Anyone tried to install Asphalt 7 Heat? - Windows Phone 8s by HTC

Hi guys.I`ve wanted to ask you did someone managed to install Asphalt 7 Heat on the HTC 8S.I have it on my SD Card but it`s listed under unsupported applications.
Thanks.

Try to download it again. Maybe you have Version 1.0. That is not supported by the 8S, because it has only 512 MB Ram. The Version 1.1 should be supported

I will try again but i am sure that the version is 1.1.Did you maybe tried installing it on a 512MB ram phone?

And b.t.w. can you tell me why the game is not appearing in the Store when i do a search on my phone?I've tried different regions but no luck.

when you put it on your memory card you must remove the memory card from the phone and then put it back...wait 5 min and it should be there in the store

My friend. The game shows up in the Store app list but on the bottom of the list under Unsupported applications.I`m asking:
1.Did someone managed to install this game on HTC 8S?
2.Is it the low internal memory of the phone that is preventing the game to be installed?(Official confirmation).
If this is the problem then HTC made a huge mistake allowing this phone to run Windows Phone 8.The phone is great looking i can say but it`s functionality is terrible. That`s like Bugatti make a Veyron but only with 150HP.

Google Earth

I tried to install google earth the nexus one version on the desire, as they are the same insides i thought this would not be a problem.
I get an error message that: not enough memory to install, but i have over 2gig free on the sd card?
I also tried to install the text to voice data same error not enough memory.
So my question is are we limited to installing apps on to the memory that is on the hard wired into the phone?
I thought we could load as many appz as we wanted because we have sd cards?
Rod
Rod,
On unmodified Android phones, apps *never* install on the SD card, but to the internal memory of the phone. The only way (currently) to get apps on the SD card is to install a custom ROM that includes "APPS2SD" functionality. Right now, there are no such ROMs available for the Desire.
John
Thats a real bummer, as we are limited to how many appz to install by the phones memory? unlike the iphone, but the iphone i had did have 32 gig of memory, i think this is a real weak point with android. what a shame.
something i noted is that when i install appz and uninstall them i dont get the full memory back is this normal?
Forget pinkness and not being able to see the screen in strong daylight. The only real weakness of the HTC Desire is not being able to install apps. onto the SD card. Hopefully this facility will be added shortly by HTC, if not we will have to rely on the genius of the "XDA Developers" to come up with a way of implementing it.
yeah for me this is the major / biggest problem right now.

Low space on internal storage

I have had the htc desire now for about 4days and only have a handfull of apps
360 live
batman soundboard
better keyboard
engadget
facebook
gallery
handcent sms
homerun 3d
imusic
last fm
monkey kickoff
voice search
had a few other games wich i delete but now i have no space left only got 16mb left where has all my memory gone any help would be nice
do you have a memory card in your phone they come with a 4 GB card i have around 50 apps and about 40 books and still have 3.6GB on the card and 50% of my phone memory see if your card is in right
Homerun 3d takes 20mb anyway, pretty big.
Also if you were installing the apps while the phone was connected to the PC it may have dismounted your SD card and installed everything on the phone memory?? Just a guess.
my memory card is in right i did have 48mb free installed asphalt 5 and idracula didnt like them unistalled them now i only have 20mb so strange desire need to get rooted asap

Can you share with us how do you manage to install apps on sdcard ?
the phone is superb much better than iphone imho but just makes me angry having to factory reset every time i run out off memory hopefully gets sorted soon
Yea okay this is really annoying me now, i barely have any apps on my device besides google maps, facebook, aircontrol etc all under a couple of mb. I install raging thunder 2 which takes up more than 20mb of my internal storage and that's it, don't have room for anything else. This is REALLY stupid.
It is a massive issue for me as its a really great device, but you can only install a few apps at a time??? WTF????
It would be nice to install more than 1 3d game......
I noticed the same thing as the guys above. Can someone tell us how to install the APPs on the SD card that's in the phone??
From what I understand, apps2sd requires root access, which requires a root ;-)
funny or not, but i had more free mem to install aps on my old nokia e50 phone and all this talk about this issue here or basically on the net, it's just bad pr for google/andorid platform.
it's a lame limitation that at the end will be removed by google itself or by rooting the phone.
and for now... install astro file manager and backup unused apps on sd card. thanks to that you can have some apps installed in phone memory, ready for quick use, and many more backed up on sd card available with few clicks.

