Thank you sooooooooooooo much! Already flashed and running perfectly.:thumbup::thumbup:
I have one request: Is there an easy way to turn the mouse pointer back to stock? The circle is nice if you are sitting really close. But for me at least, if I am a decent distance away, I have to guess where it is. Thanks!

I'm looking for a p.a.c style ROM for n10. I'm reading that the per app DPI/layout is handled through Xposed but how does it measure up to paranoid androids control? also does this ROM address the surface flinger memory leak?(the main reason I'm considering this ROM)

Paranoid Android's hybrid engine is second to none. This is more steps to get there, but it works. I'm not sure what the memory leak issue is, but I haven't had any issues at all

Nexus 10 memory leak
at this moment of posting, surfaceflinger is using 200+mb and I have done no gaming and its been actively used for 2.5 hours.
this is a far cry from the 30 it starts off with and the 70 that the nexus 4 with the same system uses after days of uptime

From what I recall, it was on older releases of AOKP 4.2.2, but it was fixed in the last MR release a couple weeks ago.

There's a download up for anyone who wants to test it out and see if they can find any other bugs or just try it out. Just know that there isn't any sound. All else I found was that the torch toggle isn't working right now.

I used the 4.2.1 paranoid android ROM that popped up a few days ago, but it seems to have disappeared. This seems like it will be even better and I can't wait to flash it.
Also, this guy does need to be a recognized developer. I think he is in everything but name at this point.

Well, it's a completely different ROM, but it does have many of the features and more. If/when PACman gets updated to 4.2.1 I'll see if it's worth having both.

OK, I'm done lurking. Sick of TW ROMs and clearly development over there is all but extinct. Sniper, I've been following all your threads and all I can say is damn dude- you ever gonna come up for some air?? Thanks for all these great looking ROMs. Now I gotta figure out which one to try first!
A quick theme chooser question... Is there an eclipse package out there somewhere or is it easiest just to take an existing theme apk, decompile it, gut it, and add your stuff.

Just flashed. Very impressive ROM, so far!. I like the boot up animation and the wallpaper selection.
For anyone flashing, make sure you go into settings and change your network to LTE/CDMA. Default is incorrect.
Thanks for the great work!

After you change the setting for LTE you should reboot then it should be fine. This used to happen in older cm builds.

If you can change DPI per app, wouldn't we need a gapps similar to pa-gapps? I was under the impression that pa-gapps were different from the normal gapps because it includes the different versions of the apps (like phone, phablet, and tablet UIs of say, gmail)

I've not been able to change any app's DPI or ui. I installed the framework, then changed the settings, when rebooted after changing the settings, and no dice.
I love this ROM already though. And it's potential makes me love it even more

Did you enable the settings module?
Of you open xposed installer and click modules is the xposed app settings module ticked? I'd not tick it and reboot

Erm good question - When I build tonight I will let you know the answer! If not I'll check for updates to xposed before building as I think they are just prebuilt APK's added into the zip with an intent in the settings menu

You sir are a good man, thank you!
Hi Guys ermm bad new I'm afraid.
Just tried to build but as Rootbox uses external sources for some apps e.g. DeskClock from CM which is already upgraded to 4.2.2 (new SDK version) I can't build things yet. Sorry guys will have to wait until 4.2.2 is merged.
I'll of course update you as soon as it is!

