So my question to you is, which community did you come from? Epic Touch 4G? OG Evo? Evo LTE? Tell me below!
As for me, I started as a lurker when I got my Evo Shift. (My first post is when I actually softed bricked my shift while rooting because I had no clue what I was doing! Ha!) Over time I got a little involved there. Then I got an OG Evo 4G, and helped and learned a lot there. Now I am here with you guys (and girls?) on the Sprint Galaxy S3!

OG Evo for me. As you can tell from my join date and post count, I've been a long time lurker
I came from the cdma hero. It certainly had its ups and downs. The devs did a great job keeping it alive.
Think i've been a little of everywhere.. OG Epic (Rocking TPR of course!), Epic Touch, and Here.
Og epic. Lots of people from the epic over here. Miss that phone. My I give it to my nephew when I got the GS3 and he's still rocking it.

I hear ya.. Mom and Sister had one till 2 days ago.. One went to Evo, other to Evo Shift. Had both rooted running TPR:good:

OG Epic was rocking TPR and CM7 it is now music player for my car rocking TPR.
History timeline of my phones:
Nextel i95 ---> Nextel i860 ---> Nextel i870 ---> Blackberry Bold 9650 ---> EVO 3D ---> GS3
Damn I miss them good old Nextels with the PTT.... so much easier to ignore people if you were not in the talking mood hahaa.
Og epic then epic touch,now my sg3, and the note II for my wife.
Running a Rom by someone smarter than eye.

Just came from an hd2 I've got 30 days to decide if I wanna keep this EVO has anybody else came from an hd2 to an EVO and if so do you have any regrets
your not going to have any regrets whats so ever. OG evo is hands down one of the best phones that I have had in my position. It has been around long enough that there are plenty of roms to play with as well as a great community of people to bounce questions off of.
Have you rooted your evo yet?? that is when the fun really begins.
Evo 4g is probably one of the best phones out there, but i would recommend getting the Evo 3d , I own both and you will see more progress in the next 2 years with the 3d instead of the Evo 4G (lets face it is a year old and love the phone but for a newcomer the 3D will be a bttee choice)
Btw I own the Evo 4g since say one and the Evo 3D as well

The only reason you might regret it, is if you were booting to WinMo, or WP7. You won't have that ability anymore, but I would say you will be just as happy with the level of development going on with the Evo.
I didn't come from an hd2 but I can tell you the EVO 4G is hands down THE best smartphone. After I got it my computer laid dormant for 6 months. And now that I've recently rooted the sky is the limit. Props to XDA and all the people that post, help, and reply. I've learned a ton in just a short time. Have fun with your EVO. I know I am.

first off i have an evo shift 4g, running cm7.
i had a nexus s 4g for a week before i decided i didnt like it and went back to the evo shift.my main issue was non removable storage.
now my interest is in the sgs2.
ive never used the touch wiz ui. but i do prefer vanilla android.
id be buying the phone out of contract for 350 new.
whats the consensus should i buy it?
Not gonna find better on Sprint at this time...period.
Just moved on from the 3d and I couldn't be happier. Don't hesitate at all

Paid retail price coming from the 3d. Worth every penny of $499.99. Yeah I sold the 3d for 275, but still its worth every penny

If your on sprint it would be the evo 3d. Its their newish flagship device. Took the place of this phone(p.s. this phone is close to a year and a half old.)

Couldn't tell you. I haven't kept up with HTC since getting my Nexus.
The EVO 4G was a great device. Since then I've had a Shift too and it was great as well.

ok great guys i have got DHD but i have changed gps.conf several times but doesnt work as well as it should to do. Some radio does that my gps dont take lot of satellite and other radios do that my batery drains completly... xD this is the reason cause im speakin about the best htc device, for test it.
I just paid my $120 ETF on Sprint and took advantage of the $0.01 deal on the HTC Rezound from Amazon. Looks like I'm finally off Sprint after 8 years or so.

even though I have the Evo 4g and use Sprint I recently spotted that new Rezound at Best Buy....looking at that I'd have to say, as far as NEWEST HTC DEVICE, the Rezound takes the cake.

I just came off the EVO, and went to the Rezound. I used to say there wasn't a device that would make me not miss my EVO. I lied. The Rezound is that device. It's ridiculous.
U guys must not have read any reviews of the resound but asking what the is the best phone is an objective question. There is no rite or wrong answer. Its personal preference. Something you have to figure out for yourself...

I made the jump today and ordered the Epic 4G Touch. I plan on immediately rooting and getting started with the fun! Anyone else come from a Hero and what are your thoughts? I loved AOSP on the Hero so hopefully there will be some good roms like his over here

I came from the Hero. This phone works so well I haven't even bothered rooting it yet, but that will all change once ICS is out.
