THIS ROM IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE ASUS PAD TF300T & TF300TG, PRIME TF201 AND THE ME301T PAD SMART 10
YOU MUST BE ON JB 4.2.1 WITH THE ASUS STOCK BOOTLOADER 10.6.1.8 AND TWRP patched 2.4.4.0 or BOOTLOADER 10.6.1.15.3 and patched TWRP 2.5.0.0 BEFORE FLASHING THIS. THE BEST WAY TO DO THIS IS TO FLASH THE STOCK ASUS 10.6.1.8 or 10.6.1.15.3 FIRMWARE.

I recommend you do a full wipe if coming from another ROM. Choose Wipe – Factory in TWRP. Do not do a full wipe from the bootloader.
You can restore data from Titanium Backups but please do not restore system data or apps from a previous version or another ROM if you want a nice clean smooth upgrade experience.
Don't forget to do a Nandroid Backup first and give the ROM 10 mins to stabilise!

Asus never keep up to date with Google. We had 4.1.1 when 4.1.2 was the latest ..... 4.0.3 when 4.0.4 was the latest..... Get the pattern?

Yeah, makes sense. At least we have 4.2. I've got a Note 2, supposedly one of the newest/best phones out, and it's still on 4.1.

I just finished installing rc1..and now I see the 4.0 If I don't care about the live wallpaper is rc1good as 4.0? If yes . I don't have to go through the trouble of wiping again:cyclops:

LOOOL -- ver. 3 is JB 4.1; ver. 4 is JB 4.2. Pretty big difference if you ask me.
BTW, this ROM is perfection!!! It's amazing how big of a difference the I/O improvements make.

Here is a softkey mod. Works the same way as lockring mod so just unzip with 7-zip replace the icons, making sure the names are the same & zip back up and flash in recovery. It will not do highlights without modification to systemui so new CTM and other flashable mods coming soon.

go to settings/apps/ and delete data and cache of apps. let me know if works

TF300T Users , please use DPI 160 for tablet mode. I recommend you flash the TF300T stock kernel first as it flashes some TF300T specific libraries. Then flash a kernel of your choice. You can do this within TWRP if you chain them up together.

The microSD memory card appears as a device, but says that in an unsupported format. FAT32. During the installation has been selected "disable fsync".
Rollback to backup (BlueAndroid).

Did you flash the stock TF300T kernel first? If not can you do so as it patches some specific TF300T libraries.
If not then does the front camera work on CleanROM 2.5 by Scott? If so then I can patch in his files

You are not coming from Stock? My ROM supports Fat32 ( I use it myself) but you will need to do a full wipe if not coming from Stock or a previous version of CleanROM.

Strangely, I have done prior to installation from TWRP - Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache and Factory Reset.
And Wipe Cache, Dalvik Cache after installation.
I'll try again later - should charge the tablet.

Well, according to this thread CleanROM 2.4 for the TF700 works on the TF300TG. You only need to flash the proper kernel from the thread I mentioned earlier. Apparently the 3G libraries are present in CleanROM 2.4 for the TF700, hence my question about your ROM

Absolutely understand now. Scott must have put the correct libraries in his. I'll have to figure out what they are. My rom is based off the TF700T libraries so it would need updating to work on the G model.

clerarom 2.5 of the tf300 works well when it does not work with kernel 1800. I've now installed untermensch kernel and working properly but kernel only1600. Would it be possible to use the kernel that you developed that works. Thank you

I have included a version of the TF300T stock kernel in the Aroma Flasher
Currently testing the Google Apps and Library files from Jelly Bean 4.2.
So far so good.
Would everyone be OK if I incorporate them straight into the rom? - it's mainly the google apps plus there is an updated version of the browser as well.
If I have to do options - the rom download size will become huge!

TF300T Users, please use DPI 160. I recommend you flash the TF300T stock kernel first as it flashes some TF300T specific libraries, then flash a kernel of your choice from the Kernel Installer at the bottom of this post.
You can install this straight over CleanROM 2.3 to 3.x or Asus Jelly Bean Stock without a full wipe. The latest JB Bootloader is necessary before flashing this and is available in Post 2.
You should choose to do a dalvik cache and cache wipe from the installer if you want the smoothest upgrade experience. If coming from a non stock rom you will need a full wipe!

