I was just thinking to myself "why mod it so that every app you have installed shows up in the multiwindow bar?" This presents incompatibilities and also makes it hard for those who have a lot of apps installed (me) to really find what we're looking for to actually multitask with.
With the latest leak they've added the ability to specify which apps get multiwindow support through the awesome CSC engine. Now, instead of having all of your installed apps show up, you can pick and choose which ones you'd like to be added.
If you ever wondered how those Sprint apps got added to the list, it's by editing the feature.xml file located in /system/csc

Add and remove apps by package name. This is a bit advanced so it's more for ROM chefs or users who know how to retrieve package names and feel comfortable editing this file. If someone were to create an app to do this, it would be even better. I have over 300 apps installed and this is the perfect way to make sure I'm not scrolling endlessly as I try to find the app I want to multitask with. A reboot later and your new app should show up in the list.

I modified the feature.xml and added the Yahoo Mail app (com.yahoo.mobile.client.android.mail) entry and then rebooted. When I went into Multi Window, I was able to add Y!Mail and was able to split screen it.

Appears Chrome Beta and Chrome are not able to co-exist in Multiwindow. I added Chrome Beta (com.chrome.beta) to feature.xml and then Chrome is not available to split screen with. I then tried to add Chrome (com.android.chrome) to feature.xml as well, but only 1 Chrome will show up.

If you use root explorer, navigate to data/app, all the passage names are listed there... just leave out -1.apk... so for quick pic (the blue app icon you see in the screenshot) it would be com.alensw.PicFolder

not all apps are there. i have found a few in another folder. sometimes doing a search in root explorer is better.

Tried it and got the regular search box.. some reason on eh17 it didn't even let me install the apk even after I deleted from titan backup and rebooted
I think this is the one you want. Its almost a smoky black transparent one. I extracted it from White Shadow theme.. http://db.tt/GtgIki6. Make sure you are on Deodexed version of EH17. I don't think you will need to push it with a file manager.

Not sure if that's the one either.. it doesn't lok like any other search boxes I've seen.. its like a glossy black black and thinner.. I tried dling that link but it crashed my browser each time and when it did go through it wouldn't install at all even after removing the stock.. now gotta do a restore cause the search box isn't in sync wth the keypad. I actually have to click on the browser instead of just typing.. thanks anyways though

Is anybody actually excited to use the multiview feature? I mean, ya its extremely awesome what this guy did and the option to have it awesome but seeing my friend have the note 2 and use the feature just seems like its not as "beneficial as it seems" maybe people can list what they would use the feature for? I could not get the wifi hotspot to work. Please post steps as to how you did.

Once you are done, then go to twitter or something and click a link and hit "Popup window" then you can use Multi view.

It's a variant of multi-view basically.

That's pop up browser not multi view, their is no need to flash the .zip for that. Also flashing the .zip does nothing you have to manually place the files yourself.
What's your battery life like with this? I'm just starting to use it but I was plugged in all night and now an hour after unplugging I'm already at 89%??

Not so great here either. Android system usage is very high when the screen is off.
This is like when I was running the LI8 Jellybean leak, although since this is a port, the reasons for high android system usage while screen off could very well have different causes I guess, but the symptom is the same.

It just installs like a normal APK. I;m not sure of all the new features, I know they optimized the UI, not sure what all they changed.

As far as I can see from playing 5 minutes with it, only the driving mode is different.
Makes sense since they mentionned on the launch of the S4 that the app was now called S Voice Drive (or something like that).

I pulled these from the system dump. I have a feeling that the AccuWeather app doesn't work on out phones. There was only the weather.apk and the weather deamon.apk.
Since it was a odexed ROM did that mean they had to have their odex file included and only worked on a odexed ROM ?

1: put the rom and the MiniTAB-DPI_Fix in ur SD
2:reboot to recovery
3:make full wipe (optional but high recommended)
4:flash the rom then DPI fix zip
5:reboot

If Dpi fix doesnt work you may have to use es file explorer or root explorer and extract the zip, open the folder where you extracted the zip and go to data/data shared prefs and copy the mod settings and post it in data/data/xposed.mod.appsetings/shared_prefs. Yeah it's the weekend now. And it's sunny and warm here. Have wife and kids that need attention. Believe me though I'd love to be messing around with this. This is the smoothest my phone has ever been. Wish I could up the Dpi a bit though. Hard to see some things.

Google Home Launcher. Files and instructions. Should work on most Jelly Bean phones.
Download the files.
1st - PrebuiltGmsCore.apk (Google Play Services) first.
2nd - Velvet.apk (Google Now)
3rd - GoogleHome.apk
Place the lib file in System/lib folder and fix permissions (owner , group and others should be checked under READ)
(ONLY owner should be checked under WRITE)
Reboot.
Thats all I did. If OK Google doesn't work do this.....
Settings - voice - offline speech recognition- install language of choice. I use English. - switch to english UK and perform a search and then swich back to normal language. That shoult make everything functional. If not.....I tried. Works for me!

Nvm got it to work, looks like it has potential, it would be good if we could set our own settings for the drawer and if we could hide certain apps

So when I tried to install PrebuiltGmsCore.apk, it said "application not installed", but I went thru and installed everything else, rebooted and it seems to be working ok. Should I be worried?
This hack is awesome. Makes the ROM 2 x faster.
One other question,
I've noticed on my home screen tile it doesn't have number indicators next to the stock e-mail and SMS icons to show how many items are unread. Is this by design? Any way to fix this?
i believe that is how its designed.. hopefully they will add that feature at a later date
How to make the status bar transparent?
Has anyone been having some random reboots? Seems to happen when the battery gets lower then 10%. Happens maybe once a day.
