Did you check under Settings > Display > Notification Panel ? You should have a checkbox there saying 'Brightness Adjustement'.

On stock GSM ROM 4.0.2:
Go to the "Settings" > "Sound" > "Vibrate on touch", which should turn off all vibrations including the lock screen vibration.

Ok not to start a new topic..
What rom / mod is suggested for daily use... that has these two options:
-turn off vibration on lock screen
-turn off vibration while moving icons / folders / widgets..
Very annoying! Ayone?

I have been using Liquid ROM for a week and I noticed that the vibration disappeared. I dont know how I did it, but it's gone! I hope it's not just malfunctioning!
I have yet to find a Rom that does not have it.

I am currently looking into this. I lowered the vibration in my kernel to lower the vibration on the lockscreen but some have complained that it lowers it too much for their liking for instance when the ringer is off and just vibration on...
anyways, when you toggle vibrate on touch in settings it is not "global" and it remains on the lockscreen.
the changes need to be made in
Code:
core/java/com/android/internal/widget/RotarySelector.java
and
Code:
core/java/com/android/internal/widget/SlidingTab.java
it's possible the changes are in cm9 (they are in cm7) but I am going to merge these into aokp and submit a pull request
How did you edit the vibration in your rom? I would like to turn it up on my phone. I can barely feel it in my pocket when I'm doing something else.

Lockscreen timeout delay

Hello,
I'm using CM 10.1, and I've been looking for an option to change the lockscreen timeout from when the screen is already locked. For example, the screen is locked, and I push the home button to show my lockscreen, the lockscreen stays on for about 15-20 seconds before it times out. Is there any way to change the duration through the settings or possibly and Xposed Framwork mod? I cannot seem to find anything.
Kind Regards,
-
Any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean.. there's nothing in my notification center pertaining to a timeout toggle.

Yes, unfortunately I've searched through the settings already, there doesn't appear to exist such an option.

Try the xposed framework mod or a different mod or try a different rom but am 100% sure that its there on Cm 10.1, i have used CM for a while and again 1000% sure that timeout change settings is there built in either its you or the phone one or the other, this is not something to nag about

After that, go to your app settings to check if the option is there. I usually test things by sending an email to myself.

I use LightFlow (paid version), works great. There is a free version which you can use to test the LED. Colors, etc.
[EDIT] OK, colors were on my Nexus 4.

How can I disable the backlight on the capacitive buttons?

I've looked around and haven't found a decent solution. gravity box has the option to turn them off but doesn't work, maybe it's my ROM?
In stock ROM, under Settings > Display > Touch key light duration > Always off.
If you're using custom rom, maybe they took that out?
