How to Update Galaxy Ace S5830 with Official Gingerbread 2.3.6 with Odin

Update Galaxy Ace S5830 with Official Gingerbread 2.3.6 with ODIN​
Steps:-
As mentioned, the first thing to do is to download Odin and the required update file.
The download link for Odin from the photo link and OPS from photo link.
The download link for the Gingerbread package from photo link.

Extract Odin and the update file on your PC.
On the computer open Odin.
Turn off your handset.
Reboot the Galaxy Ace in downloading mode.
For that press and hold the Volume Down Key and the OK button while pressing on the Power one(total 3keys).
As soon as the device is booted in download mode, you can then connect it with the computer by using its USB cord.
Once the phone is successfully connected, on Odin you should see the “added” message displayed and also the ID:COM section should be yellow now.
If not, try to reinstall the drivers on your PC and redo the above steps.
On Odin click on the “OPS” option and select “Cooper_v1.0.ops” and “One package”.(rename the ops file which we downloaded to cooper_v1.0.ops))
Click on the “One Package” tab and just select the update file which you have downloaded and extracted before (“S5830XWKTM_S5830OXXKT3_S5830XWKT7_HOME.tar.md5”).
Don’t make any other changes on Odin.
Click on “Start”.
Wait for the process to complete the update.
In the end the smartphone will reboot and on Odin you should see the “pass” message displayed.
You can now remove the USB cord.
Important:-
Don't forget this step...
and do the steps which are mentioned above.
(it will take 5 minutes until Pass)
- After that, when it will restart it will not turn on it will keep restarting again nd again so press Power Btn & Ok btn
whn it is restarting again nd again and then recovery mode will open in that select"WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" and do it after tht select "WIPE-CACHE" n do it, if you don't do that step, your phone will keep restarting forever...
-The language is in "Spanish", change in the systems setting(open settings and select locale and text).
Congratulations, this is the end of the tutorial. You have succeeded in installing the official Value Pack XWKTM Gingerbread 2.3.6 OS update on your Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830. Remember that this is the stock ROM so you can apply it whenever you want to restore the warranty or restore the default system on your phone. Its new one which came after DDKQ8(released in feb 2012) and for ur kind info. i hav uploaded ths (XWKTM released in sept or oct. 2012)to understand how to install official update through ODIN..:silly:

XWKTM was released in April 2012 (you can check on samfirmware.com).. I'm not saying that you have done anything wrong, but you could have posted in the correct section and given link to a new version..
And can you tell me what is the difference between your post and the post in this page:

difference is just tht its another site not xda and i have done this process from there nd some wht modification...

I can't keep away from this place its took over my life and IV learned all sorts of stuff and I'm currently building a rom for release in a few weeks so hopefully it will get alot of interest

thts good but Adrenaline rom is the best

Depends on the user really I like roms that look nice and good battery that's why I use miui because of the amount of themes and icons and lock screens you can get for it

Lasts me a day and a half but I only use it for xda and texting with battery apps to help it along

When I press the power key, volume down key and the middle key it comes up as emergency Dload mode ARM9 in a box and a Samsung logo.

HOX KITCHEN BIGGINER TUTORIAL (Dsixda Kitchen)
Well, Hi to ALL, I am Yamil (dragonesdenano) Skydragon team.
The idea of this tutorial is to show how to make your first ROM without using others work, no ramdisk, no full rom, just your work and dedication. Why I am doing this? First reason, My Gtalk is overload of people asking /requesting for help, tips, or pushing me to make a tutorial. Also, I did learn reading a lot, not all people help you when you ask about how to cook a rom when you are nobody, others never answer PM, or just ignore you, I felt all of that when I ´ve started here. Maybe they don’t really know or don’t want to share, but thanks God, a few users are wide opened to help when you need or ask for help, I won´t name who is who, obviously, but we know all XDA sides, and we can live with that.
My first tip is “No matter what, if it is your dream, your wish, never give up, you will face times when nobody helps you, when you will be ignored, when kitchen will gives you unflashable zips, when FC is a tattoo in your Rom, errors in recovery, depression, sadness and more…please never give up, keep pushing the limits till you feel a big smile in your face without looking at yourself in the mirror”

