[ROM][VISION][11/8/11] HoneySenseHD Port 2.0 ---STABLE---

This is the HoneySense ROM ported from the desireHD to the desireZ! i like it, its fast, and looks elegant. What cuts it apart from the others, is the speed of a sense 2.1 rom, the versatility of sense 3, and the slickness of honeycomb. This uses virtuous OC daemon, so if you install setCPU or any other overclock app, it will disable.
How to install
(OPTIONAL) NANDROID BACKUP
(optional, RECOMMENDED! Some of the updates wont work if you dont) 1.Wipe EVERYTHING
2.install the ROM ZIP in clockworkmod

IF YOUR WIFI DOES NOT WORK, FLASH THE UNITY V4 KERNEL ONTOP OF THIS. Here is the LINK !
Anything with a V infront of it (V1, V2, V2873924 etc) is an RC, so V1 is RC1. Anything without a V is not an RC.
THE DESIRE Z HBOOT IS REQUIRED!
Read the tutorial at http://www.virtuousrom.com/2011/06/t-mobile-g2-users-migrating-to-desirez.html to migrate to it.
Alternative Way to install Desire Z HBOOT
1. Download the PC10IMG.zip from the link above
2. Place it on the root of your SD
3. Boot into Bootloader
4. Choose the appropriate options
5. Remove the PC10IMG from the root, or else you cant boot into clockwork mod.
BTW, THIS ALSO CHANGES THE RADIO, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO FLASH A DIFFERENT RADIO

It's a complete sense 3 rom, but its not slow. it may be slow first, but give it time to settle in, and it will speed up plus in the next version i will make corrections to make it faster, and create a patch to remove the CRT animations, as they cause an orange led bug to occur.

Very nice and congrats can't wait to try it.

Hi there, thanks for posting up this supposed teaser. A couple things:
A: What exactly about this rom sets it apart from the plethora of other Sense3.0 ports to the DesireZ/G2.
B: You posted 5 completely identical screen shots of the exact same four screens, all of whom were undersized and difficult to see. Considering that this is a step up from the usual zero screen shots I can see why you felt that somehow more=better but let me assure you we would all be better off that if we could actually see one set of four, this would make me happier than punched beets.
C: There is a thread naming scheme in place to prevent confusion, is there any way you can edit your OP to reflect this? (On second look it seems you just forgot the date)
I look forward to seeing what you have to offer, welcome to XDA please try and help make this place not be the insufferable hellhole of double quotes, "+1"s, crap themeing, and poorly implemented code that this place seems to thrive on. Remember not all of us are 15 and have all day to bugtest!

Yes I am perfectly serious. We have thread naming standards for a reason. He posted a ton of the same screens, they're undersized and hard to see. He also didn't really say what puts him apart from the rest. I fail to see the issue here.
I'm certainly not denigrating his work or the amount of time he put into its development. I believe all of these are valid questions. Why you gotta hate the fact that I'm not immediately sucking **** over a rom that hasn't even been put up for download yet?
PS: It's people like you that make me want to set fire to the internet. Go soak your head.
Edit: Now, shall we all grow up a bit and let the OP address my questions or shall we continue this pointless derail until one or the both of us gets banned, OR the mods decide to "delete offending material" which may or may not include perfectly legitimate questions.

A:what sets it apart is the look, it gives it a classic honeycomb look, whilst maintaining the functionality of sense 3
B: I have resolved this issue.
C: i will have a look on the naming scheme, and change it accordingly. Thanks.

[FIX] Ultra & Super Smooth Sense 4.0 Launcher (Rosie) + AutoRotate + Supercharged

