F180K works only with rom F180K10H_00.kdz - LG Optimus G (International)

Hallo all,
I have a silly question for anyone has time to lose: I have a LG-F180K, the OptimusG korean version. Why can I only use the rom F180K10H?
I tested several configuration and official roms, mixing my backupped baseband and roms, official OTA. but my phone works ONLY with F180K10H.
For example with the others official LG's rom mobile network doesn't work (I can't make calls!!), wifi works. Restoring the baseband (img) works mobile network but wifi not.
I tested the official upgrade F180K10H->F180K20C/G/I without success.
Ideas?

same here
i had exactly this issue.. did you find any solution? thanks!

For now I'm on ICS. Unfortunately I didn't find the reason, but I think it is the baseband...

I noticed that if you dial 3845#*180# you gain an hidden menu. If you have jb installed maybe 2G network is disabled. Can you check this?

The modem menu/settings is 5457

[Q] Flashed Nitro system image on LU6200. Worked but wifi error

I just flashed the system.img (Bell P930) on LU6200. Everything worked fine (call, sms, 2g, 3g, bluetooth, ect) but wifi error.
I can root it also.
I plan to copy wifi drivers on stock LU6200 rom to replace on the new one. But I did not know which wifi drivers I should copy?
Any help?
Thanks,
Cool!!!!
Unbelievable!!!!
Great news!! have you tested MMS? MMS doesn't work on lu6200 stock firmware
Man I wish I understood this stuff.
Any update Nghia?
I'm using LU6200 too. There is a problem that all incoming SMS are marked ANONYMOUS. Any solution for this?
You should probably flash your original firmware image back (not everything, just firmware). I think that will get you wifi.

i am also using LG LU6200. i really like this.
the one causing the txt sender not being recognize is the newest update OTA. you need to flash your phone with the lower fw and never update the phone yet bec the new update has bugs.
i hope we can make this work with the P930 rom...

@Levr943: do you have the earlier firmware of lu6200? Please share it to me. I've just bought this phone and don't know much about it.
Thanks,
Hey there, I'm with the same problem.... now I'm receiving anonymous sms... does any one got the previous firmware to share?
By the way, I tried several ways to root my lu6200, but nothing works, how did you do that? What about that P930 image, cna you share it too?
Thanks!
LU6200 are similar phone's? It'll be a kernel issue Wi-Fi

I had these issues after I updated the phone to the newest firmware, and so I just did a factory reset this morning and all is well with text messages now.
Before I had to type in *#*#4636#*#* in the dialpad, choose "Phone Information", scroll down to the SMSC (text message center number) and hit refresh every time I try to send a text message, was pretty annoying
Oh, BTW, tried 4-5 root programs with all the tips I could find around them, still no joy, keeps saying the file system is read-only, so they couldn't copy the superuser.apk app. Hopefully someone knows Korean to look at the U+ forums?

Hi, here's a good news for LU6200 and su640 owers. someone in GFAN has successfully ported WIFI driver to these 2 models. now both the Bell or AT&T rom work on LU6200 and SU640. http://bbs.gfan.com/android-3549968-1-1.html

[Q] Noob Qestions on Baseband

I friends,
Can anyone help me please to find answers for the following questions?
# Is changing (upgrading or downgrading) "baseband only" risky?
# How can I find the matching baseband (Radio/Modem) for a particular ROM I'm running?
# If I want to use specific baseband (let's say XXKL3), how can I find the related ROM to extract baseband? (I see ROMs with PDA/PHONE/CSC numbers. Which one represents Baseband number?)
# Is there any recommened stock ROM with no Wi-Fi issue?

It is not risky if u flash it via Odin follow the proper steps. If something goes wrong, just flash another official STOCK ROM.

This is actually not the matching of ROM but ur region, for example, DXLM2 baseband for Malaysia, while XXLM3 for Europe Region.

U can get it from official Samsung website

First of all, thanks for your explanatory response. Now things are more clear in my mind.
You're right, stock ROMs have no Wi-Fi issue. But as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) particular stock ROM versions are more stable than the others. I'm asking those ones if possible...

Thanks for your suggestion... Actually now i'm using XXLM8 but I'm still having wifi issues. Then I suppose there is an incompatibility between my phone and router

What kind of wifi issue are u facing? I guess it might due to some sort of power saving app u are using.

[Q] Q: e975 Baseband/LTE?

Hey...
i have just Rooted, unlocked bootloader and flashed CM 10.1.2 Stable. Now it seems that i have lost lte on my device? is it because of the Baseband have changed? and were can I find the baseband? I have the e975 europe_open...?
I know that there are original firmware .KDZ can I extract baseband from there?
Regards Torben...
ps. I'm new to rooting and custom rom, bare with me....

Hi, Torbennmadsen
There is a possibility your APN settings have been altered and hence the problem with LTE Connection.
Try Google to find the right APN setting for your carrier (like this: http://wiki.apnchanger.org/Denmark)

I have checked the APN settings which seems okay... that can't be the problem then..
Then it must be the baseband, enyone who have the e975 europe_open 10d baseband? and can tell me how to flash it...?

[Q] Not Matching CSC with carrier stock rom

So other members told me to flash stock rom/firmware but I can't seem to find the right one for my device
It's running on 4.3 Jellybean and it's from the Philippines (Globe). I found a couple of stock roms but it doesn't match with my phones N7100XXUENA1, could only find N7100XXUEML3, scared I might lose GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth or Network Connection
and if I flash the rom with wrong AP & CSC (but correct Carrier and Country) what would happen?
If you guys know where I could get one would be great

Question about BT and baseband

Can anyone tell me if changing your baseband affects Bluetooth at all? Asking because no aosp roms allow me to connect to my Bluetooth stereo, infact only resurrection remix rom worked. No other ROMs allow me to use Bluetooth

Yes baseband definitely affects Bluetooth. But your problem may not be solved by upgrading baseband. Your problem seems to be ROM dependant.

Yeah everyone else seems to have Bluetooth working correctly on any ROM so its left me wondering about baseband. Does yours work correctly? What ROM and baseband are you on?

If you restore your RR ROM you probably restored the baseband aswell.
Also check if your Bluetooth stero allows you to connect, probably it allows only a limited amount of devices.

I tried using the same baseband as RR in other ROMs and had no luck, I restored RR and changed my baseband and Bluetooth still works which is why I don't think its baseband related anymore... Have cleared my stereos stored Bluetooth devices in between every romchange or baseband change etc. the other ROMs simply can't connect with bluetooth
