[Rom] [7/12/13] [4.2.2] [Unofficial] [Aokp] [Full Linaro Optimizations][Pdroid] - Nexus 10 Original Android Development

This Rom was built by apophis9283
He gave me permission to post this rom on his behalf.
I'm a crack flasher and use his galaxy nexus rom. I asked if he could build one for the nexus ten and he was kind enough to do so. I think it's pretty flawless, no lag or bugs. That being said apophis9283 does not have a nexus 10 and is cautionary on building blind. He may make a build once a week he is still contemplating whether or not he will maintain this. If he makes a new build i will update the OP.
Few things from apophis9283:
1) All code is written by the members of team AOKP.
2) I am not a developer. I am an Android hobbyist.
3) I am not affiliated with team AOKP, therefore any issues you have with the ROM cannot be brought to team AOKP

Re: [2.22.13] [Rom] [4.2.2] [Aokp][Linaro] [Lots of options]
Can report I have yet to have a random reboot which happened religiously on other Roms. So far battery life has been around par with other Roms. No artifacts when playing games. See no need to switch kernels.

Can I use the regular gapps from goo?

yes

Re: [2.22.13] [Rom] [4.2.2] [Aokp][Linaro] [Lots of options]
Awesome ROM. Just a small question, is there a way to reduce the navbar transparency in tablet Ui mode?
Thnx

I have this loaded and it runs fine. What options does this have over the standard AOKP? I normally run the PUB builds of AOKP and I don't see any new options.

I've been playing with this for a while and it's smooth and fast when coupled with Franco's Kernel.
Just for fun I bench marked it and scored over 16k in antutu and just over 6k on quadrant.

this rom is sweet. fast. featured pack. by far the best rom i have tried on any devices.
hope we see regular builds

Pound for pound his toro build is more complete with more goodies my personal favorite. But this is the best on the nexus 10 so far. The Nexus ten is just a better piece of hardware than the gnex

Re: [2.22.13] [Rom] [4.2.2] [Aokp][Linaro]
So far best ROM for N10. Not a single reboot or SOD. Running with stock kernel. I gonna give couple more days to settle down and report back. Thanks for for giving us another choice. Your work is highly appreciated

Interesting that'd be great. I'm still on stock 4.2.1 with KT's kernel and want to move on to a 4.2.2 base, looks like your ROM might be my next step
Thanks for your work!

Gps took like 15 minutes to connect....tried to play need for speed game lags intensively ...is it possible to flash stock kernel? That usually fixes those issues for me. Aside from that ROM is awesome

flash whatever kernel you like.
lag is still an issue - it's a kernel issue and needs to be fixed by the kernel devs.

We've pulled all beta3 downloads for the moment. Somehow Nova Prime ended up mixed into the build, rather than Nova Free. Obviously this is completely unacceptable so please bear with us while we refresh our builds and get Beta 3.1 out to you as soon as possible. We'll also be incorporating the latest device tree fixes as some very new and interesting ones have entered the scene today.
Team Liquid would also like to extend our sincere apologies to TeslaCoil Software and ask all of you to support their work.

Damn, this ROM is snappy! I combined it with ak dummy kernel and set it to 1350 oc, and I get the highest benchmarks ever. I know benchmarks don't mean much, but they are a measure of performance. Also, everything just seems "instant". Nice work.
There are certain customizations I miss from other Roms, but for now I can't ignore how smooth everything is.
Also, I seem to not be able to get GPS to connect.

Please, keep this thread friendly, clean, and respectable. You are all more than welcome to have casual conversations in my thread, so long as you guys don't break any rules, and help out others that ask questions. I will be participating too. I'm not the kind of dev to make (Or kang, in this instance) a ROM and then leave you guys. I am more than willing to help you guys out, just please don't insult me, or others. And please, don't 'flame' me for not compiling this ROM from source. I am working on a source build as we speak, and intend to update the ROM further down the road from actual AOSP source, versus 'Kanging' CyanogenMods. And I know Kangs aren't typically accepted in this community, but this is for the kind of user who wants amazing audio quality, a reliable source, and constant updates. If you don't like this ROM, please give me some constructive criticism, instead of making fun of me for Kanging.
Anyways... Enjoy! And feel free to ask questions. Just don't repeat them, or ask them in a rude or demanding manner.

Managed to get this rom installed with the latest franco kernel nightlly #361. So far everything seems to be working the same as the previous rom I was on. Which was the latest CM nightlly and franco kernel. One thing I would like to mention is my mac id issue is gone with this ROM. Ever since I got my GNEX and started using CM roms, my mac id would change every time i rebooted my phone. Now it's static again. Not sure what you did with this one considering it's based on the last rom I was using, but please dont change it in the future builds lol.

Hahaha, I'm not taking credit for this all I really did was copy/paste except for a few bits of writing 'code' into the build.prop
Ill get into customizing/theming apps soon.

The only bugs to report so far (other than FFC) Is navbar and led light settings force close under settings. Other than that it seems perfect so far. Great work!