Sense 4.1 launcher on base 2.17.401.2 renders this mod obsolete, the launcher is 60fps smooth and locked, with full 3d widget and LWP, an amazing achievement HTC, keep it up!
This mod is only for Sense 4.0 bases but you can still use this thread to supercharge your ROM
This mod is reverse .smali rewrite that's actually changing with each Sense release from HTC, requires lots of testing and many times major recoding, code samples can be found in this post in other words its not a simple variable switch
Ultra Smooth Launcher locks the frame rate during page scroll in Sense launcher (Rosie.apk)
Essentially it's an optimization which forces Rosie to flatten the layers depth effect in Sense widgets, this effect is resource heavy and the reason for frame drops or stutter, the stock kernel rarely ramps the CPU clock beyond 1GHz or 2 cores in Sense launcher, which is good for both the battery and temps but causes random lag when dealing with this effect.
It's available in two flavors: screenshots
Super Smooth Rosie
This will keep the layered widgets in the intial screen you begin scrolling from and freezes/flattens all the other pages until you stop scrolling.
It will satisfy those who don't want to completely lose the effect. There might still be a very slight frame rate drop during the initial 3D flip.
This mod is applied to both FxWorkspace.smali and FxWorkspaceClient.smali
Ultra Smooth Rosie
This mod goes even further, it completely disables the layers effect by flattening and freezing all homescreens during scroll. Locked liquid smooth 60fps!
Any lag or stutter you experience at this point is not caused by Sense launcher.
This mod is applied to both FxWorkspace.smali and FxWorkspaceClient.smali
Sense 4.0 - HTC One X (international) - Downloads
- Smooth Rosie mods for test Base 2.05.401.2
- Smooth Rosie mods for test Base 2.05.401.2 + AutoRotate
- Smooth Rosie mods for test Base 1.29.401.11

This mod will simply replace your Rosie.apk and remove Rosie.odex if it's there, back up just in case!
It works on both custom and stock rooted ROMs (the zip file requires BusyBox)
No need for wipe and you can flash them over each other using recovery, the stock file is provided in case you want to go back

Remaining random stutter & lag
Any stutter you experience after applying ultra smooth is no longer self caused by the Sense launcher itself.
You need to remember that switching ROMs every two days, means nothing will ever be smooth, simply because ROMs needs a while to settle everything and cache.
Equally Android's multitasking priority groups are likely to blame, you can try the following to apply Supercharger's OOM priority fixes and reduce random stutter.
There might still be a downloaded app or widget running amok in the background, running task manager will help you identify problematic apps.

Supercharger's patched services.jar for One X test base 2.15.401.5
Supercharger's patched services.jar for One X test base 2.05.401.2
Supercharger's patched services.jar for One X base 1.29.401.11 + tutorial
Increase Interface Response
If this is not included in your ROM by default, add the following to build.prop, this will be added if you choose Miscellaneous & 3G tweaks in supercharger
windowsmgr.max_events_.per_sec=200
UI Frame Rate Cap
This line is not needed since ICS is 60 by default, but if you add it to build.prop you will limit the UI FPS to your liking for example if you like 30fps, make sure to include the spaces:
persist.sys.NV_FPSLIMIT = 60
Warnings
This will only work on ROMs based on the ruu file number included in the zip filename, therefore you will lose any mod applied to rosie, such as transparent app drawer or themes, you can ask forum members to provide an updated version of these mods or you can search in this thread many members are posting their version of this mod, also note if you ever uninstalled and restored the sense launcher through Titanium backup this zip file won't work, since TB restores the launcher to system/app/com.htc.launcher.apk, so you will have to unzip, rename and manually push the file.
Poll [VOTE] Do you want Official Sense Launcher locked @ 60FPS?
Please contribute to this poll! in the hope that HTC will remove this effect in future version of Sense or at the least provide an options to disable it and so provide an out of box locked smooth launcher experience.
A locked smooth launcher concludes the initial perception of the device performance.
[UPDATE] Success! stock launcher is now locked 60fps smooth on update 2.17.401.2

