[Q] Xperia S Bricked? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

I was using XZXperience 2 on my Sony Xperia S, and then sony companion detected that i had firmware 6.1.A.1.45 and 6.1.A.55 was available, so just to give it a try, I installed that update, but that is a failed update, it says unfortunately music player stopped working, or unfortunately xperia keyboard stopped working etc. The main problem is that my system does not recognize my XS anymore, it says USB Device Not Recognized, so I cant connect it to Flashtool or PC Companion for repair. The Sad part is that I cant even connect it in Flash Mode, I tried a hard reset by using power button and volume up buttons, but no use. I should mention that once it recognized my phone when i turned off my laptop and removed its battery too, after restarting both phone and laptop, flashtool detected that phone was connected with USB Debugging OFF, though it was on, but as a try, I unchecked USB Debugging and then checked it again, and it worked. Now my Xperia S was connected in USB debugging mode, I tried to install busybox, rooted it, and tried to install CWM recovery, flashtool said that busy box was installed and phone was rooted, but it could not install recovery and I used another tool to install recovery, which had a bat file and it installs recovery automatically. But it didnt. After restarting my phone, the same issue appeared again, My PC does not recognize my Xperia S, tried previous procedure several times, but no use. Cant even repair it as my set cant go in flash mode. What can I do? have I bricked my Xperia S? I`m in Pakistan and there is no official Sony Mobile franchise as they dont launch their flagships in Pakistan. Please help me, considering I`m used to with rooting, flashing etc. How can I connect my phone in flash mode? Thank you.

C:/flashtool/driver
Open usb_driver.exe
Choose all the drivers you need (Xperia S drivers, flashmode driver & fastboot mode driver)
Your laptop should be able to detect your phone now.

[Q] Problems with SEUS

Hi - more questions, but this time its a problem I'm having. Before flashing the latest O2 UK firmware I want to decrypt my current Orange France 2.3.2 firmware in case I need to go back to it. However, I'm assuming that I need to connect with SEUS once (and possibly update whatever they have) so I can then find the current firmware files in the SEUS folders on my PC.
Anyway, the long and short of it is that when I am told to hold the back button while connecting the phone, NOTHING HAPPENS. I've tried loads of times, tried reinstalling SEUS, nothing. Some drivers started to install, and all seems OK there - no yellow triangles in device manager. Also installed PC Companion (automatically offered when I connected the phone with it turned on). It installed drivers then too. All fine. I tried using a different USB cable too - no luck.
Any clues ?? Searched Sony Ericsson site and it is bare of useful info. Did a search here too but no luck either.
Thanks in advance.
and you followed the instruction as they say:
1. switch off the phone
2. wait for 30 seconds or so (pref. remove the battery and insert it)
3. hold the back button
4. insert usb..
it should detect the phone no matter what. i hope there is some juice in battery...
I've heard that SEUS and PCC now are able to detect rooted phones and don't let you reinstall stock software. It needs the stock build.prop
Thanks for the replies. I have been pulling my hair out on this. I realised that it is to do with my SECM USB Flash drivers being faulty or something.
I tried to use PC Companion and it got to the same bit where SEUS crashes - right when it wants to get in to flash mode on the phone. It hangs the computer up.
I have googled like crazy and have seen reports of others PCs hanging at the same place. BUT, I can't find a way to repair or reinstall the USB Flash drivers - I've reinstalled SEUS and PC Companion plenty of times, with my anti-virus off. And tried to get in to flash mode with the anti virus off.
Problem I think I had is that a lightning storm stopped my first installation of PC Companion - I think it may have screwed something.
Any ideas how to fix the usb flash drivers ???
Have you tried de-installing SEUS and PCC, then in device manager search for and remove the USB Drivers for SEMC.. then reboot.. then re-install SEUS..
??

