[MOD] Android Stock Lockscreen for JM8,JPH,JPK,JM9,JPM,JPA,JP6

Notes:
I'm posting this for those who are in JM8 and want a vanilla lockscreen but are stuck

Always good idea to backup the file first before doing this
Highly recommend enable USB Debugging just so when something goes wrong you can restore from backup using ddms
Disclaimer: DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK (haven't tried it on other 2.1 roms that's why I specified JM8 on the title. You might want to test it on other 2.1 rom tho if you know what you're doing, just DIAYR)
To install:
Need Root
Need Root Explorer (or similar caliber)
Navigate to /system/framework
Backup existing android.policy.odex (.jar for those using deodexed mods) to PC (either bluetooth, or SD then PC)
Before proceeding...
If you're using a deodexed firmware (applied DocRambone's or Tayutama's or other deodex mod), or you can't find the android.policy.odex file in your framework folder, use the .jar rar
If you're using an untouched firmware (you can see the android.policy.odex file) in the framework folder, use the .odex rar
Extract the rar, put to sd, copy or overwrite inside /system/framework
Reboot
Update 2: Added for JPH
Update 3: Added for De-odexed jar versions
Update 4: Added "menu button" fix for all attachments except android.policy.odex.jm8.rar (sorry guys, you understand how tedious it is to flash back to jm8 just to do this don't you?). You could perhaps do this step yourself to re-odex them yourself and patch the signature. dexopt-wrapper and busybox (from market, or built-in from latest BackfireNL root) needed.
rename your original odex file you backed up to "android.policyo.odex" and copy that to /system/framework
rename your original .jar file you backed up to "android.policyo.jar" and copy to /system/framework
extract android.policy.jar from deodexed-jm8.android.policy.jar.rar and copy to /system/framework
extract and copy dexopt-wrapper to /system/framework
delete patched.odex and existing android.policy.odex if it exists in /system/framework
do this in ADB or terminal app
$ su
# cd /system/framework
# ./dexopt-wrapper android.policy.jar patched.odex /system/framework/core.jar:/system/framework/ext.jar:/system/framework/framework.jar:/system/framework/android.policyo.jar:/system/framework/services.jar
# bb dd if=android.policyo.odex of=patched.odex bs=1 count=20 skip=52 seek=52 conv=notrunc
rename patched.odex to "android.policy.odex"
delete existing android.policy.jar (this is deodexed, greather than 100k size)
rename android.policyo.jar to android.policy.jar
reboot
if it's working (it should), send it to this thread as attachment so i can add it to the first post with your name

I've overwritten both files and rebooted with Root Explorer, but still standard lock screen?
EDIT, Just added the other file again and it works fine, must not have overwritten it! Great!

if you're using a de-odexed version of the firmware (applied docrambone's or tayutama's mods or other), or you can't find a android.policy.odex file in your framework folder, use only the .jar rar attachment.
if you're using an untouched firmware or you can see the android.policy.odex file, you need to use ONLY the .odex rar attachment as it depends on the original .jar file.
now if you could restore from your backups please and start it again, i'm updating the first post instructions

I've got it now, I am using an untouched firmware with Ryanza's Lag Fix and Root. Works fine now. I will make a video on ''how to'' later on.

this method isn't about extracting the lockscreen, but instead replacing it with the vanilla one

Could You add this:
If you want to disable the menu key then do this while you still are working on the .smali files:
1. Open LockScreen.smali and find the .method shouldEnableMenuKey()
2. Change "return v4" so it reads "return v6"
3. Save file

i'm sharing the lockscreens I patched on the f/w that I used at the time of build. It's tedious to build for each of all of the leaked releases, so those who aren't in the f/w i mentioned might have to run to the credited threads on the first post and do it themselves

I've added italian/deutch/french/Russian language and deoxeded... I've also removed a lot of stuff..
Make your backup before!
1) Download kernel and nandroid backup (you must unzip the nandroid backup), put these files on your sd card and reboot into recovery.
Make your backup...
2) Install kernel http://www.mediafire.com/?w6963rmkvdqmro1 If you have Argentinian 2.3.6 DON't install any kernel, remain with yours!
3) Unzip and put under /clocwordmod/backup/ this folder http://www.mediafire.com/?17e0ao02xx2p1gs and restore from clockwordmod choosing backup/restore and choose restore
4) Wipe all data
5) Reboot and now you can choose your language ...
6) Wait... I suggest you to disable auto rotation and all animations....

choose your apk that you want modify/traduce (before you must put this in "place-apk-here-for-modding")

then go in project folder and modify your apk decompressed
then search in the same folder apktool.yml, open and modify with notepad from:

Yes! You can see in the zip files!!
You must replace as you can see in the instructions...
Copy to /system, set permission to rw-r-r then MOVE not copy to /system/app and replace the oldest...
In the next days I'll do the other files and you can replace in the same steps...

EDIT: i read on the net that the calendar on 2.3.4 has a major bug: you cant edit or create birthdays! is it possible to put a deodexed calendar from 2.3.6 in the rom to fix this?

