AC!D Audio provides you an overall better sound quality, more precisely :
● Bass are deeper, crispier and more powerfull, with nice effect without distortion and crackling
● treeble are less aggressive and more immersive (you'll enjoy whistle, whisper, instrument like piano, guitar,... will be much more natural and balanced)
● Voice is really more natural with better balenced EQ for a pure cristal sound for an awesome clarity
● Audio track quality will be enhanced and the improvement will be even noticed on your most crappy headset (even if good headphone are really suggested to enjoy all improvement of this MOD)
This Engine is A port of several Audio Technolgy, each of them are well know to enhance some specific audio part, our goal was to get them working simultaneously with a lot of personnal optimisation modification tweaks and unique features by our Team
Here is a short list of audio technology we Ported and Modded on this Engine :
● Sony ClearAudio+ (amazing technology to enhance clarity of Bass and provide several effect like Clearphase, Clearbass, SRS surround)
● Beats Audio Engine (we ported latest beats engine from HTC, and modded it a lot to be great handled by Clearaudio, it improve greatly Bass power and overal surround effect)
● Dolby Digital Plus (overall better audio clarity with way more natural sound and some awesome features like SRS Wow and Dynamic Bass range)
● Sony xLoud (enhance noticably speaker quality in terms of clarity and volume, it help to ensure there is no distorion in sound even in headset, better balanced treeble and crystal voice)
● AC!D Audio Parts (Huge optimisation in overall sound quality due to some optimisation, some tweaks, some audio rendering and resampling and even more... some Huge work have been done already)

- Remove DSP Manager for User CyanogenMod
- Be sure your ROM don't have any other Sound MOD except WALKMAN PORT
- Download AC!D Audio Engine
- Reboot into Recovery
- FIRST WIPE CACHE PARTITION AND DALVIK CACHE!!!
- Mount System
- Now you can Install AC!D Audio Engine​
Little Tips :
- I REALLY SUGGEST YOU TO USE AC!D AND WALKMAN ONLY if you user ICS/JB/KK (without any other Addon) (in my opinion gives the best audio quality)

This Project started In April 2012, previously only for Xperia S this MOD Support more and more Phone, Xperia 2011 phone and it became recently an UNIVERSAL MOD and now support all ICS and JB CYANOGEN Based ROM
Support for Touchwizz, Sense, MotoBlur,... (Stock firmware) Based ROM Will come Soon!

nothing works! us alsa is wrong everything is wrong in ur files...i prefer the zeros mod it was tha best...BTW good luck in updating this because NOTHING WORKS BUDDY!
u don't own a hox why the reason ur developing this??
I say u better don't brick devices!! because I have just soft bricked my phone and have come out of it
please this thing never happened in my phone

Where did you get the test version I don't remember that I have sent to you...
You probably downloaded the one from Xperia S in Xperia S thread
Like it is written in the link at the end of first post pm me if you want test my ported mod for HOX
Next time read a little before posting things like this
And be more respectfull with people who share his work
And one more things I wrote clearly that it was in alpha stage
Why I share my work on HTC one X thread? Because many people who have an HOX PM me to port my work on HTC one X

Try out the right version of my MOD before posting bad feedback
It's like you play tennis with a football ball and then you say nothing work
For sure Xperia optimized MOD won't work on HOX and it is because I ported it for HOX

Don't forget that Beats is not only a thing to have louder Bass it is a lot more than this you'll have a clearer deeper sound (in general) and way better feel of music​
This MOD includes:

- Better experience of music (Don't forget that you need good hearphone to notice all the change, better are your earphone, better are the music this will never change!)

Thanks for your test version. Xloud does not work but the sound on earphones works great. It's clear and good bass. I used the aroma install. I use aokp rom.

96khz is impossible bro! Chipset on hox only Support 48khz max.
Btw, it looks like a copy of zeros mod. Just sayin' ...

To all non-snapdragon chipset, I'll update my MOD to get working non-xperia option correctly it seems it cause issue on SGS3 'cause of bad block choosen to mount /system in updater.script
I'll try with sbin/busybox/mount/system

If you checked Xloud on aroma and added properly line in build.prop it should work fine

First attempt​

Looks interesting, though I am curious what exactly has been done in some of the repeating points, like clearer bass, better bass, more drums, better vocals in background and lots more.
No offense, but as someone who works a lot with audio technology, lots of these points makes no sense and makes the mod seem less credible.
Would love a better documentation for the features of this.

Do i need to uninstall voodoo sound app?

Can someone provide me the one that was dedicated to unicef? I believe it was version 3? Cuz this one doenst work. Gets stuck at updating android screen..

is this mod working good with voodoo sound?
I mean, like in our device with wolfson chip, it can be regonfigured to make more bass etc.
So, is this mod still better than voodoo?
EDIT:
so tested it, and my result is that voodoo is better, it has clear bass and so on.
Still, other users can think otherwise, and I think this app is can be awesome to other phones without regonfigurable sound chip.