The modified code
A lot of lines were added so to find out what was changed:
- Download the full version of notepad++
- Download the Modded and Stock, FxWorkspace.smali & FxWorspaceClient.smali files
- Use the Plugins>Compare in notepad++ to compare each file with its stock alternative, it will highlight the added code for you
- The only difference between Ultra and Super is FxWorkspaceClient.smali file, where there are two conditions :cond_9 switched to :cond_3a
Extracting & repacking classes
- Download Backsmali pack and extract to a folder of your choice
- Copy your stock Rosie.apk to the same folder
- use 1-UnpackClassoutFromRosie.apk.bat file is provided to extract classout folder from classes.dex inside Rosie.apk
- Mod the .smali files using notepad++
- Once you are done modding use 2-RepakClassout.bat to repack the classes.dex file
- rename Rosie.apk to Rosie.zip and replace the classes.dex file using winrar etc
- rename back to Rosie.apk
- Done
AutoRotate patch
- com/htc/launcher/settings/SettingsUtil.smali, find the method "isSupportOrientationChange" and change the last "const/4 v0, 0x0" in the method to "const/4 v0, 0x1"

deal breaking bugs are fixed, re-written completely with clean code
but didn't test for a long time, so report what you find

yes as long as its the same base software number, keep in mind if Bindroid includes modes to Rosie or tweaks menu they will go away, better ask you Chef

Make a nandbackup just in case, wipe cache and dalvik (just in case again) and flash in CWM

One word. Wow. You can notice the difference. Works like a charm. Very smooth. Working on LeeDRoID latest.

have proven to work and really appreciate the improvement, however, apparently affect the mods, which had installed, for example in the case had the mod applications dougi, 6 x 6 app to flash after the change has been returned to the original 4 x 4, there would be some way to keep the previous mod?

yes it affects the modes, the mod creator will have to include it in his future version
any mode applied to Rosie.apk will go away, mine is purely stock
the difference is day and night, I'm trying it right now and I can finally use Sense launcher

what really pissing me off is that this how its supposed to be out of box on the One X
nearly everyone who bought the One X around me been surprised by the launcher lag and all puzzled given the CPU

Yeah I seen your edits. I was fixing to ask How the Hell you hacked rosie_shortcut m10 for ultra smooth But I see now we had to skip this part. & if I post my addition somewhere, Of course you will get my praise &thx. this is much needed bro thanks for sharing.

Thanks. It is still a work in progress though, as I haven't optimized it that much yet. Also working on the 1% battery for both internal and dock battery which I should have done pretty soon.

I would need help with someone making a kernel that supports the TG on 4.2. When that happens, I can see if I can support it, but I would need help with testing since I don't own one. (they don't even sell any of the 3g/4g models of any transformer in Canada lol)

Me too...I tried building a kernel for the TG from scratch but none dev that I am, I just gave up before I could brick my device LOL

How was the download URL for the rom? It's an up and coming new service and it has a lot of potential.

I use my tablet for work and having Barney the dinosaur in the task bar is embarrassing, can you either provide an option to toggle it or explain how to remove it totally.
In the 4.2 Launcher the Return/Home/Running buttons are in the middle of the tablet in landscape which makes them hard to reach with thumbs. Can you left align them please.
Can you remove the SD card inserted and docking connected notifications which make no sense at all to me.
Oh, what exactly are 1% battery mods?

So you don't like Grimlock eh? Sounds like you were not a product of the 80's LOL.
Anyway, attached is a TWRP flashable zip to get rid of the Grimlock icons, but the main rom will still include them.

As for the 4.2 interface. That is the way Google intended them to be and I'm not sure there is a simple way to align them to the left. Not sure why Google thought this would be a good idea. I just stick with the 4.1 launcher.

As for the 1% battery mods, what I mean is that the battery icons change every 1% as opposed to stock Android, which only changes every 15% or so (don't know the exact number and don't feel like looking it up haha) so you will have a more accurate read of your battery % meters without having to open up the notification screen.

Very nice ROM, used it for a few when I messed up another ROM. I would still being using it but I too really don't like the dino on the lock or brightness controls.
I will be watching this ROM to see how it plays out in the future.

Thanks for the fix, I was a young adult in the 80s
I have switched to 4.1 which has the added bonus of ditching the oversized Google bar from the top of the screen.
That makes sense.

Please note - to any TF300TG users out there, within the next few days I should be releasing a rom specifically designed for you guys and I plan on making the two roms have a similar feature set. I'm just waiting for some feedback from a couple testers to see if my kernel tweaks make everything work and hopefully it will be up soon.

