How to root ZTE V985 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Hi, it seems that ZTE has brought a new android version to the V985 called 222200B1329ZTE V985V1.0.0B04.
I have a V985 with android 4.0.4 version B03 installed, rooted and equipped with Gapps. I can only upgrade into stock which removes my root and Gapps.
Can anyone tell me how to root the V985V1.0.0B04 android 4.1.2 version?

Sorry can't give you link, I need to do a few more posts before I'm allowed to do that but the title should get you there.
This method uses Vroot and worked on my V985 with Android 4.1.2.

for those who want to root this and they have an older version of android they can do it easy using ZhaoDashi software or Scrypt by Bin4ry.
Howerer for my 4.1.1 Jellybean the only way to root I found by far is changing the firmware version. On the official website there is no firmware available so I ask you guys is there any other ways to get a new firmware ?? Is it possible to use a different firmware from other tablets?

Mine got updated to 4.2.2 over wifi today. I did not know it was for 4.2.2. I thought it was for a regular update. Anyway, mine is now running 8.2.2 and lost the multiple windows function.:crying:

I think you can get rooted device using Phil's recovery. Works perfect on 4.4.2, I shure it will be no problem with 4.4.4.

try to use chainfire's CF Root one for 4.4.2 on 4.4.4, it should work just fine since there's not much differences between 4.4.2 and 4.4.4
we will have problem rooting if we get 5.0 as there's none at the moment....

Couldn't you just flash a custom recovery through Odin and then flash Super SU in recovery?
I need confirmed step by step solution for 4.4.4. Don't want to brick my n5100.

Hello guys, i was gone for a while because i was studying and now i'd like to update my phone.
I opened samsung Kies and i saw there is an update available.
Current Version: PDA:NK1/PHONE:NK1/CSC:NK1 (EUR)
Latest Version: PDA:NK4/PHONE:NK4/CSC:NL1 (EUR)
Which android version is the latest from above? Is it Lolipop? If not, how can i install the official Lolipop firmware? Also, my phone is rooted and after the update id like to do it again. I have the LTE model (i9195).
My device has android 4.4.2 installed.

I dont think official lollipop is /will be available for any of the galaxy s4 mini models. I would advise you to go to sammobile.com and look for the latest firmware for your device(Region specific) and download it. It will be the latest one and it will also serve as a backup official firmware. There after you can root your device(or do any other experiments for that matter), if something goes wrong there is a backup to fall back on.
