[dev-only] [help] [cm10] cyanogen compiling tool - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 General

hello guys , I am here mohamed rashad
I want to help in the developmeny of cm10 or cm9 from source and I am not too talented in comand lines and this stuff
and I found this today
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20772042#post20772042
this is a compiling tool for building cm 10 or 9 or 7 but i can't find the file to download it
please help me and find this file
N.B : you won't find it on softpedia and mediufire :crying:

Bro, Terminal commands are given..... They are under the install section And Btw I will also work to get CM10,1 on sgy when broadcom releases the driver If so thenlets work together

I want the tool itself pls and OK I accepted your offer to join you in cm10 development but at least I can use this to compile cm9
"Noob question : why do we need the drivers? "
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium

Btw, I am fixing bugs on already available cm for sgy...
and to answer your question: we need drivers coz the current drivers for our sgy is outdated and cannot run stable cm's Once the drivers arrive wedont need to work that hard to make it possible to get stable ics or jb
that tool is good for beginners like you and me I hope broadcom release the drivers soon so that we could continue to develop and research to make stable ics and jb possible on our y.....
And i think you are way too noobish Will teach you things PM me we will discuss to where to start from

We don't even have a fully working cm7!
How will you get cm10 on sgy!
Ics booted, but useless!
first aim to improve cm7..

Hello guys,
I have been asked for help with porting CM7 (and after a lot of more I hope) to this device, so I'll try it.
Alone is so alone, so I ask with this thread for members for a team. Everyone who is intrested is welcome, but not too much people, I think of some 2-3 people that will help me. I don't have the Galaxy Y by myself, but I'll do it!

Dude you dont have an android phone and you are trying to port cyano mod for us??!!
Probably using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623464
and is that base rom stable?
Jeez people is this forum need to stop flaming Devs! Not everyones fake. Lets call him that after its proved. We're driving away Devs who would've probably made a ROM for us. So test first, flame em later.

Why is it that all new devs first come to our forum to test things?? . I am not at all trying to scare this dev and make him run away but its just human nature not to believe when there are couple of reasons like these (That guy has only 2 posts, no android phone and he is from symbian OS)
Giving it a test soon. How should it be flashed? Through CMW or stock recovery?

I did use the tutorial mentioned above. I'll be getting my Galaxy Y in no time.
About the Rom
- Flash it via CWM
- Base rom do has bugs as mentioned by sgy.creed. Use patches by Mr.Vivek
- LeWa-OS rom is actually ported from HTC Hero. So I think it'll have screen resolution problems
I have ported Lewaos for sgy .

Thanks @andynroid , there are a lot of tutorials similar to this but the main part is device config for our device. Getting the device config is not easy and this is the main problem.

arco/cowitgun kernel is not a pure cm7 kernel, it requires most of the things from stock rom. it will not work for cm7 port/build.
Something to sleep on n not rush over and is something achievable....

It can work, I have port a cm7 rom some time ago with this kernel. But you a right it is not a pure kernel, but if you overlooked samsung have released the sources of gb kernel, cause of the gpl and arco have taking it into his github.
Btw I myself have done some minor working to get me a device folder for our galaxy w, which compiles okay for cm7 and aosp, but with out luck to get it started right. It stucks somewhere in an initialization.
If it had worked, I would have let you know right away.

Yeah, I also would like to have it. And I also played with AOSP, but I'm just a beginner in android development.
I would be glad if some experienced developer could assist and guide us.
Regarding the stop in the start process I have to do some deeper investigation or is here someone who could do it and examine the boot process?

From what i've learn, developing is practically starting from scratch, writing codes and stuffs like that. Cooking is basically using the programme cygwin (what i've used previously) to alter another rom to suit your own preference, editing and stuffs like that. SGW is actually a good phone, just that it's single-core, otherwise, it will hit the high-end phone mark.
---------- Post added at 08:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:55 PM ----------
Btw, if possible add in a flashable TouchWiz UI zip file. I find it more snappy than trebuchet.

Crossbreed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113150) from the Xperia Arc forum.. I'll go find the original one... You go look first! And touch wiz launcher will skip your wallpaper if you go to the end of the home screen... I'm not feeling well today... I'll update this someday! Hope you understand!
