If your phone has rooted. Then without doubt titanium backup will be your choice. You can back up system app, downloaded app and the *data* (such as your games data)as well. After install new rom you can restore everthing you backup before.
Good luck.

[Q] Restore stock ROM from someone else's CWM backup?

Hello guys!
I made a backup of my Brazilian SGW using CWM from Arco. A fellow XDA member mess up his phone (same model and country) and has no backup of his stock ROM, and needs it.
Can the backup I made from my phone work for him? Which files would I need to send him?
Thanks in advance!

Best advice for you better not to try things if your not sure because if you mess it up then it would be over. before you try something then you should KNOW the DO's and DONT's and you should know how to go back or FIX the problem at anytime.
well...there's FAQ thread here. we should ask any question there, not here. maybe you've seen that there're lot of user who didn't obey it. this is because they want to get a quick responses for their post. nevertheless, most of more experienced user will ignore this kind of post. there's no point asking a question here if you need an answer for an expert.
btw, I'll try to answer your question. kernel is a part of os which used by the program (or OS) to communicate with the hardware or the reverse. it also used to boot up and load the OS to the computer (or device). it controlling the app and the hardware behaviour and setting. the structure is kind of like this.
programs<-->kernel<-->hardware
for an instance, when you use a music player, the music player is transmit the digital data to the kernel, then the kernel send the data to speaker as analog data. the same principal works for another app. you'll need googles help if you want to know much more about kernel.
So can i change kernel on my stock rom dxlc1?can i use maroc?
it has bugs...do it with your own risk

I don't think there are serious bugs if you flashed it on stock rom. For me it's quite stable to use for normal usage. use the latest version
What does it do ?
Are you using it now sir? im not sure if ill use it i dont know how it works.
What do you mean? Im using sd partition and link2sd. so it causes error if i use them ?
BTW bro off topic . when im using link 2sd. and im moving installed apps, and when i install new apps. i check the automatic link? whats the meaning of that linking. thanks

Ok. Thanks. I'll backup this...or perhaps...I'll make stand as they are. Thanks
If you use dsixda's kitchen you can build a Rom out of the backup...but that's unnecessary work

Why not try flashing the Debloat tool after doing a backup of your current setup. That way if you don't like the result you can restore it. Or, a novel idea, post this question in the thread you found the list in...

No matter how the question is worded, these still careen to best-rom threads.
The best rom for your particular description is the one you ultimately find and use. Search the development forums, read the OP of each, and I am certain you will find the one that fits your needs. Thread closed.
