And does this one work on Optimus G? And how to install on stock or CM .. just flash as normal?

You do realize it's lg stuff,so it will only on lg framework, not cm/aosp/aokp/miui.
Same is happening with every other manufacturer.what's the point in releasing updates?tu use them with other software?

But how do we install it on stock? Flash it or ...?

Is this a working ROM for E975 with the Value Pack included or is it just the .apk`s from LG Optimus G Pro extracted?
How to flash or install this value pack?

Can we flash this via TWRP or do we have to re-kdz ?
Edit: okay we can't twrp this..

Does it work on E975?

Ok,where in the world did you guys read anything related to G getting this value pack?it's for g pro only.so stop asking when it will work on g.right now it can't even be ported, since g pro has 4.2.2.
We'll have something from those features, but not the full package, but only after the g gets the 4.2 update

To me the phone runs really good on 4.1.2 currently....How was the test OPG with 4.2.2 running? It's the first phone I've purchased with no worry of developemnet support being available currently.
Thanks!

Same here. The phone runs super smooth the way it is. Pick up a spare battery and you're good to go in case of emergency or extreme high usage.

Optimus G Pro Value Pack camera
Hi guys!
Since I'm interested by the LG OG Pro Value Pack features (especially VR Panorama and Dual Camera), I searched for some solutions to install the Value Pack camera on my stock rooted OG runing Android 4.1.2.
I recently discovered main.develoid.com and found in its files, the OG Pro system dump.
I extracted the CameraApp3b APK from the downloaded ZIP and pushed it to /system/app. After a reboot, the LG camera was a little bit different: I have the Panorama and VR Panorama options but unfortunately, when I try to launch them, it crashes.
I think it crashes because of some missing LG libs. The system dump I have could be helpful for anyone having a better experience than mine on Android customization.
Could you please make some tries and give some advice and help ?
Sorry for no posting direct links, I'm new here ! But if I can help you in some other way, say me !

Update to Value Pack but NO OTA
Gentlemen, is there any way to install the "Value Pack" in the LG Optimus G Pro that is NOT OTA? Please ... Help me! I have no AT & T and use my smartphone to another operator, but when I try to update via OTA says I'm not registered and will not let me update

we'll have 4.2 in the next 3 months.too late, since key lime pie is almost on it's way.
but i rather have cm 10.1 fully working, than a bloated and tweaked byblg 4.2

The REAL answer is not Yes or No, it's juste "unkown" until LG release a statement saying anything...

When LG release a firmware, they release a firmware, not just an android update.
Try installing CM10.1 after flashing LG 4.1.2 firmware and you ll see a big difference on battery consumption.
I get 6h of web browsing instead of 4h with the same CM10.1 on the same phone... only thing that changed is the firmware that have been flashed before.
Personnaly I dont think LG will release a 4.2, but I would take it as a firmware update anytime if it gives me another 1.5x battery
I let myself be surprised by LG.
Speculate that, yes or no, brings nothing
In any case, I am very satisfied with the G

yeah, I saw that the battery of every 4.2.2 custom rom is not as good as 4.1.2 stock rom
New to lg, but on samsung, CM is way better than TW and that's a fact.Unfortunatelly lg doesn't have all the support samsung has.It will take some time, but,in the end, CM will be better than lg fw.
LG patches pure vanilla with Gesture UI and adds specific apps(like q-slide)..how do you call that?
All manufacturers do it(samsung with TW, HTC with sense and motorola with motoblur).

My point is : install lg latest firmware before installing CM and you ll see a big difference IN CM
CM and the others are good options for those who don't like LG UI. But I have never been a fan of CM on any of my phones cause it's never perfect!

maybe now,lg roms are better, because cm is still young for our phones.but, with a proper dev team,cm will wipe off lg roms.
imagine, pure vanilla running on g.but there is a long way.unfortunately,lg does not have 5he same support community like samsung

I think LG will release android 5 instead of 4.2, because our G have strong hardware. Now we just pray for it!
lol, KLP will be released later this year.until then, we will have 4.2
My source told me 4.2.2 will be available at the end of may, begining of june. But it's possible to have it earlier.

Optimus g ?

Soo im going to my self a new device tomorow and got my eye on the optimus g and nexus 4
Wich one should i get???
On one hand i get all the latest and greatest and i like the stock android rather than lg's ui and with the optimus g i get LTE and an extra 16 gb of storage...
I also have some concernes... Ive seen complaints on the web about the optimus g overheating.. Any of you experiencing it ?
Lg ui gesture is the most fluid and smooth ui.far better than tw and sense.not so much bloat and most of those apps you will find them useful.we already have 4.2.2,with almost no bugs, but it can be a daily driver.i don't have heating problems and i'm a power user, runing this phone like crazy.didn't notice to get hotter than my previous devices.
The only advantage of n4 is the vanilla.but g is over n4 on every other aspect.better cpu, better camera, bigger storage, even microsd slot in some cases.
Of course the final call is yours.

A stock OG only has 4.1.2 at the moment. You can flash a custom rom after rooting and unlocking and get 4.2.2 though.
I may be wrong but before I flashed a 4.2 ROM yesterday, the last update put me up to 4.1.2.

So far I havent heard anything about it. If you do decide to flash a rom I reccomend http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228880
I've been using it since yesterday morning and its been nothing but awesome. I'm sure you do know that unlocking bootloaders and rooting voids warranty so it is a use at your own risk method.

Very bad support!!!

I have switched from S4 to G Pro E988...But why is support for ROM's soooooo bad???
Also does anyone knows when will LG release 4.2.2 for G Pro?

[Q] Chances of LG updating the G Pro at all?

What do you guys think, will LG even update this phone anymore? to any version, or even another OTA value pack that will bring the cool updated features of the LG G2. The reason I'm asking is because I'm fine with stock right now, but I would love to have the speed boost of a newer version of android, that's the only thing keeping me from rooting and "Roming"? again if they still plan on updating this awesome phone than I have no reason to root and rom. What do you guys think?

If I'm honest, I'd say we MIGHT, slim chance MIGHT, see an update to 4.2. Or maybe just a Value Pack update to bring over some features of the G2.
The advertising for our device was botched, and LG even admitted to it. So, the popularity of this device, isn't as high as it should. I wouldn't expect another update, but then again, LG has surprised me before.
Sent from my Optimus G Pro using Tapatalk
I don't see Lg updating the gpro specially with the Lg g X soon to be out for sell, which is exactly the same phone as the gpro spec wise. I hope Lg proves me wrong but for now Im planning on rooting my gpro rather soon. It's a shame the phone was only an at&t exclusive here in the states or else it would have been much more popular and had more support from at&t.
Is there good support for CM out there? Because of the missing sources I assume, because LG isn't releasing them, I guess.

Yeah download DOT cyanogenmod DOT org/?device=e980&type= there is a stable release for CM 10.2 right now which is 4.3.1. and nightlies for CM 11 which is 4.4.2 or Kit Kat.
And can I flash them if they are not for my device anyway? Because the LG Optimus G Pro isn't supported yet is it?

Another option, if you don't want to flash a custom rom: stock rom + root + xposed framework ☺

There is a leaked version on 4.2.2 China version floating around the forums, but it is way too buggy to try on other variants. We may see an official 4.2.2 update in the near future, but due to US carriers like AT&T who do like like pushing updates to phones that are not their flagship device, we may nit see that update. But, we can only hope and wait.

You can get certain features that are available in custom ROMs such as Nav bars, Advanced power menus, tweaks to the status bar, tweaks to lockscreen, you name it. Be careful though some of these won't be compatible so I suggest using the gravity box module. It has everything you may need