Thanks - tried that but no luck unfortunately. Couldn't even see anything in Device Manager to do with SEMC, SEUS or Sony Ericsson - was looking under USB Controllers. When I did a full search I did find plenty of traces of the drivers GGSEMC (Gordons Gate Flash USB drivers) in both system32 folder and in the Sony Ericsson folder left over after uninstalling SEUS. Didn't want to just delete the ones in system folders.
you could try doing the "update driver" operation - my driver was called Sony Ericsson seechri (or something like that!).... see if you can repair..
Perhaps you could try on ur friends pc. Just to confirm that seus is the problem.
SOLVED (sort of)
Thanks for the advice.
OK - I tried on another machine (why didn't I do that 6 hours earlier ). Works fine on Win7 64 bit. Maybe the drivers didn't get installed properly on Win XP ?? Going to have a go rolling back to an earlier restore point on the XP machine to see if I can get it working.
Anyway, SOLVED. Thanks

[Q] Computer doesn't see Xperia Arc after rooting/unrooting.

/*Hello everyone.
I have rooted my Xperia Arc with EasyRoot tool, everything worked just fine, but the next day my computer doesn't see my phone anymore. I unrooted the phone, did a factory reset, but no results. The usb connecting/disconnecting sound plays, the phone is charging, but I can't access the sd card from the computer.
How could I possibly fix that?
PC Companion begins to look for the phone, but at some point it says it cannot locate it.
The pc companion also recognizes the phone if I connect in MSC, but MTP gets no response.
Edit2:
Uninstalled PC companion, unmounted SD card, checked "Install PC companion", reconnected the phone to the pc, gave me a message that drivers weren't installed correctly.
To be exact, MTP USB Device Failed.*/
Edit3:
Solved.
deleted MtpApp was the problem.
That's what you get for being new to this I guess...

Just install SUS and PCC for drivers

Or confirm your system. Is it a 64Bit or 32Bit OS, then use proparity Flashtool.
while you'll find all this info littered around the forum; i'll try to run down the exact order to install stuff...at least the order that worked for me...as flashtool, and your phone, seem to fight windows pretty hard at points...
this is all assuming a fresh start...uninstall the device, flashtool, etc if you have to: also this is for an Ion, but it works pretty much the same i'm assuming.
phone ON, MTP connectivity selected; connect to PC with usb cable. Don't touch anything at first. Windows should find and recognize both the internal and external flash drives of the phone (depending on device), and install necessary drivers. If you're using flashtool, i'd suggest not even bothering with the installation of PC companion. PCC will fight flashtool in some cases when connecting the phone, so if you do install it be sure and turn it off when connecting with flashtool.
Set all your autoplay settings to 'do nothing' or 'take no action' when prompted. This too will help prevent windows from trying to do multiple things when you connect with flashtool running.
now unplug the phone, turn it OFF...while holding the phone volume button DOWN...reconnect the usb cable and continue holding the button. This is where i get different results depending on what machine i'm using. My home computer gives a prompt for new hardware which eventually turns into 'SEMC flash driver installed'. My work computer prompted 'S1 Boot Driver installed'...in either case...flashtool would NEVER work right until one of these showed up...and in my case, trying to get this driver to install with flashtool running simply wasn't happening.
if that works, move on...you may have to keep trying that a few times, though. If the green LED light on the phone immediately turns off and the phone attempts to charge, you'll probably have to try again. For whatever reason windows doesn't always react the same, so it takes some patience.
Next install flashtool like normal. After that, find the usb_drivers.exe and run it. Regardless of phone, i just installed everything listed (even though, for my Ion, not one of them specifically says xperia Ion or LT28...)
after that...reboot computer
Now you should be good to go. I run AVG free on both machines, and it never seemed to fight flashtool, but some have said some anti-virus software will interfere...
load up flashtool, select your firmware (i'm assuming you've read how to do all that)...select what you want to do...connect phone with volume down pressed...hold until the flashing starts...and you should be fine.

