HIGH quality professional grade tripod mount - General Accessories

Looking for a high quality mount/adapter for my samsung galaxy S3 that would give it a female 1/4 inch tripod mount.
So far the only I have found is the 4th Design Tripod Grip 5787 Mount.
Are there other options available? Prefer something made by professional brands such as Manfrotto, Benro or Gitzo.
Prefer metal over plastic, so I rather stay away from Joby and Arkon MG600
Thanks.

High Quality Leather Belt Clip & Car Mount

My father picked up a GS3 and I need to get him some holiday gifts for it!
First off I want to get him a high quality leather belt clip / holster that will hold his phone. He doesn't like putting it in his pocket, but I want something high quality and fashionable not tacky. Something by the likes of Tumi would be perfect, but of course they only make one for iPhone
Also he needs a car mount, anyone have any input on the TetraX Fixway vs the Exomount 2? I was kind of leaning towards the Exomount but the TetraX is interesting. Can you mount the phone sideways with the TetraX?
Thanks for your input!

[Review] Cellet Proguard for HTC One M7

Hello all,
I bought a Cellet ProGuard case for my HTC One M7, and thought I would post my thoughts about it.
BACKGROUND:
I was searching for a rugged, waterproof case for the HTC One M7.
Since there are no "daily use" type waterproof cases for the HTC One M7 (yet), I decided to order an "Aqua Box" Marine Mount from Ram Mounts.
Ram Mounts makes true professional grade mounts and cases for almost everything. If you see a cop drive by... that computer in the car is Iikely mounted with ram mounts. I had used their products before for mounting ground penetrating radar systems in a vehicle, and also for mounting GPSes in my own vehicles.
It's not a "Daily use" option, but the Aqua Box will protect my HTC One while using it as a marine navigation tool or during wilderness canoeing.
For a daily use case I came up with 2 options.
1) Otter Box Defender combined with the Spigen Glass.tr screen protector.
This seems to be the best, easily obtained, option for a rugged case IMO. The Otterbox screen protector is a bit of a pain since dirt easily gets between the screen and the protector, but removing that and using the Spigen glass protector should make it a good solution.
Cost: Around $95 full price for both.
2) The Cellet Proguard combined with the same Spigen Glas.TR
This option was a trade off on extreme ruggedness vs rugged with a good price.
Cost: $50 for both
Until I recently got an AMAZING deal on a otter box defender... I decided on option 2.
I bought the Cellet case. Used the case for a while and had no complaints about it.
Review
The Cellet Proguard consists of a rubber internal case with a hard plastic outer.
When installed, the internal rubber case fits tightly around the HTC One and allows access to all the buttons and ports, without covering the IR blaster/power switch.
It has a wraparound raised edge, to protect the screen, similar to other devices.
While the lip is not as tall as the otter box defender, and is only rubber, it looks like it would provide good protection when the phone is face down on a table or other normal use.
The lip fits tightly against the glass, and was able to prevent potato chip salt from getting between the case and the phone, during a real world testing.
The rubber section over the volume buttons, actually improved their ease of use compared to the bare phone.
The hole where the USB connector is, is a bit small for ease of plugging the cable in.
(I used an exacto knife to gently trim a tiny amount off the hole so that my both my usb cables would fit)
The external plastic case portion is of a slightly softer plastic than the otterbox defender.
While the plastic section doesn't completely cover the rubber internal section, it's mesh design allows the rubber to improve grip on the phone.
The external dimensions are close to the otterbox defender, while slightly thinner in thickness.
All said and done, the case is well made, fits the phone well, and should provide decent protection.
When you combine that with a market price of $12 to $15, the cellet case is a fantastic bargain in my opinion.
I bought mine at Bestbuy in Canada, but evidently it's available on amazon, and at Frys and other places in the USA
I can't post links yet.. so just do a web search for "Cellet-321255-Armor-Proguard-Case" or "Cellet HTC One Case" and you will see what it looks like.
Hope this helps someone.
Hi,
im am also looking for a solution for my HTC One to mount on my VFR800.
Since the battery runs out quite quicly while using GPS, it also needs cable management.
Haven't been able to find anything to this moment.

