I got in and started playing around with it, I noticed that two very important things were missing; s-voice and the "swipe to screenshot" feature. I need to know how to get those two things back. I downloaded an apk for s-voice, but when I try to use it, it says I do not have a network connection. I also noticed that after installing said apk, that s-voice settings were not seen in the system settings. I am not much of a noob when it comes to flashing roms, but this is the first time I have come across this situation. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Rom: [ROM] BAKED d2att BB #8 (3-16-2013) <---- I obtained this from rootzwiki. Will not let me post a link... :crying:
Kernel: 3.0.66-cyanogenmod-g3ff1c31
Device: SGH-1747

That's a pretty outdated build, I would suggest flashing something newer, and from this site...
It is an AOSP ROM. It does not come with support for S-Voice and Gestures by default unless the dev works it in.

Well is there one that you can recommend? I want a fun look to the rom and the ability to change themes, and of course I want to have all of my S3 exclusive features still available.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I highly recommend this ROM!! There are many great Roms for this phone, this is just my personal favorite, been stuck on it for a while. Many customizations in the aroma installer.
Does it still have the s-voice and swipe to screenshot?

[Q] CRT screen on/off animation?

Hey Guys,
Back when i had my Nokia n95 "great phone", i could download and install a small animation thing that could animate the screen-turn-on and off so that it looked the a CRT screen from the old days?
- Does anyone know if such a thing exists for the Note II, or if its hard to code?

Just like the Nexus ones?

Rooted is easy to install, non rooted, I don't know how. But it's totally doable.

Hey Xnes,
This is exactly what I needed?
My phone is not rooted, and if possible, I would like to keep it this way?
- But if it is needed, then i will do it...!
Any other ideas?
General Bobo
I use Wanam's great ROM. It can be enabled in this ROM. I suppose you don't want to flash a whole new ROM though when you don't want to root though. I think you need at least root to be able to change it.

Hey,
I will try to find Wanams rom.. And hope its easy to install..! But im not sure that i understand the last part of your message? "I suppose you don't want to flash a whole new ROM though when you don't want to root though. I think you need at least root to be able to change it." :$
General Bobo
For non rooted you can use an app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
I have the widget on my home screen. You then have to configure for crt effect. Here are my settings.
I'm happy enough with it.

My apologies, when I read it back it is indeed lousy English. I meant that when you don't actually want to root your device, flashing a whole new rom might be too much. I must say that besides the animation, the rom gives a lot more nice features, yet it stays close to the original Samsung rom, so it would still be interesting to look at maybe. Installing is quite easy and explained in the WanamLite rom thread.