[Q] Unable to flash bricked Xperia Acro S

Can I get some help guys? My phone got bricked after I stupidly installed Chainfire3D, the phone is in a boot loop state for now.
My phone's firmware version is 6.1.A.2.55 and I have an unlocked bootloader, my CWM was gone after flashing 6.1.A.2.55 before but my phone is unlocked and it's USB Debugging is turned ON before I bricked it.
After 2 days of researching, here's what I've got (and tried):
My phone's vibrator is not functioning so I don't know how many times my phone vibrate when I hold Power + Volume Up.
My phone's USB port is faulty, it charges but it can't be recognized on a computer then I found a guide here on the forum about cleaning the USB port using a toothpick, and I think it's working fine now.
I am using Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and I found out that there are issues regarding the ADB drivers, I tried some solutions I found online but my phone is still not detected.
I installed a bootable Windows 7 SP1 64-bit on a external HDD and tried to use Flashtool there. I installed the Fastboot, Flash Mode, Xperia Acro S drivers from C:\Flashtool\drivers and still my phone is not detected.
I tried to install Flashtool again from my girlfriend's computer, Windows 7 64-bit, my phone is detected in Flash Mode but can't stay there for long, it will exit Flash Mode then goes to charging, unlike in Fastboot wherein it stays there.
Tried installing Flashtool again from my mom's computer and borrowed her USB cable, it stays in Flash Mode then I tried to flash LT26w_1265-3909_6.1.A.2.55_GENERIC-user_CUST_1266-3278_R4G from there, but it stops with an error Error processing loader.sin, again I did some research about it and then I tried flashing it again, but this time Flashtool didn't gave me an error but it stops at Checking header right after Processing loader.sin
I also tried to flash only the kernel.sin on Fastboot mode but the Flashtool crashed.
Again, from my mom's computer, I installed Sony PC Companion, it was detected as Xperia Acro HD but my mom's computer don't have internet so I wasn't able to try to repair from there.
I also have another question, could it be that my USB port is not functioning? Are there any other methods to make my USB function again aside from bringing it to a service center?

Instead of trying to install rom, try installing cwm, then if cwm is installed and working, you can use that to flash zip through sideload from pc.

Okay sir I will try your suggestion, thanks. Can I install CWM using an SD card?
By the way, I brought my phone at the Sony Service Center here, they told me that they can not repair my phone since their computer couldn't detect it and the phone's problem is the motherboard. My phone has dents on it, so I'm pretty sure that they used it as a reason. And also, they told me that my phone was rooted. I was so frustrated because I know that my phone's problem is the USB since the phone charges and goes into bootloop after installing Chainfire3D.

[Q] Can someone provide me a guide how to root my T3??

I think i'm not the only one who wants to root the T3. There are many guides which are very complicated for people who are no software developers...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-t3/general/root-firmware-18-1-1-21-t2889847
If this is too complicated then probably you shouldnt even consider rooting - procedure cant be any easier. There isnt also any other way to root T3 ATM.
And yes, this works also with .25 (4.4.4 KK). And for different ver. of T3 (5102 for example) use software for your model as base.

I think I know what to do. Can i use the sony Emma thing as the flash tool?

I've installed adb drivers fastboot drivers and successfully flashed the .14 kernel then switched on the phone and trying to root using Xperia rootkit is not detecting my device and stuck like this(as shown in the screen shot) what to so and PC companion is also not detecting my t3 (but while am on .32kernel it works fine)
I've flashed the .32kernel (cause am on 4.4.4) again and repeated everything but same problem,, redownloaded the kernels but same problem,,
Why rootkit is not detecting my phone ??? Plz help
need help
While m on .14 kernel rootkit or PC companion were not able to detecting my phone. On switched off state(.14kernel) flash tool displayes that the USB debugging is off and the phone is connected in mtp mode..
But before flashing .14 kernel(while am on .32kernel) I turned on USB debugging and set the USB connection mode to MSC mode (otherwise flashtool wouldn't flash kernel)... So why am facing this problem???...
After flashing .14 kernel I switched on the phone and wait at least 10 minutes then (the screen shots only Sony logo and goes black) after ten minutes when I connect the phone to the PC and lunch rootkit its not detecting showing waiting for device PC companion is also not detecting:crying:...... What to do now

Hi. Before you flash .14 you need to enable usb debugging in your phone, connect it to your pc via usb cable and check the "allow always..." checkbox in your phone:
P.D. If the popup is not showing when you plug your phone, then open a terminal (cmd in windows), launch adb devices command and you should see the popup in your device. If does not, unplug the phone, stop adb, plug the phone again and try launching adb command.
did it
