No,I'm using your custom rom now.It succeeded in stock ics but failed in your rom.The cmd says OK,but the soft buttons leds don't light up

Why should it removed immediately? The one can't enter recovery mode and blackscreen in system boot, i thought it because the init.d support from Pimp my ROM (this time i use the beta release and i'm not sure with its init.d add options)

[Q] Xperia arc s boot loop help!

My arc s went into a boot loop after i replace the ICS software buttons (framework-res.apk) using root explorer and forgot to change it's permissions... =(
Is there anyway to enter recovery mode or root explorer using the pc so i can flash the zip or change the permissions there without booting the phone?
Do you have cwm installed? Are you able to access it? Just adb shell into it and chmod the file to the correct permissions, or you could just replace the original.

you mean recovery mode? (power plus vol down)
EDITED : I'm not sure did i install CWM... is there anyway to install it through pc? or change permissions through pc?
This thread contains the tutorial for going into CWM without installing it, and I just copy the most important part out
Copied from vaibhavknockout's thread
--------------------------------------------------
2. – Download attachments below titled recoveryARC.img and RootXperia.zip. Thanks to jlmcr87 and his post. Copy and paste the file recoveryARC.img to the fastboot folder (folder containing fastboot.exe). Also, transfer the file RootXperia.zip 'as it is' to your SD card.
3. - Open the fastboot folder. Right click on the folder background while pressing shift key on windows PC. Click "Open command window here".
4. - A black cmd window will open. Type in the following command - "fastboot.exe boot recoveryARC.img".
5. - Switch off your phone, connect to the USB cable while holding the menu button (rightmost of the three buttons on Arc). A blue led should light up (It is an indicator of entering in fastboot mode).
6. - Let the process run. Look at the cmd window. If it says the process is complete, remove the USB cable.
7. - On your phone, a menu should appear. This is Clockworkmod/ CWM recovery menu (more about this in later questions). Use volume down key to go to 'install zip from SD card' and enter by pressing camera button.
-----------------------------------------------------
After going into CWM, flash the zip containing the framework-res.apk to reboot

try with flash tool installing the factory android, or another room that you are sure works on your phone. Maybe its a prob with the room. wiping all is the safest way but if you are sure its just the room you can uncheck the wipe data box and it will work.
hope it helps
Flash the original the factory image ftf file using flash tool. Then start all over again root, cwm, flash rom

That should only happen if your bootloader is locked and you tried flashing a custom kernel.
I would just go with pcc and "repair" the phone.

Hello.
Me too.
I can not install your update.
I allocated it into the sd card, I started the recovery, but it gave me out "installation aborted" .
I tried to install the cwm recovery with nokia x manager (with the right drivers and everything as you said), but the process hangs at nokia initial logo , and is necessary to remove the battery (after 60 min) for restart the phone. Nokia flash , however, if I try to install it on windows professional 32 bit ( the only windows I have, because I use linux) , tell "is not an application for 32-bit" .
Thanks for your work.

I apologize for my error but I had write on the wrong thread.
I have not tried the solution proposed here , I tried the solution proposed in the other thread, with the update 1.2.4.1 .
Unfortunately they were open both and I responded to the wrong one.
I hope you will forgive me and especially yoann44 .
I can not download the package because i think that in my country is impossible to pay . I continue to put the code but says it is wrong.
Nor with safari or google chrome I can finish the procedure.
How can I do?
I don't understand about what are you saying, I think you phone is full brick if you are unable to enter in Bootloader Mod, so check your productcode and discribe you problem
Just Download and Follow the Guide from Below Links if you are able to enter in bootloader mode (Half Brick). Otherwise claim you warranty.

Ok now I tried it but without success.
I have done everything.
However :
1) "done" it never arrived even after half an hour
2 ) I repeated the operation
3 ) at the end everything is back (hopefully) normal without root
For me, this method does not work: installation aborted.

[Guide][Root] How To Root Marshmallow (SM-G920P) *Updated*

Hey guys, I decided to update the thread in hopes of clearing confusion.
Currently I've found two methods of rooting that seem to help people.
Method 1 - E.K IT Services: ekitservices.com currently run by senior member @djerick3 *Not a sponsorship*
Method 2 - CF-Auto Root: Very simple and easy to use, all you need a:
Windows PC (7 - 10)
USB Cable
Step 1 - Download CF-Auto Root for the SM-G920P.
Step 2 - Using either adb (adb reboot download) or hardware keys (turn the device off and hold in Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button once prompted, press Volume Up)
Step 3 - Plug the device into the PC and open the included Odin in the CF-Auto zip
Step 4 - Click the "AP" button and choose the included md5 file
Step 5 - Make sure to check the "Option(s)" tab and make sure only "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" are checked. Then switch back to the main tab and press start.
Step 6 - Wait as CF-Auto Root will begin to boot and root, note that the process can take while. Upon rebooting you should have the SuperSU app (Note. If its not there, you can find it HERE)
Step 6 - Enjoy
< ----- Optional - TWRP Install ------ >
As of right now, current TWRP releases are not working on marshmallow. Lucky though @ram9200 created a custom version of the tool that should work
Step 1 - Download the TWRP Tar file
Step 2 - Boot back into Odin mode and flash via Odin on your PC (use the "AP" tab once more)
Hope this helps:good: as always though, of you need help feel free to to send me a PM

