The PAC rom is now in Original Development and is not stock based.

CWM for locked bootloaders is updated.
Development is slow for this phone. Thread doesn't even need to be updated weekly

there is a very simple way to root Xperia ZL with locked bootloader by using new flashtool (Flashtool version 0.9.10.2beta6)

Guys, i intend to root and unlock bootloader. So far it has been a little confusing. There are rooting http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386405 here require kernel only. i have been searching the kernels only section for International ZL C6502 and currently running 10.3.1.A.2.67 .. any guides?

Did you test it? I tryied rooting using previous versions of Flash Tools and none of the methods worked.

I had rooted before when it was having android 4.0.4 but now when Sony officially release 4.1.2 then my root was gone.. since then i have been trying to root, but i have gain no success. Can anyone help me with rooting my SONY XPERIA SL...

Or flash kernel with Recovery,then flash the root package.(phone must be unlocked).
This is what I copied a paragraph:

Bro i tried it, but with My sony Xperia SL JB 4.1.2 build 6.2.B.0.200, its not working its only working for 6.2.B.0.211, it gave me the error for not supported... how can i upgrade to 6.2.B.0.211 either root the same.....

Download Flashtool and then Xperia S [LT26i]_6.2.B.0.211_World Generic.ftf and flash the ROM.

dude... i dont want to remove my Factory ROM... if i did that my xperia SL will be S.... and processor 1.7 GHz to 1.5GHz.... i dont want to loose it... if there is ROM for SL which will not harm my processor then i will flash it...can you guyz help me with that.... still it will be better if i just could only ROOT my xperia SL.... Thanks for all these support....
i tried this method mentioned above - and it worked for my xperia s. the bootloader was unlocked before.

Go with 10.1.1.A.1.253 .. it's newer than .434. There is no change to any icons, only some performance improvements.

but as i know all the firmware for ZL are JB 4.1.2 not ICS 4.0....

My bad, you are correct both are JB .. from the 4.1.2 loads, .253 is newer. After .253 you'll need to upgrade to 4.2.2

correct, 307 is an OTA and is newer. It was certified but to my knowledge not widely deployed across all Sony Z variants.
Stick with .253 (rock steady and best version to date) and wait until 4.2.2 is superseded by something newer (whenever and whatever that might be ) as it is buggy and unreliable in many android devices

I 'broke' my Android 4.3 rooted build for a Locked Bootloader and have to start over again.
I have found Indian and Indonesian versions which I could use if there is nothing else available.

if you have unlocked bootloader flash a kernel with built-in recovery after this;
if you have locked bootloader go to NUT thread to root and install dual recovery.