It consists of editing some lines in framework-res.apk which you can extract from your ROM zip (/system/framework) or by using this command with adb (With phone connected via USB)

1 - Download and extract Framework Toolkit, then place your framework-res.apk inside [place-apk-here-for-modding] folder.
2 - Run Apk-Multi-Tool.bat as administrator, press any key to enter options menu, then use option (9) to decompile the apk
3 - Head to [projects] folder > res

a) Enabling USB Mass Storage:
- Now you are in [res] folder, go to [xml] folder, open [storage_list.xml] with an xml editor
- The 4th line looks like this:

5 - Save and exit, go back to main folder, re-open Apk-Multi-Tool.bat, this time use option 11 to compile the edited apk
6 - After it's done compiling it will ask you if you want to add some more files, reply with n
7 - Close Apk-Multi-Tool, run Create_zip.bat as administrator, read on-screen instructions it's very simple
8 - After it's done successfully you can collect your flash-able zip from [final-zip-here] folder
9 - Move the zip to your sd card and flash it via CWM Recovery, reboot, if you enabled USB Mass Storage make sure to change connection
method from MTP to Mass Storage in System Settings
10 - Use ##Cleanup.bat to cleanup all folders (Important if you want to use it again)
Important Do NOT use this toolkit with any other apk, just framework apk

Just follow the video instructions (link in post) and you shouldn't face any problems, the steps include signing the APK and everything,
I use this script myself and no problems. If you have any further problems or questions just let me know, I'll be happy to help.
You can send me your framework-res.apk if you want me to mod it for you.

auto rotate lockscreen
i try this method to change my xperia sola JB A.1.100 framework-res.apk
to make auto rotate lockscreen like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525045
after compiling (step 6), i got system_framework-res.apk and the size is same with the original,about 13Mb
but after i run Create_zip.bat, the flashable zip size only 6Mb.
after i flash from CWM, my phone stuck at bootscreen
is it normal that the file size change?
i try alot of method to decompile/compile framework-rest.apk and always stuck at bootscreen

the file size of the apk should become smaller yes

if your ROM is odexed this won't work because the apk needs to be signed with the original build key. so this method only works for deodexed ROMs.

Instructions
Create a nandroid backup
FOR TWRP USERS
• First download the update.zip , flash it via twrp
• Download the TWRP ROM file . It is a rar file.. please don’t flash it just like that
• Extract it. Copy the folder “ XTREME ROM TWRP” to /sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/IQ446_MT6589/ ( copy it in IQ446_MT6589 FOLDER )
• If this doesn’t exist create one.. with same path
• Go to TWRP .Select Restore -> Select SD card as your source.(If it is selected as internal storage or emmc) The backup should appear. Restore!
FOR CWM USERS
• FIRST BACKUP YOUR INTERNAL STORAGE BECAUSE THIS WILL ERASE IT ALL ( NOT MY MISTAKE..PROBLEM WITH CWM)
• Flash the update.zip via CWM.
• Download the CWM ROM file. It is a rar file.. please don’t flash it just like that
• In you External SD card /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ copy the 2012-10-12.23.20.00 folder here. ( copy it in backup FOLDER )
• Go to CWM -> backup and restore -> restore and Restore it!
GAMING MODE : This increase your FPS and improves gaming. Use this if you feel the gaming as it is isn’t good
• Open Terminal Emulator
• Type the following command
su
sh –c hyper
Let the Terminal Emulator be running.. Minimize and go play your game
• Your are done… Enjoy the Gaming
• This drains battery . So after gaming .Restart Your Mobile
NOTE :
1.Guys I seriously recommend TWRP over CWM .Download it from the below link
Install Mobile Uncle Tools. Copy the recovery.img to root of your sdcard. Open Mobile Uncle Tools click recovery update and select the recovery
2. Font lite changer works fine. But be careful some fonts can cause bootloop. It is not the problem with the app. I checked with iFont too. Some fonts cause bootloop no matter what app you use.

Hey for those of you who didnt find much change in the gaming mode .. here is another script which can improve your gaming .
1) Download the game file from the below link
2) With a help of rootbrowser copy it to /system/bin
3) Set the permission as rwrx-xr-x ( Select first column all three , next column only the first box and in third column select all three)
4) Go to terminal emulator . Type the following code
su
sh -c game

1) Why not flashable.zip?
A: I like stuff to work once it installed. It is to reduce your people work.
2) Does gaming mode really work?
A: Yes, at least for it me it did, although I don’t play heavy games. I tried with benchmark apps and they showed improvement
3) Is gaming mode must to play games at high fps?
A: Not necessarily, try with normal mode. If it is fine, go ahead or try gaming mode.
4) Can I copy this post to other forum ?

Hey Shikhar.. Great ROM by the way. Provided just the right flexibility required outta a noob.
I believe the script you posted keeps running in the back ground once invoked thru the command u provided.
Is there a way to stop the running of that script. I'm currently trying to find a command that reduces battery drain as I'd be travelling in a few weeks.

Well this my very old ROM, but even then it runs hyper cola script . The only way to stop it is to reboot. I havent been developing lately but you can still check my other ROM
