isn't that for outside the USA? I'm assuming this refers to USTVNow. It only gives five channels free--Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS. All those channels are rebroadcasts from Philly.

You will need to download Aptoide to get the app but T.V. portal gives you access to so many movies and shows.

Yes, get T.V. Portal. I whole-heartedly endorse that app.

actually MobiTV is on the Sprint GN2. It's just Sprint TV; see link from MobiTV.com: Linky
Not all of it is free, but you get a couple channels--ABC Mobile TV, ESPN Mobile, Disney, Live Sports Calender, NBC Sport Mobile. You have to subscribe to get other channels. No HDMI output either.

Thanks, I have xbmc but was looking for live tv, like sprintv, as im on boost. Unless there is a way to get it to work?

I wish. Google changed how Google Play loads and verifies what market your device is linked to. So things like MarketEnabler are no longer working. Otherwise, I would say give that a go.
I know of other apps you can use for live TV, but they're all based outside the USA. They're use to use if use a VPN since they're all IP based such as BBC's media player, USATVNow, CatchupTV. Nevermind what you can access with Flash Player and a compatible browser such as Boat Player.

Found this gem out there. It's beautiful and a battery hog. Now if only I needed it.
I have xbmc on my phone and its pretty buggy, but it still works how I want it too. =)

It should be noted that this is not a remote.

Get Plex. My issue with XMBC is their scraper sucks. No matter what I download, Pled identifies it correctly. Once you set up a Plex account you can stream your stuff to your phone over 4G. Works great.
But I do use XMBC on my laptop, which is my media PC. Not sure why, the PC version of Plex has gotten a lot better...
There is already the great XMBC Remote app anyway....just no streaming to the phone.

What do you currently use? Any app that streams will have to buffer at some point, especially if the signal in your area isn't strong. I use Netflix, HBO Go and YouTube.
TV portal has worked pretty well for me. You can download the APK from their Facebook here:
https://www.facebook.com/TVPortalApp
Using XBMC with 1 channel and Icefilms. Any stream will buffer. Depends on the source providing the stream and your connection.

Good movie and TV app... live and free

Latest movie downloads etc. .. Thanks for any help.

You can get some from the Play Store, Amazon, Netflix and Hulu. Also if you have ROKU, I believe there is an app for that too. Yes those are all paid, but it is a place to start. Also, most networks (at least in the US) have either an app or way to view shows on/from them.
I do hope that you are not asking about torrent sites and how to use them. If you are, then Google is your friend and please do not post such on XDA.
I'm doing Netflix hulu and the occasional red box instead of cable right now, saving a bloody fortune streaming media to my smart tv from my note

Xbmc then add navix plug in and you will get all tv series, movies etc.
I'm looking for apps. .. Nothing I need to buy hardware for. .. I live in Canada so Hulo etc don't work well here. Thanks.

So you want completely free, "latest" releases and current tv series all through an app.... Let me know if you find anything because I've stuck my head in that hole and there's no turtle to be found.

There should be a decent streaming video app somewhere

I haven't heard of any that are free... Why wouldn't Netflix work well in Canada, the Internet is the Internet no matter where you are.

Actually, just started using the 1channel app again and other than the 15 second wait to watch things, it's working pretty darn good.
My XBMC was acting up so I opened the 'ol 1channel app to watch all the new shows today (Hardcore Pawn, Storage Wars, Zombieland, etc).
Still will use both, thinking about even buying pro version of 1channel, if it streamed the movies, it would be a done deal.

Thanks for the info on xbmc! Set mine up with super repo, 1chan, ICE, and YouTube. Looks like there's a ton of skins and add-ons... Guess I'll be busy for a while

Is there a way to add stream-tv. Well it looks like if you don't have the app you want be streaming 1channel as the domain changed. Glad I have both XBMC and 1channel app!
I was using xbmc with no problem. But then I did a flash to a new ROM, but restored my old one afterwards. Now when I access xbmc it will not let me install or play any add ons. Have anybody ever run into this problem?

1channel has changed domains so you can't stream from that hub anyways... As far as your question... I had issues adding addons. I just keep trying and they finally install.
