CM9 / CM10: Wrong pin bug after restart and login possible without Pin - Samsung Galaxy W I8150

Wrong pin bug after restart and login possible without Pin:
Sporadically (once a week) after a reboot the following situation occurs:
1. The Pin screen pop up > You can type the correct pin but it is always recognized as wrong
2. After the second attempt > You reboot the device again
3. The Galaxy W starts with Flight Modus > You can disable Flight Modus > Now your SIM works without Pin
(Tested and occured on the following ROMS: CM10 Alpha 6, CM9 RC2, CM9 RC6)
Issue was seen on two different Galaxy W devices, therefor I assume that this should be a know bug.

Help- com.android.phone Error Loop CM7

I am getting a com.android.phone stopped unexpectedly error every two seconds. I press Force Close and it pops back up. I've wiped twice now and it helps for about 10 minutes, then the loop starts again. This happened with Skype and Handcent as well, but I just uninstalled those.
I'm using CM7.
I have been having the same issue. It happened in RC1, nightly #5 and #6. So far the only thing i have been able to find is that Titanium may be causing it. Im gunna try and reflash and just not restore any thing. Are you using titanium?
I have the same issue. I have tried to wiped(cache, Dalvik, and factory), and reflashed the ROM and still get the error. I have tried to fix permissions. Did not work. Reflash all the radios and that did not work. I have wipe all data and wipe SD and reflash a re-download CM7 and gapps and still did not work. So I started a CM7 bug tracker. The bug issue number is 3502. The HTC incredible with CM7 is having the same issue. I hope this helps.
I have the same issue. It started when I flashed 7.0.2.1. Since then I've tried flashing back to 7.0.2 and still had the same problem. Tried the latest nightly too. The phone works great until I reboot it a few times then it starts to crash as soon as I unlock it. I know that it's going to crash com.android.phone before even unlocking it because when it does boot up it powers up with airplane mode on and there is no signal. This sucks because I was really liking CM7. I'm back on good old Myn'sRLS5 now with no problems. I hope this issue if fixed soon. I'm missing the speed and customizations of CM7.

When you guys are flashing, are you flashing the latest gapps with it?
I know this thread is from 4 months ago, but it was on first page of google search. So I will post the tutorial here in case it helps anyone.
<<<<<<<<EASIEST METHOD>>>>>>>>
no adb shell, no terminal, no paid apps.
Put your phone in airplane mode
Download the free app "Sqlite" (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.droidbean.sqliteReader&feature=search_result) from market (need superuser)
Click at:
0) ..
1) Data/data
2) com.android.providers.settings
3) databases
4) settings.db
5) secure
Go down and find "preferred_network_mode"
Go right and find its value (mine was 7). Change to 0.
Tap menu button and close the Sqlite.
Reboot. Done!
Ps: I recommend you to delete the widget!
Note: Im not an expert in android root. I have a Galaxy S i9000. Use at your own risk (my dream's to write this phrase!!)

Wow, I've been looking everywhere for an answer to my force close loop with the radio. The version of MIUI I have on my fascinate has a 2G/3G toggle and when setting it the entry 3g preferred, it sets the database entry preferred_network_mode to 0. The fascinate uses a CDMA based radio so I would get a force close constantly on that mode. Looking at the different possible modes from this list:
0: WCDMA preferred
1: GSM only
2: WCDMA only
3: GSM auto (PRL)
4: CDMA auto (PRL)
5: EvDo only
6: GSM/CDMA auto (PRL)
7: Unknown
I was able to figure out the right mode for my radio (Verizon CDMA). Thanks a lot for pointing this out! Would be nice to recompile this rom with my own customized entries for the widget. Also never knew there existed a small app that can modify database records, so this is a lovely addition to my root app arsenal .

[Q] Wifi Toggle Not Functioning (CM10)

Hey, I've got CM10 on my GS3. When I go under Settings, the Wifi toggle is set to Off and grayed out so I can't toggle it. When I go to Wifi, it just says "Turning on Wifi" indefinitely. I also have issues with wifi tethering sometimes.
Any solutions to this? I haven't been able to find any posts on it. I'd prefer not to reset to another ROM, but if there's no other ways to fix this, oh well.
Thanks!
Flash to a TW rom and see if it works.
If it doesnt work, try the following:

So as to fix this problem, some people suggest to do a Factory reset. But, it is completely unnecessary.Instead you can try the following methods, which where tested by me successfully.
1. Dial *#*#526#*#* to reload the wifi driver. If it doesn’t work, restart your phone and dial it once gain.It will work for sure.
2.There is an app “Wifi-Fixer” from android market, which claims to be fix this problem. But seriously,it hadn’t worked for my mobile phone(Samsung Galaxy Ace). But,
if you are interested, can download and try it here.
For HTC users, I have a pretty good trick which works very well.
When you have obtaining IP address problem,
1.Turn off wifi.
2.Open “Allshare”, then you will be asked to connect to a wifi network.
3.Then select the wifi network that you need to connect from the list opened.
Magically, you will be connected without any extra effort. This works 100% sure without fail.
If that doesnt work try this:
1.Dial *#*#526#*#*.Then a message will be shown “Driver loading Successful”.
2.Now Start the WiFi, it should work.
If the message “Driver Loading Unsuccessful” is shown, follow these steps:
1. Dial *#*#526#*#* again and click options button on your phone.
2. Select Rx test.
3. Select Channel >9 .
4. Click Start and exit.
5 . After some time, turn on the wifi.It should work.

