Hi,
I just had some free time, and so I wrote a quick tool for beginners to root their Xperia S on 6.1.A.2.55.
Disclaimer
Your warranty is now void.

Pre Requirements
* Unlocked Bootloader
* USB-Debugging switched on
How to use:
* Connect your Xperia S with the Computer
* Start the "Rooting-Tool.exe"
* Wait...
* Have fun with your rooted Xperia S
In the downloaded .zip is a folder.
In this folder is a .exe file and another folder named "Root-Toolbox".
The "Root-Toolbox" folder you have to copy to the root directory of your PC (C:\), otherwise it won't work.
The .exe file doen't matter where you put it.

Dude rooting any ics based operating system this days is just as easy as flashing a kernel with auto-root,

Hi, I´m a beginner,
It worked for me on Xperia SL (ST26ii), now it is rooted. (I use this stock ROM from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2134097)

can you please tell me how to do it, i tried but still keep on saying waiting for the device? all i did, plug my phone with usb debugging mode and unknown application and run the exe file after rebooting it always says waiting for the device?

I just combined the bootanimation of Sony make.believe (with sound) with Xperia Z Ultra bootanimation.
first off, I made both bootanimtions working on most of Sony Xperia phones (2011, 2012, 2013), and as mentioned up, I just combined both of them into one bootanimation with sound, and I also fixed the position of Xperia Z Ultra bootanimation flow, so now it looks well centered.
**I'm not sure if it's gonna work on all Xperia phones especially 2011 generation, but worth a try
before you proceed with the download, check my videos to see how both bootanimations looks on your phone.

REQUIREMENT:
ROOTED PHONE, STOCK ROMS & SOME CUSTOM ROMS: GB ICS JB (Working on Acro S Trinity ROM, Xperia S CM 10)

XPERIA: Z, ZL , Z Ultra, S, SL, ION, acro S, T, V, SP, ZR, P, C, Arc S, Neo V, Ray, U, Sola, Neo L, J, L, M, Live with Walkman, Miro, Go, Tipo, E...etc
INSTRUCTIONS:
- A phone backup is recommended in case something goes wrong.
backup with CWM recovery or any other third party app like Online Nandroid
- after backing up your phone, just copy the bootanimation.zip file into your SDcard.
- browse the copied bootanimation file using file manager or root explorer, and make sure that those options are checked:
Root Explorer
Mount System Folders
so this way, your file manager has a root access and writable system folders.
- go to system/media, then save a copy of your original bootanimation.zip in other folder if you want to restore it back, then paste the bootanimation.zip you just putted into your SDcard in the same folder and overwrite the existing one.
- set the permission to the new bootanimation to rw -r -r and REBOOT your phone.
**after your phone boots up, you'll see the new bootanimation on the screen, same like the videos.

make sure your phone is not in silent/vibration mode, because it uses (media sound) so if the volume is set to down you might not hear anything... put all ur volume UP to MAX, reboot ur phone and try again...

Xperia M C1904_15.4.A.0.23 Generic INDIAN firmware
Hey guys, i just repacked the INDIAN firmware for xperia M i.e. the C1904 using the PC Companion yesterday, people here in INDIA are a bit conscious about the change in the version by the global firmware, as it makes the device C1905. So here's a bit effort done by me, please appreciate if you find it useful.
Here is the link for the Single folder from my Google drive, It includes 4 parts, i made it so because many people says that G-drive doesn't allows some time to resume the file, so download it in fragments and enjoy :angel:

Add this line in build.prop
dalvik.vm.verify-bytecode=false
dalvik.vm.dexopt-flags=v=n,o=v,m=y