Per-App Settings
This guide will help you setup your phone with new Per-App Settings.
First, all credits associate to Xposed Frameworks and Modules goes to Rovo89 for sharing his work and making it open source for everyone. You guys should all buy him a beer.
Steps to follow:
Install Xposed Frameworks by going in Modules Management>Install/Update
Enable Per-App Settings by going in Modules Management> Modules>Tick Per-App Settings (You should reboot your phone at this point)
Setup your phone : Per-App Settings>Choose your app>Set DPI/Resolution/Tablet UI/Language> Press Save on top
Your app should now display in your preferred settings. If it doesnt, kill the app and restart it or reboot phone.
Contribute to RootBox
Those interested in making wallpapers and bootanimation for RootBox, send an email to [email protected] with the following:
Information
Name
Email
Wallpapers
Attach wallpaper in email
Two sizes are required: HDPI and XHDPI
I'll review them and add the wallpapers in the next release. I will also choose the best one as the default wallpaper for official releases.
Bootanimation
Attach bootanimation or paste download link in the email.
Two sizes are required: HDPI and XHDPI
Wallpaper Resolution
HDPI: 960 x 800
XHDPI: 1440 x 1280
You can also contribute by creating icons for settings. Use proper sizes and always include compatibility for HDPI and XHDPI.
The reason behind this is very simple. I'm always busy and I've neglected the visual aspect of RootBox for a while now. It's time to polish it with new visuals!

I looked at this but what bothered me was the file date on that file it is from 2011? Weird... Although i did see a commit on their Gerrit in Open by him that talks about how Toro has diff Binaries for Broadcom then Maguro (another tuna board). http://gerrit.sudoservers.com/#/c/6989/
I will look over his commit and see if its any different then the zip posted, it will be in the next build, also Bajee put some interesting commits on Git regarding toggles and PIE going to try a fresh sync and build tonight...I'll keep everyone posted.
Edit: Talked with Mike about the date, he said ingnore. Plus i did what he did and got the same date as well after manual script run and extraction..."Interesting I just followed your directions, did the same thing for Toro and Maguro and both show a modified date of Sept. 2011... Strange!"
From Mike on RootzWiki
I never paid any attention to the dates. I pulled the binaries from here:
https://developers.g...us/drivers#toro
I grabbed the last Broadcom driver listed for Toro (4.2/4.2.1) and ran the extract script which will give you, among many nested directories, the file I listed in the BT-test. Once I confirmed the zip worked, I re-sync'd me repo and just copied that same file into the toro proprietary location and refactored the various make files for the 3 tuna devices to look in their device specific repo for that file rather than the generic tuna location.
You should be able to run a md5sum on them and they should be the same.

The Mysterious ROM is a ROM based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It exists on Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 and Samsung I9100 and Samsung I9300 and Maguro and Tilapia and Hercules and Toro and i9100g and Manta.
Features :
Added Linaro
So fast !
Added Bionic optimizations :
morfic said:
bionic is the "libc" of android, there are hardware optimized memcpy/memset and a few others for cortex-a9 and/or armv7-a, but also others specifically for krait, using those instead of stock bionic versions perform the same job a lot better than the more generic versions in aosp.
That affects memory throughput significantly and anything where you move data and need memory throughput using those functions will benefit from it.
there are other (math) functions that can be optimized more for the particular hardware

Bionic and Linaro are usually not incorporated into Official AOKP builds unless its a PUB build of some sort....idk what the kid above me is talking about when he says come on you can do better....this ROM is pretty good...only things not working for me is switching the signal over to dB and also the WiFi signal doesn't show up at all...other than that its very smooth
like the idea behind this, will we see regular updates?

My WiFi signal appears and works.
The dBm signal doesn't icon change but I don't use that just confirming.
Otherwise very smooth, GPS is excellent, loud audio.
I will use as dd.
Thanks!

Additional Info:
I am a noob when it comes to building ROMs, I am in the process of learning to build from source but wanted to try out ReVolt and so far I like it. I ported this ROM from Maguro to try it out for myself. I have not found any major bugs in the few hours I have tested it out and thought I would share with permission from johnhany97. If you notice something not working please let me know and I will remove the download link until I can get it built from source.
Also, I will try to update this on the weekends as I work Monday - Thursday with little time to play during the week.

Actually it is the stable version and I believe gapps are included, should have mentioned it in the first post. Gapps are not included in the nightlies which I don't have them ported yet.

A little confused. Earlier today Goo app was notifying me for and update of this ROM but couldn't get anywhere cause it said servers were down. Now I just tried checking for update in goo and it says no updates found. Can someone clear the air on this?