3 where I start first?
a- Install Drivers
b- Install java according to Dsixda kitchen

4 Preparations
Once you have the right working drivers, java installed, kitchen installed and Hox unlocked and cwm recovery ON… you will
a- We need to put the Nandroid Back up in the following directory of our PC, but only Boot.img and System.ext4 files
PATH in windows "Computer/Local Disk C:/Cygwin/Home/Papenko/Kitchen/original_update"
Papenko is my user pc name; you will find yours, don´t worry about it

Run Dsixda Kitchen, type “cd kitchen”, ENTER
Then type “./menu”, ENTER
You will get to this menu
Now we are going to select Option 1: Create Working Folder
Kitchen will show available options or files, so far, we will find only Our nandroid Boot.img and systemExt4 files, so we pick up Option 1 again and press ENTER
After that, kitchen will ask if we want to rename Working folder name, I do never, but it is up to you
Now kitchen will start making a Working folder to work with it later
Once kitchen Ends its task, will offer us to look the working folder details
We accept and it looks like this
In the items you can check if the Working folder has root, busybox and so on… or just can skip this info if you know what you are doing
Now we have set up a working folder, our future rom, but we need to keep going, we just have started.
Here will explain all steps I do every time I cook a rom/base, you may find different way, but I can tell what I do or did.
The First thing I do is to Deodex the rom, you know you can use an Odex rom, but for later use, adding Mods will be a pain or impossible sometimes.
In Main kitchen menu we select Option "0 ADVANCED OPTIONS”
In this new menu you have to select Menu Option 11 “DE-ODEX Files in your rom”
The most important thing is to SET UP API LEVEL to 16, so we select option “v” and type “16”, if you let “15” in Api Level, deodexing may cause all kind of bugs. 16 means android version 4.1.1 Jelly Bean
Once you set up Api level to 16, we can start deodexing our rom. You use Option “b” to Deodex system folder and frameworks folder, we need to do it for both folders.
Kitchen will ask if we want to Save a log cat, so we say yes, then Deodexing starts. Now you have to wait till the task is done. Remember this part takes a time.
Kitchen will looks like this
Here you have to pay attention to the deodexing summary, must say 0* apps Odex remain in both folders “system/app” and “system/framework”. If you find one or more files still odexed, you can ran again the deodexing task, or check API LEVEL if its correct or recheck kitchen installation. But most of the time its OK.
Then we Press ENTER and we go back to ADVANCED OPTIONS menu, here we press 0 to go back to main menu.
We are here again
Now we are going to add root and busybox only.
For adding root we select Option 2
In this menu we have different options, I always select SuperSu chainfire, but again it s up to you ( like Patensas always tell me)
Once task is finish, we press ENTER and we will see again MAIN menu, now it s time to add Busybox.
We select OPTION 3 and press ENTER
Here again, when task ends we press ENTER and go back to Main Menu.
From there we must go to ADVANCED MENU option 0.
Now we will add /data/app functionality and /etc/init.d script support
So we select first Option 13, we press ENTER and will find this
Then, we need to use Option 14 to create Init.d functionallity Folder
so we pick up Option 14 , acept when its Done
Again we ENTER, when task is done we will go back to ADVANCED MENU.
Now its time tell the kitchen to make a working script installation.
We select OPTION 17, converting update-script to updater-script
You will see this window, so we always select OPTION 2 (Edify)
Again, When Kitchen ask to procced, we say YES
Let kitchen works. When it s done, kitchen will give you some tips or semi warnings.
Just say ENTER
Ok, be prepared, we are close to our first base rom!!!
Back again to ADVANCED OPTONS menu, no need to be in principal one, as we have the option to make the rom present also here, We select Option 99
Then we will find this options where we need to select OPTION 1, at least today
Kitchen will ask if we want to optimize all apks, we say YES
Process begins
Once it is over , kitchen will ask if we want to sign the Rom, Here and pay attention, WE SAY NO
Finally Kitchen asks about renaming the Rom, you can say yes or no, only will rename zip Rom.
Once we change or not Rom zip name we will find this image in our kitchen windows
Means we have done all the steps to make our first Stock/base Rom, now we are ready to flash it.
Remember to flash boot.img for Htc One X, this will depend on phone model always.