Updated Kernel Installer to re-include the 1.43 version of Hundsbuah’s Kernels as they add some stability as it maxes out at 1.8GHz
For TF300TG users I have now included a new kernel based on stock by andrew_z1
Kernel Installer now includes options to change DPI as well as toggle fsync on/off, seeder patch on/off and Hundsbuah's tweaks on/off
CROMI 3.4.4 System Patch – 3 March 2013
This patch consolidates the 3.4.2 & 3.4.3 patches and updates a few system files as well.
This patches the ODEX or DEODEX version automatically with the Framework-res and Browser files from CROMI 3.3. I feel these offered a better user experience and hopefully fix some of the lagginess and Activity Not Responding messages that 3.4.1 introduced. Please flash over the top of CROMI 3.4.1, 3.4.2 or 3.4.3

[B] PLEASE WIPE DALVIK CACHE AND CACHE FROM RECOVERY OPTIONS AFTER FLASHING. A FULL WIPE IS NOT REQUIRED.
The first boot will take longer than usual[/B]
This fixes the initial Odex release where stock launcher, gmail and browser2ram selections didn’t work properly. Please reflash this version.
o CROMI 3.2.1 ODEX version released.
o The only other changes from the DEODEX version is that the installer now groups MyCloud and Splashtop together as they have a dependency , scrollcache is disabled and integrated into the rom as is the Jelly Bean 4.2 swipe keyboard.
o ODEX version feels smoother and should be more stable so it is my recommended flash for the latest CROMI :)
o Currently timberwolf’s theme requires a DEODEX base and other mods not included in my installer may only work on the DEODEX version until they are tested and updated on the ODEX version – please let me know. ;)

There is no harm in TF700 users flashing the 2 TF300 Clemsyn kernels if you want to try some different performance modes. Not much to gain over the other Clemsyn kernels though.

[COLOR=blue]FIXED – Bootloop issues introduced in 3.0 and 3.0.1 which were caused when wiping data from recovery.[/COLOR] The framework file had become corrupted, so for now I have reset it back to the stock ASUS one. This means you have no APM menu so I have included quick boot for the time being.
The scroll cache and mouse pointer fixes were part of this as well so I will redo those later.
Added the latest version of the Google Play Store for multiple DPI
Fixed the Google Now issues by reverting to Asus version. The one from google play doesn’t like being a system app. You will get an update from Google.

I have finally gotten CleanRom 3.0.3 TF300T running with DATA2SD and UHS-1 Cards, with amazing results. I am using a 32gb UHS-1 SanDisk MicroSD
What you need:
CleanRom 3.0.3 Inheritance
data2sd for cleanrom 3.0.3 (cromi-3.0.3-data2sd.zip)
recovery mod (mount-data2sd.zip)
Untermensch's TF300T Kernel - Has support for DATA2SD and UHS-1 (TF300T.zip)
Clockwork Mod Recovery (I used CWM) OR TWRP
GParted (and a way to boot it) I used TUXBOOT (Boot by USB)
The installation is very simple if you have these components.
I was plugged into to AC, with no dock plugged in.
Formatting your MicroSD:
Open GParted. With no knowledge of Linux this is all still self explanatory.
In GParted- I formatted the first partition to 3gb Fat32
The second partition should be formatted to Ext4 filesystem. Flag it as BOOT. LABEL the partition as data2sd. Make it the remaining size of the MicroSD.
Your MicroSD is ready. Have all backups and flashable zips on the fat32 partition of the microsd.
Boot up your TF300T to recovery.
Here I did a complete wipe of the Tablet.
Install CleanRom 3.0.3
For the option I chose NO KERNEL. Nova Launcher, Play Store as only apps. I did not disable fsync.
After installation is complete, wipe the cache.
Flash data2sd for CleanRom
Wipe Cache
Flash TF300T.zip (unters kernel)
Wipe Cache
Flash Recovery Mod
Do a full factory reset
Boot into the rom. You should be good to go.
This should apply to any rom or recovery for the TF300T, but I'm good to go on this set up.
I will do benchmarks later as well. I should have taken them before doing Data2SD as well!
I wrote this because I spent hours trying to get multiple configurations to work, and none of the kernels in the first post were working. After using unter's kernel and labeling the ext4 partition as data2sd everything is perfect.

Thanks, I suspect because this one was started from scratch I could ensure that it stayed to stock as best as possible for better compatibility Glad it resolved your issues.

