[Q] LOOP_SET_FD failed: Device or resource busy - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First of, jump down to the red dotted line for what i need help with, the text above just explains root method, phone and programs i have installed.
Thanks for taking the time.
I have been searching and reading up on every problem I've had so far in the install, i have come to a dead end and i need to get pushed a step further, i need help.
I am installing BT5 ARM on my Note 2 N7100.
Whatever the reason, i grew up with BT and i have my reasons why i want it on my phone (if i wanted to crack someone i would have just used my BT on USB, i have a lot of different things like this mostly for nostalgia)
I have a Note 2 N7100 with android 4.1.2
I rooted my phone using METHOD 2 in this thread (Odin307)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143479
I have SuperSU BusyBox and AndroidVNC
All installed and working as they should.

Now it gets wierd.
On Terminal Emulator i grant SU and go into the BT5 folder and boot the "bootbt" file.
"ioctl LOOP_SET_FD failed: Device or resource busy"
I am not a linux expert, I am what you will call an experienced n00b :good:
I was up LATE last night and i figured out something i cant remember now.
It was something about if my device had "loop 1-2-3-4 etc" enabled?
AND that i might need an modified "bootbt" file ?
I am so stuck and I have been staring in the eyes of this problem for so long i have gone blind.
Help me see.
Thank you.

I have the same problem on my samsung s5

good to know
you need custom kernel, as stock doesn't support it

Need a new Rom

A few weeks back I took my first foray into rooting my phone and quickly went onto flashing my first rom (Cyanogen 10.2 for Virgin Mobile Epic 4g touch.) I created a backup of my original phone OS ( which when reloaded now goes into a boot loop) however the reason I originally left it was so i could get software that would work as slick as possible with the hardware and Cyan 10.2 does that except for the Data which has fallen by the wayside as the Dev gets on with real life.
I then went to flash Cyan 10.1 as i figured it would be a lot more stable and have the kinks Ironed out. Unfortuneatley I cant even get it to install properly as the the android symbol keels over and dies indicating an install issue before the Rom can even be put on the device. So I'm looking to see if anyone has a Rom that works as flawlessly as possible any ideas?
Don't know what your style is, but here are 4 of the best/most updated TouchWiz ROMs out there. You want everything to work, so TouchWiz is the only way to go on this device.

There is no BEST and yet they are all the BEST. Members are expected to research and read through the Development threads. The only thing you will get here is a list of all the ROM's because every member has found what is best for them. You can get the same list by looking at the first few pages in development.

Adaway hosts file problem, rooted with CF-Auto-Root

Just received my T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900T yesterday and it's gorgeous! I used CF-Auto-Root to get root in under 30 seconds as advertised! I installed F-Droid and then Adaway, which is my ad blocker of choice, but it has a problem writing the hosts file. I was wondering if this has something to do with not having access to a particular partition? It's not really a huge ordeal and I know the device is brand new but I thought I would throw this out there just in case anyone else had noticed the issue or has a solution. Thanks in advance.

Make sure Busybox is up to date. If you installed it, rebooted, and it still doesn't work, try enabling USB debugging, and try again. That worked for me in the past when I had issues with it not working right.

To update my own results. I couldn't get it to work normally. I had to change the host destination in settings to /data/data/hosts, and then let the app create a symlink. Now it works great.

[SOLVED] Need help with htc one x

Okay, so i have a htc one x that has no lcd and digitizer (my fault) problem with that im trying to get past the swipe the unlock part so i can get a few files and toss out the phone. i've been at this for about 3 months now (on and off) with no luck. i've read thousands of posts everywhere and i can't seem to find a solution. Going the adb shell input route seems promising but i can't seem to figure out the xy coordinates. None of this would'nt be a problem with the phone would stop reading the stupid Error code 10 crap with device manager. kinda hopping putting the phone in recovery mode would help but it didnt lol. although they're times where the phone reads for a bit and im able to get a few files out without a problem but sometime later it just tells me to eat a ****. i could ramble on all day about this so question is.. is there anyway someone could help me with adb route or know of a simple interactive mirror display i could use. i just nned to get past the swipe screen and im all good after that. yes usb debuggin is enabled. i turn that on with every phone i get. (rooted phones and etc.. in the past) but forgot everything.
Alright,
I've found a temp solution to my problem and I decided to post it here for everyone else that came across this problem.
THIS IS JUST A TEMP FIX. IF YOU'RE ABLE TO UNLOCK VIA LOCK SCREEN THERE IS NO NEED TO TRY THIS.
I tried to explain it the best i could. if you have any questions just reply to this thread. i'll do my best to help. I decided to post pictures with the explanation in them. Due to this isn't a complicated process and can be done in a very short amount of time.

Hello! I'm new here and am not good at English, so I'm using the google translator. I apologize for any errors in writing or respect the rules.
I'm from Brazil and have a cel LG G Prime D337 Lollipop 5.0.2.
I really need to run the XInternalSD module or any other solution to use SD or reverse the internal memory x external memory, because my phone has a small internal memory that just fast (sold as 8GB, but with less than 3GB available for use) ...
My phone is to root, but when I install Xposed gives the following message (in red in the picture):
---
"The Xposed is not compatible (yet) with the Android SDK version 21 or architecture of your processor (armeabi-v7a)."
CAN NOT LINK EXECUTABLE: could not load library "libdvm.so" needed by "/data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/app_process"; Caused by library "libdvm.so" not found. "
---
Has a solution someone can help me? Something that can be done in cel or any trial version that can solve? :crying::crying::crying::crying:
Best regards
Use the sdk21 arm file from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811?goto=newpost
I looked at the topic and unfortunately the things that seem too complicated for me ... it's all very new to me and I'm beginner ... tried to let me know and I've read about making custom recovery and I could not understand what it is and how is done safely to avoid losing the phone off ... which are many files to download and I get confused ... = [
It would be nice to someone who had already done it on a cell of the same model of my LG G Prime D337
Is there a way to emulate it on your computer and do tests to figure out how to do so without spoiling the cel?
Thanks for listening!
Best regards!
I am having this problem too and havent found a way to fix it.

KingRoot >>> Stage 3 - Root User Account: Failed (Alcatel OneTouch Elevate)

I tried to achieve full root with KingRoot 5.3.7 Android app, but something strange is going on after I achieved a sort of Bizarro root

and here's why:
Root Authorization & Auto Authorization is enabled
Phone is optimized
Two apps have root authorization, supposedly
Stage 2-Superuser Binary Files: Installed
Log First Half
Log Second Half
Also, su binary is already occupied, so SuperSU cannot update the su binary. What do you suggest I do to root the user account and be successful at stage 3? This phone doesn't support fastboot as far as I can tell from adb commands not activating it. I can't install a custom recovery on this phone, believe me, I've tried. Any ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated no matter who it comes from.
Usually, you get a big ass orangish-reddish X when the root is NOT installed correctly. As you saw in the pic from my phone the device icon is just grayed out instead. The example below of normal unsuccessful root message:
ONLY AN EXAMPLE (NOT THE PHONE I EH, ALMOST FULL ROOTED, I GUESS)
When I reboot the Alcatel OneTouch Elevate, KingRoot states that the phone is unrooted.
Thanks in advance guys and gals