Disclaimer! I'm not reliable for any problems arising with your device from the use of this ROM.
Please continue at your own risk, and as always, make a NANDROID.
- Removed some bloat in /system/app/. Left 3 launchers for choice, and stability. (Crashing
cLock.apk)
- Removed mpdecision from /system/bin/ for slightly better battery. (Allows overclocking, and
underclocking without being bothered by locked CPU multipliers, etc.)
- Forced GPU to render graphics and UI by modifying a line in /lib/egl, and renaming a file to
.bak (Improvement to battery life)
- All "videos" in media/video have been deleted to save space.
- Alarm_Rooster2.ogg was kept as an alarm, tweeters.ogg was kept as a notification,
FriendlyGhost.ogg was kept as a ringtone. All others have been removed.
- All foriegn tts/langpico files have been removed. Sorry, I only understand English and basic
Spanish, so I'm only supporting English for the ROM.
- Added my own personal customized list of build.prop tweaks tried over different devices, and
ROMs, to push more performance and battery life out of your device.
- Added Supremacy v3 script with permission of it's creator, be sure to stop by and say thanks!
- Added AC!D Audio Mod v7 for AOSP with the help of Team AC!D, permission given from R-ikfoot! Be

Nice work overall, but still a little bit unstable. Been getting RR every so often. Running the stock kernel. I will flash another kernel and see if it stabilizes. Came from a full wipe.
Edit: Too unstable. Flashed BMS and I am still getting RR. Let me know when you update.

I was getting RR on multiple things, but Facebook was one of them. It would RR just standing idle not doing anything. It's good work it just needs fine tuning. :thumbup:

Thanks. I'm thinking of seeing if there's a 3.069 ROM for Rootbox since 3.4.y isn't in its prime yet. I couldn't find a release (but there's tons of them and no change log so I'm gonna have to download them all and check em out myself)
Meanwhile I'm running LiquidSmooth v2.1 with the same setup here and its nice and stable. With permission from Mike and his Team, I'll see if I can bring that here as well.

This ROM is for individuals who understand that I am learning myself. So you will have to be forgiven on careless mistakes because I am no Jamison nor Mr. Impossible. But this does not mean that I will upload anything that I know will mess up with your phone intentionally. I always flash my roms before releasing it.
Secondly, this ROM is for individuals who do not like bloats. I have debloated this ROM as far as I can take it without crippling you if you so desire to add back your APKs. The size of my ROM is 800mb+
So what does this mean? This means if you find a bug, report it. If it is due to my own careless mistake, I will look into it. On the other hand, if it is due to because I have remove a specific APK that you need, what I can do is make flashable zips for you. I will not rebloat this ROM in any shape or form just because it does not have something you Know you can live without and can flash it if needs be only if it originally came with GS4. Any none default apks, you are on your own. This goes back to rule 5:

HOW TO INSTALL:
Download ROM and place on SD
Reboot into recovery
Wipe unless change log say otherwise
Install the ROM
Reboot out of recovery, initial will be long. Let it sit wthout touching.
wait five minutes for all to settle as this is a highly tweaked ROM and Kernel
Reboot
Install the 3minit app (not included, but the frameworks of 3minit are. Nothing else needed.)
Set up ViPER4Android FX: For the update, use CortexA8 with Neon. Than go to menu, compatibility, and choose compatible.
Set up ViPER4Android XHiFi: For the update, use CortexAx with Neon. Than go to menu, compatibility and choose compatible.

Additional install info:
Go to the play store and buy the paid version of 3minit to suport the developer. It is only $2 and gets updated first! If you can't do this go to his thread where he gives away free older versions. Make sure to thank gharrington and tell him Infamous sent you.
Last set up the device to your liking! 3minit and Wanam Xpose work great together... you just have to play with the settings.( Thank @nottach and @wanam! ) Now enjoy the fastest and most customizible ROM for the S4.

