there's no error in installing the drivers, the status is "device not found"

Phone [Q] my laptop doesn't recognize my phone (flash mode & fastboot mode)
Try this:
(1) Go to device manager
(2) Plug phone in and look for any changes in your list of devices (maybe under other devices) should have a yellow box with exclamation mark
(3) Once found right click then click browse my computer for driver software (point to the folder where drivers are)
(4) Install from there make sure driver signature is off like instructions above :good:

Use this ( View attachment driver_androidusb.zip )... It will work for Arc S and Other
click Thanks if I Help

still not working...
here is the device status...
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
A request for the USB BOS descriptor failed.

try to uninstall any Android Emulator programs you have

Check also if both ends of the usb cable are properly connected and intact to phone and laptop.

Install Android SDK, open it, install all drivers with it. That should do the thing, if I remember correctly.

how do you install the drivers using android sdk?

If it's possible for you and not too painstaking, try and format your system, and then do a fresh install. Worked for me when I had a similar problem in the past.

S1 Boot Download and SEMC HSUSB Device driver

Hi everyone
Since i updated firmware from .42 to .62 via flashtool, i've got a weird behaviour when i plug my phone in Flash mode.
It's recognized as S1 boot download with a yellow triangle thingy, i installed usb flash drivers, now it's with SEMC Flash Device as hardware, then after 30s-1min it reboots and turns to SEMC HSUSB Device, a mass storage entity.
Can you help me fix this so i can access fastboot?
I reverted back to .42 via wotan, erase all drivers with usbdeview, plug it back, nothing works. I surely did something wrong but i can't spot it.
Tried on another pc, same behavior. Something's missing/corrupt in the phone.
i have a similiar problem, i cant access fastboot, message waiting for device, in device manager i cant install the driver cause it tells me not found.
Any Idea?
I was having strange problems when trying to install the drivers on a windows 7 PC. i had to install GordansGate drivers but it still didnt work. I ended up installing PDAnet or something and it installed all the correct drivers for me and using the latest version of flashtool i can do everything from there (flashtool, fastboot, adb)
i tried so much, but it wont recognize the driver -.- dont know what to do, every time when i try it with device manager->S1BootFastboot->install driver it tells me that my drivers directory are not the right drivers -.-
install this and run through the setup carefully and follow each step. this fixed my driver (not recognizing device) problems on my desktop
http://junefabrics.com/android/download.php
hope this solves your problems because i was going mad with mine for ages
ok solved my problem by installing flashtool and the flashtool drivers. now everything works fine
Hey! I have the same problem on my Mini.
When connecting, Device manager says "S1boot ..." and the icon has yellow triangle, but then it changes to "SEMC Flash Device"
Fastboot gives "<waiting for device>"
What Flashtool version have you had when you installed it's drivers?
Did you add that .inf file from SE site?

R800i Issues with USB Driver and Bootloader!

Hi Guys,
Any help would be great! i do have google talk if anyone is willing to help me out!
My R800i Is rooted and has a version of recovery but not sure which version, i am wanting to update my phone with a better kernel and rom since the current one i have installed is giving me issues ( not being able to receive incoming calls for example )
Another problem is i reformatted the phone since i was having issues with receiving calls but now when i connect my phone to ANY computer via the USB cable the computer trys to install MTP or MSC driver ( depends on which connection type i select ) the Installer fails and i cant even take any files off my phone.
Provided details below. i want to somehow get into the current bootloader and install the ROM thats on my SD card! i do have flashtool installed and Android tool SDK installed but still no success in phone wanting to talk to my laptop.
I am running windows 7 64 bit. i am starting to think the phone is belond repair since i cant get any software to work between the phone and computer.
does anyone know what buttons i need to push on the Xperia Play to enter into the boot loader, i have tried pressing the back button and search button on phone boot but nothing happens apart from the phone starts up normally.
would a factory reset delete the boot loader and other config-ed software off the phone is this why i cant enter the boot loader or am i not pressing the right buttons on boot.
Any help would be really appreciated!

If you want to change the kernel you must unlock your bootloader. If your Xperia Play is a SIM free one, you can do it for free in this link: http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com
For SIM locked devices I think you must find another ways to do it. There are some online sites that unlock bootloader to SIM locked devices for a fee.
Once you have unlocked your bootloader, turn off the phone, hold on the search button, plug the USB cable in the computer, release the search button (power button LED will be blue) and install this driver: http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Google-USB-Driver-Revision4-Download-139077.html
Now you are ready to flash any kernel you want with Flashtool or any other app.
Thanks for the information, i have already done this, i payed £25 for a guy on this forum to unlock my phone to any network. i'll give this a try and get back to you, problem is the phone doesn't like to talk to my laptop via USB cable keeps on failing to install the drivers..
Thanks for quick response.