[ROOT[RECOVERY] Loki + TWRP + Motochopper CASUAL-R527b release:27May13

Thanks to Dan Rosenberg, aka @djrbliss, this device can now be unlocked and CASUAL can make it easy as all get out.
Introduction
CASUAL will guide you through the process. Put your device into “Developer Mode>USB Debugging”. Click the do it button. If you experience a problem, PLEASE USE THE PASTEBIN button to post a log. CTRL+L>Pastebin> come back here and press ctrl+V.
Overview
You will need to download and execute the CASUAL application below. Then click the Do It! button. You need Java. Do you have Java?.
note: if it fails, try turning everything off and back on, then run it again before posting for help, and remember... Log or it didn't happen, CTRL+L->Pastebin.
Windows 32/64 Users: CASUAL will put your device into Download Mode. It will automatically flash everything. If drivers are required, jrloper's CADI (CASUAL Automated Driver installer) will handle it. Make sure you're connected to the internet.
Windows 8 is supported but you must install drivers for Download Mode first. See this post

Help and Troubleshooting
Are you having a problem? First check this post out for remedial troubleshooting. . If that doesn't fix it, then press CTRL+L, press the Pastebin button, come back here and press CTRL+V to paste your log. Don't hit the donate button, that doesn't fix it. Use CTRL+L and then hit Pastebin and paste the log here if you need help. Most problems simply require you to reboot your device or computer or removing and "delete driver" any drivers you installed. If you installed drivers to start with, remove them (and delete driver from device manager), because this device is fully supported natively by Windows and 3rd party drivers cause problems.

This uses @djrbliss 's Loki Exploit. From what I've read TWRP will auto-lok anything you flash. It is practically the same as a bootloader unlock.

i believe this does it all; it will root your phone; unlock the boot loader and install TWRP; the other one you have to have your phone rooted already and then pick which recovery you want to install (cmw or twrp)

cant wait to here some reviews before trying it; give it a day or two to make sure there are no bugs; can you always odin back to factory image?

There will always be the following problems:
User is using a bad USB cable/USB port and something didn't transfer
User has installed bad drivers on the computer and the device won't connect.
User has installed a virus scanner which wipes out the Android exploits before they are deployed to the device.
so just use a good USB cable. Uninstall any drivers you installed "for samsung mobile devices" especially, Disable your virus scanner before downloading CASUAL. I don't think the driver issue will be a massive problem as it is with the other devices because we're not using Odin mode here.

I prefer the KISS method. I'd rather have one known working CASUAL script to maintain and be able to repackage around any errors encountered. One app, one branch. it keeps things simple and there's no explaining necessary. If someone wants CWM, they can use the Android market to install Rom Manager. Otherwise, if there is a problem with TWRP, I can switch to CWM on this device.

I've been following all your hard work Adam, and I just wanted to say thank you. Its nice to see amazing developers stick around when sometimes they are bashed for their work. Thanks!

I also posses a Celkon A119q.
Presently I am working on a ROM with DUAL SIM working & full SIV features such as Full Touchwiz, Air gestures, Swipe in call log to call & message, SIV lock screen, SIV Samsung App Hub, Samsunng S-Voice, Samsung Adapt Sound, Stock Video player with Floating window etc etc.... Trying to add on it Smart Play/Pause in video player like SIV & few other features. Would upload it once done..( IF AT ALL I AM ABLE TO DO IT)

Use the lastest Mobile Uncle Tool, make sure that your phone aready rooted and grant permission
If not, plz use SP Flashtool to flash CWM

I rooted the phone and grant access to mobileuncletools still no go.... Using SP flashtool the battery needs to be removed, which I don't feel confident.......

First of all, you will need Official Stock ROM and SPFT ( SP Flash Tool) to Flash ROM or a part of ROM (CWM, boot, logo...)
I have recored a Video how to use SPFT, you can see on Youtube

1. Remove PIN out of the phone
2. Run Flashtool.exe >> Choose Scatter...txt on Stock ROM Folder
3. Remove Checksum.ini on Stock ROM (because stock recovery.img file will different CWM Recovery)
4.Only tick recovery if you want to flash CWM Recovery. Tick all to flash whole ROM.
5. Click Download
6. Without the PIN, connect USB Cable with your computer
7. Insert PIN later
8. Open Device Manage to check mt65xx Driver
9. Update Driver
10. See the Flashtool RUN
If success you will get notic

Can I flash the whole rom ( S4 custom ) usingthe SP flash tools instead of CWM because im not able to flash this in two ways tried....

