Port of Samsung Galaxy s4 Theme - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

Could anybody please port this app to MDPI for our Gio, please. I tried changing the sensitivity of my Gio (CM 10.1 Android 4.2.2) But it gives me bootloop. I would really like to have this Theme.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thomassafca.theme.touchwiz&feature=search_result
Thanks in advance

That's easy
1.make a nandroid backup first
2.open any root browser on your phone(such as root explorer,oi file manager etc)
3.navigate to /system/build.prop
4.edit build.prop with any text editor
5.find "qemu.sf.lcd_density=160"
6.change its value from 160 to 140
7.reboot and apply any HDPI/XHDPI theme
8.Done! your theme is applied

If it changes density from build.prop on cm10 gives bootloop
but you can try to install this, just move to system/app and set perm

No matter, I just tried it without changing density or anything (with apex launcher) and it works

[SOLVED] why can't I use themes?

I have tried numerous jb roms based off cm10 and every time I try to apply themes thru the supposed built in theme engine, I get the "this theme was not compiled properly" so I do the whole process of apply system, reboot, apply theme (which then again gives the error) and reboot again anyway and still nothing. I've tried alien Droid, the sgt7 and Hellfire roms so far but none of them allow me to theme. Any ideas?
I'm in the same boat

Are you installing KF specific themes, like this one? I know a lot of the themes out there are made for the phone UI, but I'm not sure how they would be affected using JB in phone UI. I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with the LCD density, though.
Back when the theme switcher was first introduced, I believe the way around that was to change the LCD density to a phone's LCD density, apply the theme and change it back.

You need to chance the DPI from 160 to 140
here is a zip file(page 96 on twa_priv cm10 rom) you can flash before you add the theme it chance the DPi to 140
after add the theme you flash the same zipfile again an it chance the DPi to 160
read this you can find it in the cm10 rom of twa_priv on page 96.
i used it with the theme gobalt from the playstore an it workt perfect.
I finally got the DPI to change. To make it easier for anyone else that wants to install a theme i modified the Toggle zip that twa_priv made so that it will toggle DPI from 160 to 140 and back. so just flash in recovery and then install the theme you want then flash it again to restore it back

Worked a charm! Thank you soooo much.

Full theme store access on stock or custom

MUST BE DEODEXED AND ROOTED. WORKING ON ODEX HOPEFULLY SOON ILL CRACK IT.
I managed to get full theme store access on stock deodexed 6.0.1 mm. I figured I would share with everyone.
1. I changed my build prop value of the ro.product.model from G900p to N930P. I have sprint so my model is P. Should work for all models just change only the numbers.
2. Need to have a new launcher I'm using a TouchWizHome_zero myself. Any from S6|N5 should work.
3. I found that I need 2 theme stores the first ThemeStore_3xh and a N7 GalaxyThemes. I'm using the older S6 theme Center because they don't show up with the newer N7 theme center.
4. To download I set the correct permissions for the new galaxy themes to 0755 for the folder and 0644 for the apk. (In the 3xh theme Center just rename the apk to ThemeCenter_3xh.bak and vice versa. You can only have 1 installed at a time. So after downloading your themes go in to data\overlays\json files\temp json and move them to user json. Then go in priv apps and change GalaxyThemes.apk to GalaxyThemes.bak and then go into the Themestore_3xh and change the apk back to Themestore_3xh.apk. then reboot.
Basically one app to download and the other to apply.
5. In the zip I included a TouchWiz_Zero launcher with small icons and up to 7 I believe in the hotseat, Both theme stores, theme center and an add toggles app that seems to work on mm too to add all toggles.
6. All folder permissions are 0755 and all app permissions are 0644 and the go into system\priv-apps. Just remember to toggle the 2 theme stores with 1 apk changed to .bak and one .apk.
7. Do not update theme store or it won't show your themes.. OR IF YOU WANT S6 THEME STORE KEEP A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL AND THEN DO THE UPDATE. YOU WILL HAVE TO KEEP ORIGINAL TO APPLY THEMES. IF YOU LIKE YOU CAN KEEP ALL 3 TO HAVE ACCESS TO S6,N7, AND ORIGINAL TO APPLY. JUST REMEMBER TO SET CORRECT PERMISSIONS AND RENAME THE APK NOT BEING USED TO .BAK AS THIS WILL UNINSTALL AFTER RESET. MUST RESET EACH TIME YOU SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT STORE AND ORIGINAL THEME STORE APPLY APP. IF YOU WANT S6 STORE BUILD PROP NEEDS TO BE G920P. YOU WILL HAVE TO CHANGE MODEL FOR EACH STORE