I have tried what you said but having problems with connecting my phone to my Windows 7 Laptop!
Check your device manager. The fastest way to open it is running this command: devmgmt.msc
There must be some kind of Android device while your phone is connected in fastboot mode. If you see it, update its driver with the Google USB driver v4 pointing at the folder path with the uncompressed files.

Hi I tried what you said, i Turned off my phone and holded the search button and turned it back on, the light went blue and the computer popped up trying to install fast boot i point to the SDK folder to update the driver but it fails.
do you have google talk might be easier on there to talk! cheers!
I'm not using gtalk atm. Sorry.
Be sure the driver you downloaded is named usb_driver_rev4.zip: http://drivers.softpedia.com/dyn-postdownload.php?p=139077&t=4&i=1
If Windows doesn't detects any driver in that uncompressed folder, you can choose to select the device from a list, point to that folder and force to install the driver. It's named something like Android ADB Interface.

Just tried, i put my phone into Media Transfer Mode.. my computer tried to install the MTP usb device and i directed the installation to the driver you linked..
Update Driver Software says: the best driver software for your device is already installed MTP USB DEVICE, there is a small yellow triangle on the icon and in MTP USB Device Properties it says: This device cannot start. (Code 10)
i need someone to Teamviewer with me, for the record i don't have the Sony Ericsson software installed on my Computer because that still wont install the drivers for my phone, i also know its not needed for installing new kernel and roms.
i tried connecting this phone to a bunch of pcs including my friends and it still fails to install any drivers!!! i think i am just going to bin this phone! i have had enough (
You must install that driver when you plug the phone in fastboot mode. It shouldn't work in any other case. In other words, when you plug your Xperia Play being powered on and Android is running it needs one driver, and when you boot it in fastboot mode you need other driver.
Please, install the driver following the steps previously posted with your phone in fastboot mode (blue LED).
Hello, i put my phone into fastboot mode, my device manager shows 1 device not installed S1Boot Fastboot, i right click go to properties and click update driver...
then i browse my computer for driver software i point the location to usb_driver_rev4\usb_driver and it says: Windows was unable to install your s1Boot fastboot!
Ok, let's see...
Try to update the driver using the "choose from a list" option to force the installation, point to the driver folder and select "Android ADB Interface" from the list. If Windows shows a warning message don't worry about it and go ahead.
i tryed this and its not wanting to work (
Sorry to hear that because I don't have any more ideas for your problem.
Maybe you may spend some minutes searching in the forum to find some detail that can help you.
i need someone with teamviewer to help me go though the setup process again, if anyone is willing to get my phone working i will happy pay them some money!
Thanks Jcarbox for all your support!
Regards
Paul
I just check the Windows device manager with my phone plugged in bootloader mode and it appears as Android Bootloader Interface, so this is the device you must choose from the list when you install the driver.
Hope this helps you.

hi PsychoShaft,
I had similar problems. I don't know how to fix it permanently. but i do this to make it work for some time.First, download flashtool and install it.Open your device manager and select view->show hidden drivers. Then, delete all your drivers related to xperia play. like the adb interface, semc flash ,etc. All of them in all categories. then reboot your computer into safe mode with administrator and connect your device with flashtool running in your windows in safe mode. then the flashtool will indicate that you don't have the drivers. then, open the drivers folder in flashtool and use the setup to install arc-play-...,flashmode drivers and fastboot mode drivers.then after the installation is over windows will ask you to reboot.now reboot with your mobile connected. after boot windows will automatically install the drivers. then unplug your phone and turn off it and connect in flash/fastboot mode.it will automatically install drivers.wait for windows to say drivers installed successfully or installation failed. don't unplug it in the middle of the process then you will have to start from first.sometimes it will not work in the first time ,then reboot into safe mode and try again installing the drivers and rebooting into safe mode itself and connecting your device.at one point of time flashtool will say your device is connected in flas/fastboot mode.then continue with flashing
Gladwin.
Thanks for the support guys i managed to solve the issue!

[Q] Driver's problem

Hi! I'vs just bought a new computer and I have to migrate from my desktop PC to the new laptop. The problem comes after restart the PC. I've installed the Android SDK, the PCCompanion, the Gordon's Gate drivers and the fastboot drivers from flashtool, as on my desktop computer with the advanced reinstall to avoid the prohibition to install unsigned drivers. The problem comes here because with my PC I could flash kernels at this point, but, in my new laptop appears another unknow device called Sony Fastboot Interface inside Android Device in the Device Manager. Any ideas?
No one?
What happens when you try to install the drivers ?
Is it in any way colides with flashing and so on ?
IF not then don't worry.
When I finish, appears another unknow device (Android Bootloader Interface) and if I try to flash a kernel, the console gives me waiting for device
I recall installing few drivers.
1 Regular usb
2 Fastboot mode drivers
3 Flashtool drivers
Try googling "xperia fastboot drivers" and download any you can find, i remember downloading some from sony's official webiste.
Here:
http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/fastboot-driver/
Connect the device in normal mode and fastboot mode and manually select the path to the drivers.
I ended up doing it in windows safe mode, because my pc kept freezing.