I recommend you do a full wipe if coming from another ROM. Choose Wipe – Factory in TWRP. Do not do a full wipe from the bootloader.
You can restore data from Titanium Backups but please do not restore system data or apps from a previous version or another ROM if you want a nice clean smooth upgrade experience.
Don't forget to do a Nandroid Backup first and give the ROM 10 mins to stabilise!

INSTALLING CROMi-X
If you followed the appropriate steps for your scenario above, you now have a compatible bootloader installed and a custom recovery such as TWRP.
Steps
1. Download the appropriate ROM package below and save to your internal or external SD Card. Do not unzip the file. Join the debate about which manner of packaging files is better (ODEX or DEODEX) or just use DEODEX since it allows for a bit more customization possibilities. ODEX may boot slightly faster but then again, it may only boot slightly faster the first time. Google ODEX vs DEODEX if you really want to understand.

ROM2SD Thread
2. Boot to recovery – Either choose Boot to Recovery from the Power Menu - Restart in CROMi-X or from a tablet power off hold the volume down button and press the power button. Once your see the flashing RCK icon, press volume up to select. If another icon is flashing use volume down to move between icons.
3. Using your recovery make a Nandroid Back up of your current setup
4. Select install and navigate to where you saved your ROM zip file.
5. Choose the CROMi-Xenogensis zip file and follow the on screen prompts to customize your installation.
6. Reboot and enjoy.

During the install some features are listed as EXPERIMENTAL. I have left them as an option so you can play and enjoy debugging Please let me know if you used the experimental features like Extreme Tweaks, Cache2SD, Overvolting, Undervolting. if you want a stable smooth experience flash _that's kernel, with fsync disabled and one of the normal WW or US editions.
If you are a speed freak and don't mind the odd bug go for hunds with experimental tweaks, software rendering disabled and GPU OC, CPU OV and GPU UV.
Cache2SD is very experimental and may cause other issues so I'll leave that one up to you

Various Kernel Benchmarks
Right benchmarks with various kernel options:
All were taken on CROMi-X 5.1 Odex with default options at 240dpi unless otherwise stated (fsync off / on). I've used quadrant as most people understand the results - I know it's not the best and I did 3 tests each time and took the 3rd result.
Stock - fsync on - 5672
_that v4 - fsync off - 5981
_that v4 - fsync on + data2sd - 5745
_thatv5 - fsync on - 6267
_that v5 - fsync off - 6414
_that v5 - fsync on + data2sd - 6143
Hunds + ET - fsync on - 6684
Hunds + ET - fsync off - 7245

So data2sd doesn't really offer that much if you keep fsync on. It does feel faster when loading large games and files. The issue is it is a bit more unstable and easier to corrupt the data partition if you have fsync off. Same risk with normal data I suppose but less likely to corrupt due to less sponteneous reboots.
Is data2sd worth it? Only if you want to use your tablet whilst downloading large files or play store updates or you are prone to corruption with fsync off. Otherwise you can achieve at least the same speed with fsync off although with a risk to corrupt your data partition eventually.

Using GParted to setup a micro SD for ROM2SD support
First and foremost - DO NOT USE MINI TOOL!
Formatting a micro sd card for ROM2SD
We will be using a GParted Live boot USB and a FAST good quality micro sd like a Sandisk or Samsung Class 10 - SDHC/SDXC UHS-1 card with read speed of at least 20MB/S. If you have a cheap chinese eBay card don't bother - they are not good enough.
You will also need a USB Stick with at least 1GB size. Note this process formats the USB disk so don't keep any important files on it. It will also wipe your micro sd so make sure you are prepared.
1. Go to the link below and download the GParted Live CD/USB/HD/PXE Bootable Image and save it somewhere you remember