3-Minit
-3-Minit is finally here!.....for INTERNTIONAL! So if you like wifi-calling, you do not want to flash this!
-For the latest firmwares, 3-minit is not the same as it was back in 4.2.2...but just about everything you usually work there will be there, things are slightly different!
- Important Note It is VERY Crucial for you to install the 3-minit app in order for you to gain access to the Power Menu options. So do not come in this thread going "you do not have access to recovery straight"
Theme!
-Ya body! I am finally done with our theme for the International! It is the same old goodness, except...BETTER! My theme had a makeover!
-Tell me what you think of it and please let me know if you feel I have a theme bug somewhere. What may look normal to me could actually not be the look I was going for and I need to fix it.....I am biased towards my theme, so I will not notice these little details lmao. '

I just want to start of by saying, Happy New Years everyone! 2013 was a great year for me both out of XDA and on XDA. Was the year I embranced my inner nerd and bugged the hell out of @Jamison904 to learn some form of development, and he made it happen. The result? Well this rom, I gave birth to this beautiful thing (Yuck and TMI!). Thank you all for those who stuck to flashing it, I know there are other great roms out there but thank you for staying with this one!

-I have added in the note 3 launcher for reason i will mention later. A bug with it is not being able to uninstall apps but you can simply open kk launcher and uninstall from there. If you do not like the default launcher, this is not really an issue. If you are like me and have all your apps in titanium, it will also not be an issue.

-Not many people will find this much of an update but it fully works. I personally love the app and because it is integraded with the note 3 app, you can simply swipe up to open it

-it is much more organize compare to the regular SecMMs setting wise. Let me know how you like it

Theme Fix
Yes, you must fix theme lol
Keep in mind that this is not in a possition that VIIa is at, it will take time. For now VIIa is the stable version where as VIII will be beta. Additionally, keep in mind we are still feeling out 4.3, I cannot get the 4way / 3way boot to work nor can I see it anywhere for now. Installing Wanam xpose right after flashing is very important. It has just about everything 3minit has (+/- some things) so you can achieve just about everything you could. I just personally prefer 3minit lol​
Minor Theming, will be making it fully compatible later. Cost more burden than necessary but this is a start.

Call recording in menu
3minit removed for now until I can make it completely compatible or if Mr Impossible beat me to it (most likely lol)
Added in Xpose, preferably Wanam Xpose. Gravity works as well if you are only interested in 4way reboot!
Added in Some Note 3 apps but can uninstall if do not want
Some debloating, but not as much as before (Will make a complete debloat later)

Finally got a theme! I present you...Domination: Minion Edition
-Alright so, after shopping around for themes, I finally decided on one! To be more specific, @Vertumus Decided on me! I have been a huge fan of his work since back in the GS3 days, Domination broke my phone virginity theme wise ...shhhhh but head over to his thread and give Vertumus a lot of thanks! Rate his thread while you at it! Very nice guy. Should have imagine my face when he agreed lmao
- What I did was just make it Minion compatible and 3minit compatible right out of the box, I will edit it more as I grow as a themer (lol). As you can see up there, it is AOSP inspire. If you love AOSP theme, well you got it!
N7 Animation
-So I added in N7 Animation since we were all in love with it! I grabbed this from CPA Poke Thx for the port!
Minions Kernel
-So thanks to @Jamison904, we now have Minions Kernel 2.0. Can grab the OC version Here Send him some thanks if you haven't already! Made 64gb compatible.
Bug fixes
-So not many bugs was known in this one but I address the Anonymous (I think what it was) message when was taking part in group conversation. If you still facing this, please let me know!
-I think we finally found a work around with viper for good thanks to @marcoxx626 . When you find him, send him some thanks ^.^
App Removal/Update/Addition
-So I have removed dash clock, as much as I love it, I love lockclock much better. I hope you feel the same way!
- I have updated infamous tools, when you see @Jamison904 anywhere, send him lot of thanks
Added in some Note 3 apps
-So I saw the note three file management app and fell in LOVE with it. So well, I replaced the Gs4 File management app with it. If you face any bug please, please let me know!~
-Also added in Bloomberg+ . I personally enjoy news, so hey lol If you do not like it, can always remove it
Settings Additions/Substraction
-So I enabled Smart block to our setting, you can enable or disable this from the very begining of the set up where you see "Learn about Key Features" it is the very bottom. YOu can find it under setting @ device
-Also enabled factory password section located under security.
-These were special requests from a real life friend
-Removed the Update Software option under device...was bugging me o.o
-I enabled the exit Exit button in web browser, another request
-I believe I also added in callback number under message
And the rest of the things no one cares for
-Just more edits with scripts and what not...for smoother, better batteries, yadi...yada...BTW If you are still experiencing battery drain, please remove the init scripts and tell me if your battery has improved!