I said you have to remove the PIN first
Read it more carefully... felling angry

I did try that. You did not mention whether the phone has to switched off or not

I haven't.. I have always flashed with cwm. When I tried with sp flash tool. It says invalid port.

Sucess Story to Help
Hello Friends,
Disclaimer: Please be informed I am not a developer or an expert in Android, Just a Gadget Freak and would like to test multiple things.
First I was concerned to use SPFT using my new A119Q. However I have succeeded after 7 hours of struggle with the help of XDA forums and Google. Below is the step by step guide how I flashed my Phone with S4 UI enclosed in this POST.
1. Root your Phone using the link provided in Youtube Video posted by nikhil udgata
2. Download the CWM recovery from the first page of this post and place it in the root of your SD card
3. Rename the CWM_LAI to recovery.img [DO NOT USE CAPS] - Learnt it hard way
4. Download the ROM from the list in the first page you would like to Flash.
5. Rename the Zip file to Update.zip
5.Download Mobile Uncle Tools from Play Store [FREE]
5. Flash your recovery using the MobUncle
6. On successful flash, press OK to reboot into recovery [this will reboot into CWM recovery you just flashed]
7. Install the ROM From CWM as you would do any ROM... Wiping Cache etc etc before Installing.....
8. Please make sure to select the update from external SD card [Learnt it after multiple tries]
9. Patience is Key from here, wait for your phone to reboot into the ROM you just Flashed ..

Root of SD card means directly on the SD card and not any folders. example: If you are using windows to place this file.... and if the SD card drive is E: place it directly as E:/recovery.img
if its not on the root folder Mobile uncle will not detect the recovery.img
And for all users.. who wants to know how to use SPTF [On/OFF]... Pin in Vietnamese means Cell. so you have to remove the battery.. which is obviously off

I want to share with you a couple of simple but useful scripts.
Recently, a member asked for help because his young cousin had locked his device when trying to unlock it. As you know there is a way to avoid it, it's doing DATA/FACTORY RESET via recovery... the only problem is that doing this process ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE DELETED and it's really annoying so I created a simple script to avoid this trouble
I created a flashable zip as always
IMPORTANT
This script has been created just to help people, not to harm them!
I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISUSE/FOR IMPROPER USE YOU CAN GIVE THIS SCRIPT. SOLE RESPONSIBILITY LIES WITH THE USER WHICH USES THIS SCRIPT IMPROPERLY.
USES
You can use it if you forget the password or lock pattern to unlock your phone.
If your child or someone without conscience locks your device by mistake.
REQUIREMENTS

CWM
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download the correct file.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Install from sdcard and flash it.
4. Done!, reboot system now.
5. Now you can go to settings and set new type of lock

Yes it should work because the pattern or password file is saved at the same path in android devices (at least in Samsung devices that I know ....) , but you can do a backup first (just in case) if you want to try it and report then

In S5830i General, this Tool is available too for any android devices.
But this one for unrooted phone. I don't have test it before. I not sure It's work on rooted phone or not.

...AHAM. my flashable zip files are easier to use than this method even you don't need to manage any kind of file (It's really dangerous if you are a noob and you don't know what are you touching )
I think my flashable zips might work without root too, but I didn't test it. It contains a simple lines that don't require the full installation of Buxybox, so it should work

I think there is a bit difference is your title remove lock pattern and password? The pin is available or not? .
You need manage back name and rename like this, How to remove lock pattern, password and pin from your device. :angel:

USES
You can use it if you forget the password or lock pattern to unlock your phone.
If your child or someone without conscience locks your device by mistake.
REQUIREMENTS
Root
CWM
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Download the correct file.
2. Boot into recovery.
3. Install from sdcard and flash it.
4. Done!, reboot system now.
5. Now you can go to settings and set new type of lock

It's a bit different for Android 9.x and Android 10
What do you want to remove? your lockscreen? or fingerprint?