2. Download Linux Live USB Creator and install it

3. Fire up LiLi USB Creator:
a. Choose your USB key - I,e, the drive letter for your USB (not sd card)
b. Choose your GParted iso image for the source
c. Choose the check box to Format Key in FAT32 and hide files
d. Click the lightning bolt to create
4. Now you have a bootable disk you need to boot from it. You may need to alter you BIOS Settings on your PC to boot from a USB Stick but mine did it without messing.
5. Insert your micro SD card into an SD Card adapter and insert into PC
6. Boot into GParted
7. Choose Gparted Live <Enter>
8. Don’t touch keymap <Enter>
9. Languge <Enter>
10. Start Gparted Automatically
11. Change device to your micro sd )it will default to you hard disk - hda– mine is /dev/sdc
12. Delete all existing partitions
For a 64GB card: (resize as needed but /system doesn't need to be bigger than 1GB)
13. Create new, always select primary: do this 3 times.
14. FAT 32 : Size 16GB – this will be /dev/sdc1 in gparted and will be your sdcard for storage in Android
15. EXT4 : Size 42GB – this will be /dev/sdc2 in gparted and will be your /data partition in Android
16. EXT4 : Size 1GB – this will be /dev/sdc3 in gparted and will be your /system partition in Android
Apply, wait until it finishes and then reboot. Remember to remove the usb stick
*Images stolen from elsewhere as I couldn’t get it to save mine
Now you are ready to install ROM2SD. Note if you want to use DATA2SD then only do 2 partitions 1x FAT32 and 1x larger EXT4
Then reinstall CROMi-X but this time choose the ROM2SD option (currently option 3 on the kernel page)

BTW try hitting where the back button is as I have heard this might push it along......
The normal 2.5.0.0 I've had it before but not 4 times but it's working fine without zip align but it's probably coincidence and if no one else gets the issue then we're all good but I thought I would let you so you can just keep an eye on it to see if anyone else gets it

Okay, guys, if you are having any type of force close issue do the following to help us out.
1. FULLY WIPE YOUR DATA this means a factory reset. Get rid of all old app information. I full format is recommended but not always needed. Just a simple factory reset from recovery will suffice.
2. If after a full wipe of your data, and force closes are still happening. Simply install android terminal from the market. Then open it and enter the following:
HINT: \n is used to show a new line, meaning, whenever you see "\n" in the code snippet below, i want you to press the "return/enter" key
HINT: "<name of app>" in the following snippet is a placeholder for you to type the name of the app that is force closing for you always surround it in quotes(") please

Twice now it still is giving (tablet becomes unusable) issues. Once I boot, post install. I can't install or logcat anything it's so bad.
First time was selecting what I would liked to of ran. The next run was a stock install as I could get to it. Withstanding the Nova addition.
The new look for the installer and boot is nice. Actually this is the first issue I have had installing cromi. Rolled back to 4.7 for now.

Try using a different launcher? Over in the tf700 thread they said if they used a different launcher then installed Nova via play store it worked.

It was more of a heads up for you devs, and other users. That there might be an issue with that particular app. Hence why I did the second stock (default settings,) install to make sure it was that specifically.
Thanks for the input. It makes it a little faster getting cromi5 installed. Now I don't have to whittle it down, to what does work with my tab.
If I have further issues past your advice. I'll try for a logcat for your use.
If you want, I can try and capture that Nova FC (post Aroma.) Though you might have to give me pointers how to do so. It happens right after I set up google, so I don't have any access to many tool within Android. Beyond that pesky FC dialog. So hitting the store and using a term would not be very useful. I do have fastboot/abd on my Windows lappy. (My Linux box is down right now.)

Normally, I just use a backup I have of it. Since this was a fresh cromi goodness. I wanted to test drive what the new version looked/acted like. The newer version doens't have much of what I need on paper so to speak. lol The included version in Aroma more so.. haha
So I just keep the one version and don't update it. I'm checking out a few of the new features/apps/kernels, before I settle in.
I know I like the new bootscreen. So that stays.

The new look for the installer and boot is nice. Actually this is the first issue I have had installing cromi. Rolled back to 4.7 for now.

UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
Steps
1. If you haven’t yet, unlock your TF300 following these instructions. CLICK ME
2. Install the omni version of Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) Philz ClockWorkMod Recovery. Note this ROM will NOT install with older versions of recovery! CLICK ME
Download the recovery file from above, put it into the same folder where you have adb and fastboot files. Please rename it to twrp.blob or cwm.img and follow the instructions below:

Connect your transformer to your PC, reboot to the bootloader to enable fastboot by either holding down [power] and [volume down] or opening a command prompt in your adb.exe folder in windows:

ROM2SD only works if you have CROMi-X, miniC flashed on internal. Just choose ROM2SD in the installer of CROMBi-kk to flash it to ROM2SD and the installer will do the rest.