Bug fixes!
-The Favorite App should now appear on the lockscreen
-Camera issue has been addressed
-Sensor crashing has been taken cared of

Infamous Kernel 2.0
-This should DEFINENTLY address the bootloop people were facing
-So no more bootloop, thank you for your patience

Infamous Tools
-Added in latest infamous tools!
-This is a work in progress by @Jamison904 and I dabble when he's not looking
-Now comes with Power User where you can find scripts to reboot, boot into recovery, etc
-The app is pretty cool so check it out!
-[Note] The app works best at lower DPI (known bug) so if you want to get the best out of it, will have to set it at 380 and below dpi.
-You can use Appsetting to set it at 380 if you prefer to use 480 for your phone. I can walk you through this if you do not know!
Removed Call recording
-I could not figure out how to do 3way calling when I really needed to do it so for now this is remove until I can troubleshoot and fix it!
Modded SecMMs AGAIN
-This will make it so that text messages received will not show up in your call log (I hated it!)
-So thanks to @jovy23 thank you for the walkthrough!
Tried to make it smoother
-Keyword, tried. So I fixed the scripts in the rom.
-I could be imagining things!
Some other things...I may have forgotten lol, other bugs that you do not care about since you did not find them lol

Rebased on MGA from scratch
-Much cleaner and simpler for me
-Do not have to wait on 3minit update from me, can just grab from Gary's App.
Did some build.prop clean up and edited some init.d scripts
-Hopefully much smoother with better battery ^.^

-Comes with disabled "Low battery", "Can't use flash" and "Unable to start while in call" alerts.

INSTRUCTIONS :
-Set all your 3minit configuration first.
-Then when finish to configure your settings. Choose your screen off effect.
He ask you to restart the phone.
-Then go use titanium backup, save 3minit app.
-Just go to uninstall 3minit WITHOUT to clean data/cache.
-Reboot phone.
-Use titanium backup to restore 3minit app and data.
-Now go in 3minit app, to choose your screen off effect, he ask you to reboot, do it,
then enjoy, it's working!

Re-based to the latest Alpha
-Key highlights include native call recording
-CSC tweaks
Updated 3minit framework to 3.1.1
-All the small bugs that was present in 3.0 are gone.
Build Prop tweaks
-For performance, battery, smoothness
Cleaned up PurePerformance
-Optimized rom more for better performance
-Seems to make ROM smoother, than again I could be imagining things
NFC whilte Screen is off Thanks to OptimalKiller
-I have a hit or miss, let me know if it works for you.
Removed camera sounds
-Easy to reenable if you are interested just go through media/ui/and anything with apk.bak, remove the bak.
Placed our very own Minions Settings under My Device Thanks to @Jamison904 for the guide. Very helpful
-This comes with settings for 3minit settings, sound control, kernel control, and multiwindow
-if you click on sound control, it will take few seconds to pop up because it need Permission. After should be fine
-Keeps things more organize.
Added dashclock
-Its one of my favorites
-you can add more things for it if you go to playstore
Slight theming
-You will see the toggles are themed, and you will see random things across the rom. Beginning for hopefully, a better theme in the future
-Give me feedback as I will updating it whenever I can.
-SystemUI will crash at first innitial boot, you will not see this again. Make sure to let it sit for 5 minutes and than reboots.
Changed up our bootanimation
-Let me know what you think. Thanks to @blacknight1114 for guiding me with the set up.

If T-mobile ever upgrade, minions will be based of on that. The current firmware is just so crappy

I must say been running this rom since yesterday with not one issue. However I did just change to bioshock kernal to give it a try..

Not sure if it is possible Im not a dev or anything but just an idea. It would be cool if the minions would go around your home screen playing with your icons and do different things. I remember on the old iMacs you could download a screen saver were a little dog would go around your desk top eating your icons and playing with things on your computer.
Is there a donate link anywhere?