[Q] Xperia Z1 Compact on Windows 7 64bit

Tried to connect my phone to a Windows 7 64bit PC using the USB cable but Windows couldn't find the device driver for D5503. I found these from the Sony site and downloaded them but I couldn't install them manually either. Anyone managed to gracefully connect this to a PC?

I have a Win7 64Bit System. I have not yet tested on Win8.1 64bit, but will do in the next days.
"Through Update" means, that my (already installed) PC Companion had informed me for an updated version 1-2 weeks ago and I've installed it.
So last Friday I just plugged the Z1C and it the driver was installed and I was able to use my phone on the computer.
If you installed the PC Companion after you connected your phone, than you might have to remove the device within the device manager. After a reboot it should work. At least my experience with other Sony devices.

I read that. But I have windows media player installed. Who doesn't on a Windows pc, its default?
I have it working on laptop, will give up with the PC.
Same problems as described above.
Following worked for my PC: (I have a Dutch windows (7, 64) and translated the following commands in English. So it is possible that these commands are named different in the English windows version.)
Go to device manager, right click on D5503 (with the yellow triangle), Search for device on my computer (second option), I want to choose from the driver list on my computer, uncheck view compatible hardware, standard MTP device, MTP USB device.
The Phone has to be set on MTP in the USB connection setting to use it with PC companion
Same issue here, any ideas?
USB debugging and MTP already worked successful, but now it's not working anymore.
Following situation:
If I disable USB debugging and plug USB cable into PC then nothing is shown in Windows Explorer and even not in the device manager. The field "MTP" is greyed out/disabled in XPERIA connectivity -> USB connection.
If I enable USB debugging, phone says "connected" however Windows is showing yellow triangle. I tried to download the drivers from http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/drivers/xperia-z1-compact-driver/ but Windows doesn't detect them.
If I try to uninstall the drivers right click on D5503 (with yellow triangle) nothing happens.
Phone reset the only idea?
Ok, I got it.

Hi there, I'm having the same problem. I've installed the CWM recovery, but stupidly didn't check that I could access the phone over USB beforehand. Now I'm stuck with a continuously rebooting phone, and windows says it can't install the Sony driver.
When you said you added the above two lines to the android_winusb.inf file, what did you mean? I found this file in the

Any help appreciated, thanks.

If you can install PC Companion then it should be fine, the correct z1c driver will be installed for your windows and Adb will work normally. But just some people never can install PCC successfully and they will need to modify their android_winusb.inf to add two lines and let your windows to recognize your Z1c.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2635830
Alternative way is to install Xperia driver set but I have never tried this method.

If you stuck in a boot loop with wrong recovery(I just tried it today). I'm afraid you have to flash a .ftf and clean all things out. At first, you can try to boot into fastboot mode(you will need to make sure your adb works) and try to flash other custom recovery and wish no boot loop again.

if drivers are not installed properly.. Start Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 in "Disabled Driver Sginature Mode" (Google this if you don't know how)
if you think drivers are installed correctly.. then do one think cuz I also face the same issue.. Don't connect the Device and then try to FLash by the electric signal..
first select the firmware .. click ok.. then let the software tell u.. to connect the Device.. do that and it should work !! let us know.
Drivers are "SEMC Flash Device" for "S1Boot Fastboot". And when i try to load kernel first when device is disabled it gives me this.

Maybe "back" button is stuck. Can you boot into android (doesn't matter is it custom rom or official firmware)
Also, try different usb port or different usb cable
Untill you found a solution you can flash custom kernels in .ftf format (you can flash them in flash mode)

Yeah, it looks like phone is ok
Try to uninsatll all related drivers from PC (go to device manager, righ-click on driver, then "uninstall"). Do it when for all 3 modes (flash, normal and fastboot mode)
Then disconnect and connect phone again.
Or choose to manually install drivers for
Or reinstall flashtool

Okay I downloaded uninstalled my flashtool, then uninstalled drivers, installed flashtool 0.9.10.1, then drivers from C:/Flashtool/drivers and installed just Xperia PLAY and fastboot drivers, then i connect device in fastboot (Blue LED) and it says "08/045/2015 11:45:32 - ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device.
08/045/2015 11:45:32 - ERROR - You can find them in the drivers folder of Flashtool.
" but i installed them, so i installed them manualy i searched for them somewhere, from 3 drivers i selected Android Bootloader Interface but everytime it install Android ADB Interface so problem is in drivers i think.

if you are using Windows 8 or 8.1 .. try going into "Disable Signature mode for Drivers" in advanced startup and then try installing the Drivers !!
btw I install ADB drivers from the ADB package.. that is in the folder Fastboot and ADB Package\Drivers\google-usb_driver
try this.. but install in the mode I told u above.. uninstall the previous devices.. and when it Says Confirm Uninstall theirs a small box below that telling u "delete Drivers" and Uninstall.. tick that.