Maybe a mass android users petition or something to google?
seems to me the only major downfall of this otherwise amazing device

[Q] Low phone memory htc desire

HI, im really sorry if this has been posted already but i did look and all i found was for other phones and not mine.
So my phone has had the low memory icon since December 31st, 2011 and has only gone away a few times. I clear the cache, took off photos, even cleared out my music and did a factory reset...all the while took off all the apps and put them back on one by one. Now my phone has decided to deny me access to my photo's, music and text messages. yesterday my internal phone memory was 10.93 and this morning it is 8.88. My sd card is 8 gigs and has 4.77 available space. I went to the telus store and the representative told me just to force stop applications running which I do that all the time and even go to the manage applications and stop the large ones. and I spoke to multiple representatives and all they would do if I sent it away would be update the software and do a factory reset. my phone wont even update any application....
please help me!!! I'm ready to throw my phone against a brick wall.
THANK YOU
MELISSA
I think that this hasn't been asked yet. Furthermore, in no case there are a billion of custom ROMS whose primary task was to circumvent this issue.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
Have a look in the development section of this forum. There are custom roms (phone software) that allow apps to run from your memory card rather than the very limited phone memory. This will give you 5 times or more amount of space

Unfortunately you have to start a root and install a modded rom.
The Htc desire has this big problem. You can install apps only in the internal memory (about 520mb).
The modded roms allow you to install apps also in the SD card with (virtual) unlimited space.

[Q] Experience with 16GB Note 2 Storage and apps

Just wondering if those who are lucky enough to already have their 16GB Note 2 have had any issues downloading a high number of apps. I have a Nexus 7 16GB version, but have found that I cannot download all of my apps (roughly 200) before I get a low storage warning. It usually doesnt let me get over 100 apps downloaded, and that is with nothing else on my device. I realize the Note 2 allows an SD card, but that doesnt help with app storage.
Any thoughts from users that currently have their device would be appreciated. I'm in the US and have been waiting anxiously for quite some time for this phone to be released. Id hate to cancel my order since who knows when we will get the 32GB/63GB versions.
Thanks for any replies/information.
It's not really a big issue unless you decide to install several big games, those occupy a lot of space and then you will quickly run out with 16GB. I have quite a lot of applications installed and a handful of games and all that occupies only 2,6GB which gives me plenty of free space to use for everything else.
Then i regularly move out photographs and filmed content to my stationary computer to not clutter and slowdown my device with such content.

Here's what I have experienced. This phone is a beast, most programs install instantly, I was extremely shocked and pleased. The uninstalls are even quicker.

It totally depends on what apps you have.
I have 235 apps and I have about 5.8 gig remaining out of the 10.
I also have several games that use 1.5 gig EACH, and bard's tale, if you let it, can chew down 3.5 gig on its own.
You pretty much have to root if you want to run a bunch of those.
- Frank
Can anyone tell me if these types of apps can install to the SD?
With Stock? With Root?
Google Music (pin files to SD?)
Google Maps Cache
Google Play Movies
Any Gameloft Games?
Rockstar Games (GTA, Max Payne)
That is pretty much the deciding factor for my purchase of a Note 2. If its too much of a pain to actually use the SD card, I will just stick with my 32gig Gnex.
it should be a way to move apps to the sd card
There is a way, look in the development forum. You need a custom kernel and then you can "switch" your internal and external storage. The feedback is good.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
You can pin Google Music files to the external sd card so it won't take up space on the internal. I have about 25gb of music files pinned to the external card. Dunno about games as I don't have any...

I doubt that. Internal storage is not like cpu freq, where you can increase it and see whether it is safe or not. This is like " I want to increase my pendrive storage from 1Gb to 2Gb without purchasing new pendrive."
Can it be done? By "hardware hacking" point of view, it is possible.
Should you do it? I guess not.