Good luck and happy theming. Only works on icons and wallpaper so far feel free to advance farther I'm kind of a noob but I didn't see this up here so I'm sharing. As always to be safe make a backup first
Will try it Sir t.y
Any way of making a flashable ZIP I'm not very good at changing permissions.

HI, I did it but only app drawer icon and wallpaper is changing, rest of icons on the home screen wont change I'm using on 910V with Marshmallow

Group effort to get Theme Center running on Tab S2 & S3

I've also posted this in a thread of the Tab S3 forums, as the stock nougat rom for both is so similar.
Progress so far is that Galaxy Themes installs and runs, but won't download and apply the themes from the store. Next up I'd need to trawl though the logs and see if there are any clues. If anyone has some spare time and wants to help out, I've attached the needed files to this post. Put the Galaxy Themes and ThemeCenter folders in /system/priv-app (set permissions if needed) and change your devices model number to SM-G935F or another theme-supported device in build.prop then reboot.
Attached files are from a deodexed S7 rom.
Screenshots:
1. Themes now appears in settings
2. Theme store
3. Theme downloading
4. Install failed
Grand idea. But side loading themes only works with *root* access, aye?
This my results from from Marshmallow (https://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/themes-apps/theme-store-marshmallow-t3394157), im using same method in Nougat firmware, but the results was same. I think it because the Framework things (?) And, the themes itself does not support Tablet resolution (Maybe?) Because, in my results only partial theme aspect is installed (Fonts, wallpaper, etc) and, if you trying to install other theme aspect (ui colors, overlays, etc) manually from extracted theme assets file, you will get "Application Not Installed". Hope you can find a way out! ?

Some package(s) are missing, I'd say. Anyhow, if you are rooted you could simply edit the UI to alter colors etc.
I have managed to somehow apply a theme partially!? I can apply icons and wallpaper part of the latest olympic theme, like I said somehow and I used apk editor pro from playstore to edit and install apk's.

Also managed to install my Note 8 theme store once and it had the new layout that included AOD with Icons Themes and Wallpapers. But it asked to update when I opened galaxy apps and after it updated it reverted to the same theme store you provided.
This is my Tab S2 sm-t815y.
How u got themes?
I had root and cut and paste Samsung theme.apk and Samsung Theme centre.apk into system privapp as well as changed the device ID to S8 using buildprop editor. Then rebooted and had theme store running but not completely.

To have full theme store work you need (the problem is SystemUI.apk)
• ThemeStore and ThemeCenter framework. (your tablet already have it,copy paste the 2 files ,framework support themes....you are ok)
• The new TouchWizHome Launcher from TW Marshmallow,Nougat (your tablet already have it ....you are ok)
• A modded S.7,8,9 SystemUI (You need a SystemUI.apk from Samsung S7 or S8,S9,Note 5,Note7 ported for your tablet ,your SystemUI.apk NOT support themes, )
• A modded build.prop to allow Theme Store to work (it's simple to change name ....you are ok)
Don't copy SystemUI.apk from other phone !! ..You will have bootloop

Nope.... the issue is entire system.... all apk has no support for themes.... it ts still all hardcoded in styles, so overlay theming will never work(well maybe for few items only), the only way is old theming;
that means de/recompile needed apks.... long story just for few and immense work...
Enjoy