2. Boot to recovery – Either choose Boot to Recovery from the Power Menu if available on your current ROM or from the tablet power off hold the [volume down] button and press the [power] button. Once your see the flashing RCK icon, press [volume up] to select. If another icon is flashing use [volume down] to move between icons.
3. Using your recovery make a Nandroid Backup of your current setup
4. Select install and navigate to where you saved your ROM zip file.
5. Choose the CROMBi-kk zip file and follow the on screen prompts to customize your installation.
6. Choose the wifi patch and flash..
7. Reboot and enjoy.

Using GParted to setup a micro SD for ROM2SD support
First and foremost - DO NOT USE MINI TOOL!
Formatting a micro sd card for ROM2SD
We will be using a GParted Live boot USB and a FAST good quality micro sd like a Sandisk or Samsung Class 10 - SDHC/SDXC UHS-1 card with read speed of at least 20MB/S. If you have a cheap chinese eBay card don't bother - they are not good enough.
You will also need a USB Stick with at least 1GB size. Note this process formats the USB disk so don't keep any important files on it. It will also wipe your micro sd so make sure you are prepared.
1. Go to the link below and download the GParted Live CD/USB/HD/PXE Bootable Image and save it somewhere you remember

2. Download Linux Live USB Creator and install it

3. Fire up LiLi USB Creator:
a. Choose your USB key - I,e, the drive letter for your USB (not sd card)
b. Choose your GParted iso image for the source
c. Choose the check box to Format Key in FAT32 and hide files
d. Click the lightning bolt to create
4. Now you have a bootable disk you need to boot from it. You may need to alter you BIOS Settings on your PC to boot from a USB Stick but mine did it without messing.
5. Insert your micro SD card into an SD Card adapter and insert into PC
6. Boot into GParted
7. Choose Gparted Live <Enter>
8. Don’t touch keymap <Enter>
9. Languge <Enter>
10. Start Gparted Automatically
11. Change device to your micro sd )it will default to you hard disk - hda– mine is /dev/sdc
12. Delete all existing partitions
For a 64GB card: (resize as needed but /system doesn't need to be bigger than 1GB)
13. Create new, always select primary: do this 3 times.
14. FAT 32 : Size 16GB – this will be /dev/sdc1 in gparted and will be your sdcard for storage in Android
15. EXT4 : Size 42GB – this will be /dev/sdc2 in gparted and will be your /data partition in Android
16. EXT4 : Size 1GB – this will be /dev/sdc3 in gparted and will be your /system partition in Android
Apply, wait until it finishes and then reboot. Remember to remove the usb stick
*Images stolen from elsewhere as I couldn’t get it to save mine
Now you are ready to install ROM2SD. Note if you want to use DATA2SD then only do 2 partitions 1x FAT32 and 1x larger EXT4
Then reinstall CROMBi-kk but this time choose the ROM2SD option

- Made it possible to mount all 3 partitions on the external_sdcard from within TWRP ....
- Added 'reboot recovery' & 'reboot bootloader' as options in REBOOT
- These partitions will show up as ......
external_sdcard = User storage space, should be formatted vfat
external_data = Will become /data for ROM2SD or DATA2SD, can be formatted either EXT4 or f2fs both can now be done from within TWRP ...
external_system = Will become /system for ROM2SD, should be formatted EXT4 can also be done from with in TWRP ....
This should make it very nice to make backups and restore without the need for the rom2sd1.zip or the data2sd.zip ......

On the tf201.... The bluetooth does not seem to work on anything but grimlock kernel RC-2.2
Could this be a module issue??

Possibly but I don't know why Maybe worth switching the TF201 back to the TF700 kernel base as it may be closer to that than the TF300?

I have to make a compliment for this rom.
This is the first time I can use XBMC full-hd tv-channels streaming. (I use argus-tv server to watch live tv through the house and different xbmc clients).
I never could play HD streams via wifi on android. Not even on my Note 2 which is much faster. But now with art and the new xbmc it's flying.
Awesome work bro! Ive been running it for a few hours and so far no issues at all. Quick question if you dont mind. Where do I find the dock keyboard layout? I need to change the internet shortcut into a minus as mine quit working some time ago. I was able to get to it under /system/user in the past but now there a ton of different controller layouts and I cant find the asus dock in there. I may have missed it though. Do you remember the vendor number for the layout file?

Asusdec.kl is what I modified on your older cromi rom. I just cant seem to find it even using search in es file explorer.