Hey guys, after all the confusion on rooting 6.0.1, I decided to throw together a guide real quick (hope this helps)
To do this, you will need:
TWRP (This is a special version only for the Sprint SM-G920P and is meant to be flashed with Odin)
SuperSU 2.68
Odin
Steps)
1) Boot your device into download/odin mode (adb reboot download) or (while the device is off hold home+power+volume down then you will be taken to a light blueish screen saying "Warning", just press volume up)
2) Once your device is in download/odin mode, plug it into your windows PC and open Odin then in odin, click the "AP" button then find where you downloaded the TWRP .tar and press start
3) After that, your device should reboot into the system, if present use "adb reboot recovery" if you don't have adb, turn the device off and hold home+power+volume up and your should get some red text in the upper left hand corner then you should be brought to TWRP where you can flash SuperSU (to get SuperSU onto your device, you can use TWRP's built in MTP function or use adb, I recommend using adb but TWRP's MTP is also good (to enable MTP, click on the "mount" button then make sure to tap the "Cache","Data" and "System" buttons, if your PC does not detect the device, tap "Disable MTP" then tap "Enable MTP". Then your device should be detected where you can then move SuperSU to your device and flash it,

Help
Same issue here. when recovery is booted. blue update screen then original recovery. OEM is on
---------- Post added at 05:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:39 AM ----------
im getting the blue updateing as well. then goes to original recovery/ OEM is on
unchecked the auto reboot and followed directions and am now rooted. Thanks!
This worked for me! Thank you so much!
A few modifications to the overall guide:
a. Turn on OEM unlock (I forgot to do this first)
2. Turn off auto-boot in ODIN (I needed to do this, as TWRP would not load the first time)
d. Move SuperSU zip folder to phone (same as other methods)
Now just need a good custom ROM...
I unchecked auto-boot in Odin and turned on OEM unlock, but it isn't working. I boot into download mode and apply the TWRP, but it is just stuck in download mode with the white bar at like 99% complete. It doesn't hit 100%. I forced my phone off and then booted into recovery right after and now my recovery mode is a white screen. Not really sure what to do.

Official Jui Nougat stable beta - Cool1 dual

Rom download: https://cloud.mail.ru/public/5mxC/FNwvnWc4g
Password for unraring: coolpadJUI2017
Extract it in some folder.
Download only Patch, drivers and twrp install from here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B5vyMGZJJmcnbVUtT3A2UVFtS2M
Than install coolpad assistant from the very first one it has a lot of chines words and its and .exe fail u cant miss, and coolpad setup from the driver folder. After that go to "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ yulong" and install everything that is installable. After that start phone in fastboot mode which is when turn off phone and connect it to pc with usb cable while holding volume and volume down, after that red LED will blink. Or u can go to fastboot trough twrp recovery and find option bootloader confirm it with volume up and there u are. Start coolpad assistant that u installed, browse init.cpb and click check after that and installation will start, w8 it to finish. After that u need to install twrp which u download, start phone again in fastboot, but now using volume up and volume down option cos u dont have twrp anymore( its because JUI needs another one). start MIflash and browse folder TWRP, click refresh and tap on ur phone, its the only option u cant miss click flash. After it is done go to twrp standardly by pressing power button and volume up. Set english language. Go to install folder and Zip file from patch folder. Of course before that u need to transfer it to ur phone.. This patch is important. If u dont install it, it wont boot second time when u reboot phone.
After that download gapps from here : http://opengapps.org/ arm64, 7.1 and aroma check. Go to twrp install and select gapps click flash, Click "Next" - "Customized installation". Uncheck "Load choices". Select "Include" and tick application u want. After clicking finish Click the Home button, go to "wipe" - "advanced wipe", highlight "Dalvik / ART Cache", "Cache", "Data" and wipe. Click "Restart in OS".
After that go to twrp again, and install this chine bloat remover that u firstly transfered to ur phone (this step is not nescessery but I advise u to do it), to delete unnescessery apps. Unrar ROOT file and transfer superuser and apk file to ur phone. Go to twrp again and install superuser. click go to system and install that apk that u transerfed. ROOT STEP IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO ROOT THEIR PHONE. IF U DONT U DONT NEED THIS. I hope that i helpped someone.
Here is my short reviewe. Defenetly uprade eui to this, better interface, less bugs, less heating issues, still some messages dont come, but its around same as eui, even s7 in a very low rate of times have that issue. Battery optimization is much better too.Who didnt upgrade it, do it as soon as possible, cos of lower heating issues which later do damage to your phone and battery of course.
If anyone need help i am here

I have tried using YGDP but the phone is not connecting to the pc . A message is flashed ' usb device not recognised' whenever I connect. Pls guide and give the link of drivers to connect to the pc.
U couldnt brick it if u did all steps i said.. Try to install drivers from programfiles x86/ yulog and install everything fr there.. Pc should then recognize ur phone.. and then try to flash init.cpb with coolpad assistant

I dont have that issue. Try to install coolpad driver and to install everyting from the folder yulog which is located in Program files(x86). Then your pc shold recognize it. Also install adb, and qualcom driver. Then root it with superuser, not magisk.