If I remember correctly, you could fix it by editing the build.prop

[Discontinued] [AOKP] [Linaro 4.8.1] [AWESOME AUDIO] [Hercules]

So I've done some remodeling for a bit and I've now decided to create a little community on Google Plus where we can informally address issues with things I do and ideas for more things I can try.
This will be discontinued but make sure to join G+ and follow me there!
Here is the link to my G+ community. https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/107891541077154929804
Also I've decided that goo.im has such a high user demand that I've decided to use COPY for all of the future build releases. You can still find my stuff on goo.im but I'll primarily focus on uploading things to COPY. Here is the link to my COPY account https://copy.com/eQvTcgdXKB0g
Trademark Features: (Included in all ROMs)
- Linaro 4.8.1 Keychain for Framework
- Awesome BEATS
- Noozoxide
- A cherry picked arrangement of audio drivers!
[ROM LINKS]
All Builds can be found at http://goo.im/devs/Cl3Kener/AOKP
Installation instructions
1. For best results a FULL wipe is required. Please back up your ROM before you begin!!!
2. Download any of the above links
3. Reboot into recovery with TWRP or CWRM
3. Flash the ROM and flash latest Gapps
4. Reboot
5. Navigate to Settings>Sound>Music effects and make sure to select Awesome BEATS as your default!
6. Tweak Beats Audio and Noozxoide EIZO to your liking. (I prefer enabling Extreme Bass on Awesome Beats and Large-II on Monitor size under Noozoide) This will create a Huge Bass Sound!
Note: You may want to turn the volume down first and slowly raise it up so you don't blow your headphones or speakers.
Upgrading
For an upgrade to newer version you can "dirty flash" by rebooting to recovery installing the update then wiping cache and dalvik. You might get a few fcs after "dirty flashing" so make sure to fix file permissions afterwards. I recommend using ROM Manager because it does the most thorough job!
If the keyboard is not working right you can fix it by flashing the AOKP KEYBOARD FIXER
Special thanks to:
- AOKP team for the base!
- The creators of the audio drivers! (Team AC1D, the Awesome BEATS guys, etc)
- Eli Billauer for creating Frandom
- Android88 (For always being so helpful and encouraging!)

Thanks Cory you're the best! I really appreciate your help and support!
I'm kind of confused about what you meant by building from source. I thought I was building from source all along from my first builds to these here. For example, if you look at the kernel it will tell you it is built by [email protected]
I guess you should probably know a little about me and my geeky background. I've been an Ubuntu geek for years (since 2007) and I can use terminal in my sleep. I figured out how to build via terminal commands in about a day because it seemed similar to the commands I run in Linux. I started because I was tired of downloading cm nightlies. I recently learned how to edited the list of apps for these builds and I tweaked the GCCs so it would compile this ROM the way I wanted it. Is that not building from source?
I don't want you to think I'm upset by posting this. I'm just curious as to what building from source means to other android devs if what I just described is not in fact "building from source". Maybe my terminology is incorrect and I need to update my vocabulary from Linux Desktops to Android ROMs so as not to mislead or confuse anyone.
Again I appreciate your help and the very optimistic comments you post everywhere! Please help me out if I'm not truly building from source so I have a better understanding of how to compile even better ROMs.

I don't know much about building from source but i do
know that the best roms on here are coming from one source
and his name is cl3kener!!! hey i respect all developers out there
but i hate when guys come with the passive aggressive bull!!
this guy has brought something fresh and different to the table.
there is room for everyone to do there thing. don't scare people away by
saying things like when are you going to build from this or that.
the important thing is that you guys keep building... the best way to win an argument
is to never have it....because even if you win you still lost...
can't we all just get along.. you guys are probably to young to know who said that..lol:laugh::laugh:
Re: [ROM] [AOKP] [AWESOME AUDIO AOKP] T-MOB Galaxy SII Hercules
I agree. CI3keener is the best if not one of the best XDA dev. Rarely in any ROM I had tried in the past has the perfection and smoothness like his build. I'm a big fans of audio mod so with that factor he is definitely own me.
Now for the update. I am running aokp 1.1 build. I can't believe how good this ROM has become. Vibration is strong. Haven't try the audio but I'm pretty sure it will be boom. One surprise, I can run sip phone now! I'm using mizudroid and set it up like I told you before. Audio recorder set to mic, etc.
Will give you more updates later.
Great job!

Help guys. So i downloaded the rom from my phone, copied it to my sd card and flashed the rom. Everything was working fine until a few hours later, my phone magically shut off and it won't turn back on.
You know that little vibration it makes when rebooting? Well yeah, it does that non stop unless i take off the battery. I have already tried going to teamwin recovery and a few seconds in the phone shuts off.
I have also tried going in download mode and i see the menu, press the volume up and in a matter of seconds the phone shuts off again. I guess i have a paper weight brick. Any suggestions?

I just posted it here because these are personal builds, and not in development. There are plenty of Roms in the Dev section already, just sharing my personal preference. The min. CPU is at 200, kick it up for better performance, I keep it low for better battery life. Lag gets better as it settles in.

I have a quick question. It seems like since moving from 4.2 to 4.3 it seems like dolphin and next browser scolling lags. It doesnt seem to lag in chrome but in those other 2 browsers it does. It that a bug with 4.3 or the browser itself? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks

It's the browser..had the same issue, so I just use chrome now.
Greetings. I am one of the lead devs for Vanir. Do you compile this from source? if you do would you be interested in becoming our official device maintainer? the responsibilities include general bug reporting/testing, updating the device tree and vendor blobs when necessary. not much. also, you can link the official build server in the OP so you don't have to compile/upload constantly.

Yes, compiled from your source, unaltered. Yes, I have time to be a maintainer. I'll contact you after the weekend.
