Hello everyone! This is a very basic utility and doesn't really do much right now except debloat the VZW Gnex 4.2.2 build. There will be more features added to this utility within time (such as re-bloating for returning to stock and much much more) but for now it's just a basic debloater.
Why A Debloater?
Well first of all, this is my very first utility so I'm still new to this lol. Also, if you're like me, you love custom ROMs, but for some reason, you like modified stock ROMs even more. With this utility, you don't have to do the debloating. Just run the tool and you're all set!
Although the utility will list the apks it will delete before it does so. Here is a list of them:
Books.apk
Currents.apk
GoogleEarth.apk
Magazines.apk
MyVerizon.apk
PlusOne.apk
Thinkfree.apk
VerizonSSO.apk
Videos.apk
Wallet.apk
So there you have it. Please don't comment saying stuff like "it's ugly," lol I've already said a couple times that it is a basic utility and will be enhanced further within time. This will continue to be a work-in-progress. Thank you though for taking the time to look at this and please click the "Thanks" button below

ummmm you do realize this is the GSM Galaxy Nexus section
If you like t moved let me know.
looking over your script, y dont you add the odex files in it?
Also why not have it perform, adb uninstall <packagename> that way it deletes EVERYTHING, such as the data folders and so on, not just the apk.
Wouldn't have to place the phone in recovery mode for this.
Just a thought

It's finally working thanks again to Houka420 for the help, I made this using six6sicks Ubuntu bootanimation. Wanted to keep it simple yet classy like a real OS bootscreen.
Feedback appreciated

It was hidden files inside the part folders that were causing the problems. Next time that happens just go into folder options & select show hidden files & delete any files inside the part folders besides your png's (assuming you're running windows) & you should be good to go.

Nice work...i like it..
Simple is sober
I don't know why this was stickied.... and moved to this section.
Very nice boot animation, looks very similar to Ubuntu, and it feels like a real full blown os boot screen. Being a windows 7 user I'd rather have something more flashy, but thats probably just me.
I dig it. Nice work!
Glad to see this is back in the right section , and to those who voted on the poll. u hurt my feelings, nah jk don't feed the trolls and all.
I like it
Good stuff, seen better however.

Yup the one and only
Anychance you could extract it? I'm away from my proper setup for a while.
Simply unyaffs it.
But i don't suggest you to do that cause it suck.
It shows default gingerbread launcher, and default lockscreen, and touchscreen doesn't work.
I managed to get touchcscreen and screen off working, but can't understand where is honeycomb launcher...
That's actually what I wanted to check. Seems they have foregone updating the regular screen layouts. =/
They honeycomb launcher is in the XLarge folders of launcher2.
Seems there's still holding some stuff for AOSP. The HC gallery isn't there either.

[MOD] Wifi Calling icon change

I always hated the Wifi Calling icon that comes with stock.
THANKS TO GUIDANCE FROM THIS THREAD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468578
I have created a flashable zip that will change the icons (See attached). The Icons will show up on your phone.
I have verified that this works on my phone. However, I take no responsiblity as to what this might do to your phone. So Nandroid backup first.
In case you want to revert back, use this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468578

Your mockups look great, I'd like to try them out too. Do you have a link to the forum posts, did a search and didn't find them.

There was another thread to get rid of the icons all together. If you want to use the ones I attached, just replace the images in the OP and follow the directions to flash.

[APP] S-Voice on SII + How-To Guide!

The S3 firmware has been out for a while and it comes with lot of suprises! Like it is 1GB in total!
Another surprise is that it comes with S-Voice and Many more features! Currently, I have tested S-Voice on AOSP ROM (SGS2! DUH!)
On to the How-To guide:
Things Needed:
AOSP or CM9
APKs package from here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662050 (All APPs are included so that you can play and test all of them if they work)
Patience
Process:
Just Find the voicetalk.apk and put it on your device.
Make sure Third-Party Apps are allowed to install!
Now go to that apk with a File Manager on your device.
Then just install it as a normal apk and there you go!
Congrats you have S-Voice!

It's kinda slow due to slow connection between Samsung servers but still it's Awesome!
RESERVED
Hum fine !
But now, you've got to edit somes files to make it works. --> Or 'Network Error'
Source :
http://news.softpedia.com/news/Samsung-Blocks-Unofficial-S-Voice-Service-Usage-270794.shtml
Go in Root Explorer, open /system, edit the "build.prop".
Replace all "GT-I9200" by "GT-I9300", and "galaxys2" by "galaxys3".
Then Reboot.
After That, all Right, and let's play !

Actually Samsung has busted S-Voice for the unofficial devices other then Galaxy S3, so this actually doesn't work. To fix it replace GT-I9100 values in the build.prop file to GT-I9300 to cheat Vlingo's servers.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26385605&postcount=34511
Try here, All credits go to MyLifeRocks10 for the link, its one where you dont need to change build prop. Also Ive found that disabling the wake up command stops the FC i was getting, and i havent had a network error since.
i think changing build.prop will cause market errors

}
This is the most easy method I´ve found so far.
Just make sure to enable Install from Unknown Sources.
How to Root Motorola Razr D1 XT914:
1. Install latest version of Framaroot and launch the app
2. Select "Boromir", then restart phone.
Now the phone is rooted! congrats and enjoy using advanced options and apps like Adfree, Titanium Backup and else.
You can check if it worked by looking for Superuser in your phone's app list
and by the way, remember to allow root access only to apps you really trust.

Seems like a fake; it mentions a different phone model, meaning this method would brick the XT914.
sweet
worked fabulous
Hello There,
I just rooted my Razr D1, and now of course I would like to uninstall those bloated system apks, so the phone runs faster. As a newbie, I'm not sure which apks I can safely remove. Is there a list of them that I could use as a guidance ?
Thanks for any hint.
Best Wishes

I haven't tried that, since it usually takes a lot of trial/error steps, you could instead try installing Greenify to make the phone faster, works great in mine.