Mini Suit Kick Stand Case

I got sick of waiting for Seidio to release their kickstand cases, I use my phone a lot to watch stuff (shows/movies while at work). So I picked one up off ebay.
This was the listing:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Minisuit-Rub...ll_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item2c761729bf&_uhb=1
I have a feeling there cheaper priced ones out there, but I can't complain, shipping was SUPER fast since it came from the States instead of China.
Overall the case is nice and compact, not overly bulky, has a rigid design on the back so it won't slip out of your hand.
All the cut outs are clean and clear. The audio jack is large enough to accommodate my Audiotechnica m50 headphone 1/8" jack if I push a bit harder than normal. Kickstand works fine, however it does make a bit of a rattling noise when it's retracted.

There are so many brands selling this exact model case as their own right now it's kind of ridiculous. Glad you got yours for cheap at least and it does seem quite rugged.
I don't like these cases much because the rubber part is pretty stiff making the buttons hard to press down. I prefer the silicone/plastic hybrid kickstand combo.

[Review] Pitaka Aramid MagCase & MagMount

I’m the type of person that will seek out the highest quality accessories, no matter the price. In recent year I’ve gravitated towards thinner cases that retain the original feel of the phone.
I’ve tried cases from all of the brands available, from PDAir many years ago, to the UAG range back when I had a Galaxy S3 and then the Spigen range around the time I got a Nexus 6P.
Pitaka is totally new to me. I spotted them when people on Reddit and XDA were discussing case for the iPhone X and Pixel 2. Immediately I was drawn to the look of the case as well as promises of premium materials.
Something that caught my attention was the inclusion of magnets within the case itself. This is the first company I’ve seen do this and it potentially introduces a hassle-free solution where you don’t need to faff about with loose magnets and checking case compatibility. You buy the case, you buy the mount and that’s it.

The case comes in an attractive box, made of thick cardboard. It makes for a rather pleasant unboxing experience.
The case has magnets (used for the car mount) hidden inside it. This is a huge plus for me as I have avoided using magnetic car mounts due to having to use metal plates which could scratch the phone, but there’s no danger of that here. The fact that they’ve managed to build such a thin case and hide those magnets within is amazing.
The case feels incredible due to a soft-touch coating on the back. This also gives the case a decent amount of grip.
The case works really well with the Whitestone Dome glass screen protector and would probably work well with other edge to edge protectors.
The case is incredibly thin. My previous case is the MNML thin case and the Pitaka case feels about the same in terms of thickness.
Active Edge still works with the case. I didn’t need to adjust the sensitivity at all.
There’s no branding visible on the case. I really appreciate this as it gives the case a clean and professional look. People could easily assume that it’s an official product by the phone manufacturer.
The case looks good enough that I’ve had people comment on the look of the case rather than the look of the phone!
CONS
Due to the materials used to produce the case it picks up quite a lot of fingerprints and they don’t rub off easily. Even with a microfibre cloth I had to rub it quite hard to get the fingerprints off. However, when using an alcoholic wipe they came off with ease.
For those that want something minimalistic and stylish I’d say that this is the best case for the Pixel 2 XL!

PROS
The part of the mount that connects to the vent is a firm rubber, so it’ll hold the vent fin securely and won’t damage anything.
I personally love the look of the mount. It has a stylish carbon fibre texture which looks and feels great. It’s quite minimalistic in a way too, which is a nice change compared to some of the bulky mounting solutions I’ve used in the past.
Overall, the build quality is excellent. It just feels solid and high quality overall.
The mount is sturdy when tightened, there’s no unwanted movement or drooping.
The magnets in the mount are amazing. When I first unboxed the product I attached my phone and shook the mount as much as I could, it didn’t drop off.
The case can find the mount magnets quite easily, I don’t have to keep moving it around to get it to attach.
CONS
I honestly didn’t come across any!
I love the two products individually but what I find incredibly unique is how well the products work together. It’s the true definition of seamless, so much so that I feel that I wouldn’t be able to go back to another case due to how used to this setup I’ve become.

I have had one since they were first released back in October/November. Love it with my mount. There's a rather large thread already here in the accessories forum. https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/accessories/pitakas-thinnest-protective-kevlar-t3702842
I took a few pics for someone on reddit a week or two ago. https://imgur.com/a/rvDXV

ultra tripod and size.

looking for a small mini tripod for my s20 ultra . that will fit with otter box defender pro on it.
the part that holds the phone i prefer a quick release style apposed to the screw down clamp style
and don't really want the flexible bendable legs.
looking for a small tripod that will fit our devices.
also Bluetooth remote would be nice.
and non extendable legs
recommendations ?