My phone won't even let me dial that, the code disappears the second I hit star the last time, not sure if it's supposed to do that. I'm gonna just try updating CM and see if that fixes it.

[Q] Mobile ID problem [sPIN]

Hello,
I have special SIM card issued by my operator which enables mobile ID use (with sPIN authentication) for connecting to bank or e-government. Works like this:
1. The user clicks the "Log in with mobile ID" option on a supported website
2. The phone displays a screen indicating that a connection is being made
3. The user is prompted to enter a mobile ID sPIN code into the phone
4. The screen on the phone disappears and the website is automatically reloaded with a logged in screen
It worked fine with stock firmware, but after I've rooted my HOX I'm not getting sPIN request screen anymore (step 3).
Have tried several custom AOSP or AOKP ROMs without luck, but found some of them partly working.
One I'm using right now is [ROM][4.2.2] Slim Bean - Endeavoru [STABLE][Build 7]. Mobile ID worked for first days after flashing it but later I was only able to use it for a few random times (after restarts). Then it works till next restart...
I was first thinking its an issue of incompatible apps I've installed or system settings I've mixed up, but somehow it works sometimes after restart (with very low success rate though). Also tried to restart into safe mode - it worked for the first time, but no luck for the next ~20 safe mode restarts after that.
I've also found hints it could be stk (SIM Application Toolkit) related problem. I can see SIM toolkit in my app list, though it doesnt' show up on running processes on developer tools.
If you're still reading this and have any ideas, please make some comments, maybe it would help me to get back on the right track, thanks!

[Q] Problem with Galaxy Tab 7'' update

Hello.
I recently got myself a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7in and everything seemed to be working just fine until the system eventually prompted me to update the Samsung software. I followed the steps, the tablet downloaded the update files itself and rebooted in order to install the updates. Problem is, during the reboot/installation process the screen remained black with just 2 lines of pixels on across the screen, I though this was part of the booting process but it just stood there for more than 10 minutes so I decided to turn it back on. Everything seemed to be fine, but then an error message came up saying there could be problems with the software (i didn't pay too much attention), but after this it won't let me install any apps. After an app is done downloading a message pops up saying "unknown error code during application install -110", plus my computer (or any other computer) doesn't detect when it's plugged in via USB cable. I've tried doing several factory resets and wipes and still have the same issues. Tried installing Kies but it won't detect it either.
How can I repair the firmware without having to connect the tablet to my computer? Is there anything I can download directly to it or transfer via Bluetooth to re-install the software?
Any help will be very much appreciated
Try resetting it back to factory defaults. You can google it easily.

my friend has the same problem. did you fix the issue? if so how?
I am using the Apex Launcher but I think this is possible with stock launcher as well hopefully it helps someone. This is one way to do a factory reset is:
You will need your MSL TO DO THIS. If you don't know it put the "Factory Mode" shortcut on your home screen then skip down to the 2nd part of this post & install the msl app.
FACTORY RESET:
1) long click on the home screen
2) click on shortcut
3) select Activities
4)Scroll down to "Factory Mode" tap it then select the dropled down one. This will put a Shortcut on the Home Screen.
5) Find the Factory Mode shortcut you just made & tap it to open it.
6) Dial ##786# then on the screen that pops up
7) select "RESET"
8)enter your msl in the box that popped up then select ok then the device will reboot & when it powers backup it will be like it was from the factory & if you don't know your MSL follow the instructions below.
TO GET MSL:
1) In a browser type bit.ly/mslutility - can sideload if needed
2)install app
3) Open app & click get MSL it will most likely fail this is fine.
4) click on the factory mode shortcut you made to open it
5) dial ##3282# & put in 6 zeros-it will tell you that it's incorrect this is fine. Go back to home screen
6) Open the MSL App & click on Get MSL-this time it should give you your devices 6 digit MSL Code. Write it down. Then do step # 6 above to reset your Device.
This shortcut will allow you to put the Sprint SGT3 into DIAG MODE(##3424#) , get into the ##data#(##3282#) menu, do the factory reset ##RTN# (##786#) & most likely any other Dialer/hidden menu's for this device.
Thanks to the MSL App builder(not sure who it is so let me know please)
