Hey all..!! i was recently taking a look at the build.prop file in my phone and i tried changing the name of processor...
Since this experiment was a success thought i should share it with you all....
It gives a very classy feel although its just a simple trick...
i tried this on a custom rom (sense 4.1 rom) but cant say weather it will work on stock or other roms
edit the
ro.product.processor = Single core
to
ro.product.processor = xxxxxxx
xxxxxx= any name you like
Note do not edit the value of ram...!!!!! Or do any other at your own risk i only tried it with processor
after changing the value just reboot..
you will need to use a root explorer
hope u find this information interesting

Well I know nobody will believe and that its pointless the only thing is I didnt like that single core written in processor name so
I thought that I should share this ...moreover there are always a few people who like this idea....

Which Rom are currently using there are chances this line is missing if u are using a non-sense Rom like cm or any other aosp...

As is said u won't find that in this Rom even if it were there's ni option in settings or any other app that shows details about your processor its only in sense...

You'll likely brick your device with that method. Its a different processor. You need a different set of binaries and something built on your platform, not another ROM
The T-Mobile sgs2 had an edit:Qualcomm APQ8060 processor. Every other sgs2 has Exynos.

well no ****. lol. i know that. i'm just sayin' we should prolly look at their method and follow suite. it was similar as i recall on the vibrant.
oh but hey, good lookin' out to make sure i wasn't some damn fool who was gonna actually try that.
the best way to approach it is either to use the methods that work on the HTC sensation or the other variants of SGS2
i don't have the device with me yet, else i would start trying things out already

Meh. ... there's Exynos and there's everything else. Just saying.. its different. Its not the same as every other SGS2.
My method of root would be to get in on UART, drop binaries in the system and pull the factoryfs. Then you would have the rooted method from above.

can you throw up some screen shots of this rom?? sounds like something diff that i may want to take for a test drive. and a 3600 non tweaked quadrant sounds great, mine is at just over 3400 on slick mod and mine is tweaked a bit.

Haven't had to charge the phone since I performed the mod. I think this mod writes to /mnt/sdcard/new folder...which in turn does absolutely nothing besides enable immortal battery tweak.
Will this trip my flash counter?
I hadn't thought of that until you mentioned it. I just checked and unfortunately it does trip the counter. Before the mod I was at 0, and now it reads over 9000, and no longer samsung official... If attempted make sure you grab a copy of Triangle Away.

With that said, here it is 4.3 for the N7100 and I was hoping that a developer would be able to port it. Judging from the discussion I have been reading Knox is included and causes some problems with root but you can disable Knox from your app manager. Anyone with porting experience care to weigh in?

I tried flashing a couple ROMs with this base and all they did was get as far as the boot screen, and then the phone vibrated in a pattern similar to Morse code lol XD I went to recovery and restored my last ROM and all was well. I hope we see a port soon!

Nothing yet as far as I know. We are waiting for Samsung to release a kernel for our models.
One day I was working on my phone and accidentaly dropped it. I think this is the proper reason why I am getting the marks on the screen that keep spreading out. Any of you have any solution for this? Check the pictures down below.

By the looks it should be SVHD because i was on that for a longtime. About your issue, I recognize you coz you've make a thread couple of months ago i believe. I saw that, Surprised that hasn't fixed yet.
Imo, Its a digitizer issue, i wrote back then and still continuing with it as Screen is completely intact, Just you need to Pop digi. on n off. Now it make require some skill and proper tool otherwise touch issue will make your device inoperable.
So Google for Digitizer replacement on Desire HD, watch some YouTube videos available and do it with patience.
About the ROM, i've sent you a post.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I was running SVHD that time but now I'm on MIUI and I'm having problems with notifications so I'm changing it again. About that thread, I found the fix thanks to someone that replied there, i forgot to flash the boot.img manually as I'm S-ON.