You have to manually uninstall ALL the files of the zip with a file manager with root access(you can see inside the zip to see where these files were installed).
I advice you to do a nandroid backup next time

i am installing the package of ACID MOD + Walkman (Flash Acid Engine + Walkman Addon + Wipe Davlik Cache + Fix Permission + Wipe Cache Partition) . whenever i tried to open walkman , i am getting the issue "unfortunately walkman has stopped"

The Walkman player is really broken. It barely has any functions whatsoever. Whenever I click "My Music", which is kinda essential, I get the " Donwload music info failed" error and the app closes. Not only that, but once I removed the Walkman app, the error started popping up whenever I restart my phone. It's so annoying.
Better don't install and wait for a more stable version, as this is broken.

Delete secmetadatacleanup.apk from system app. Will fix the isseu. Btw the new walkman from the v works fine for me, nite 2 theme/apps search it

Could you be more specific? Which V version?
I switched my ROM with AndroSlim, and now the issue with the "Download music info failed" is gone, but I haven't installed the Walkman player again.

§1 First flash AC!D Audio Engine
§2 Then Flash The addon of your choose
§3 Reboot
§4 Go to PhoneSetting/Sound/AudioEffect then a window will show you 2 option first one is soundenhancement (Team AC!D EQ) second one is the optional EQ you have choosed so if you want to use it just click on it
§5 reboot, open your music player (like google music, Appolo, walkman,...) and click on equalizer you should be redirected to a new EQ (the one you've choosed) if your music player has built-in EQ just open your EQ as a normal app (open your app drawer and click on noozxoide or awesome beats)
§6 Done, Enjoy! and don't forget to press thanks button!

§1 Remove ALL Third app equaliser (DSP Manager, Market EQ app,...)
§2 Be sure your ROM don't have any other Sound MOD preinstalled
§3 Download AC!D Audio Engine and Walkman (for Optional Addon, like noozxoide or awesome beats go here)
§5 Put downloaded files in a special folder on your SDCARD (or internal storage), you can create an AC!D Audio folder (will be usefull in the future)
§6 Once you have all needed files on your phone reboot in recovery (CWM)
§7 FIRST WIPE CACHE PARTITION AND DALVIK CACHE!!!
§8 Flah AC!D Audio Engine then AC!D Walkman Engine
§9 Reboot
§10 let phone settle a little,
(only if you installed optional addon: go to setting sound audioeffect and choose the Equaliser you want, it will keep the one you choosed in memory)
after that reboot a last time
§12 Enjoy a brand new Audio Quality

Little Tips:
- I REALLY SUGGEST YOU TO USE AC!D AND WALKMAN ONLY (without any other Addon) (in my opinion gives the best audio quality) (but walkman might not work on All devices)

- ALWAYS FLASH ON A CLEAN INSTALL!!!
- Once it booted leave your phone 5min to let all effect settle then reboot once again!
- (Walkman addon may cause bootloop on some devices cause it takes space in system partition)
- IN CASE OF BOOLTOOP ---->REFLASH YOUR ROM AND THEN TRY UNIVERSAL VERSION<----

FAQ / Tips​
Q : How can set default music effects ?
A : in CM go to settings -> sound -> music effects and change it to fav dsp but if not find it in sound settings, is mean the Awesome Audio Enhancer is default DSP
Q : i change DSP settings and not get any changes on sound
A : go to Awesome Audio and enable your settings , remove any other EQ like nooz default DSP from Gapps , its will making incompatible issue

I only have Equalizer enabled, bass and two high frequencies all at +1.2 dB, the rest of the work is carried through Viper.. love what kind of sound I've achieved for the music I listen to.

If i enabled Bass boot in DSP Manager,should i disable it ? The system sound is good,louder,but when listening music with phone speaker,i don't like so much,the sound is not warm. With Beat Headphone is awesome I'm using Marven Player.

It's a common problem with phone speaker regardless of which mod is used. Lower frequencies distort and muffle the sound through speaker as it's unable to reproduce those anyway. It could perhaps work only with HTC One/Boomsound.

NOTE 2: It SHOULD work with all Xperia Firmware-Based ROMs, not so sure about AOSP roms as I have a lock bootloader and therefore I cannot try them out. Please do not constantly ask if it will work for a specific rom, Try before you ask.
NOTE 3: PLEASE! FOR YOUR OWN SAFTEY, MAKE A NAND BACKUP FOR YOUR ROM! I WILL NOT BE GIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO UNINSTALL.
NOTE 4: This mod will work for Locked/Unlocked Bootloaders as long as you have a custom recovery.
NOTE 5: The speaker's audio quality becomes worse as you increase volume, this is because our speaker cannot output good audio quality at loud volumes.It is impossible to keep audio quality and loud volume because of out hardware. The HTC One has a dedicated Amp inside it's chipset which amplifies audio better with more sound, that is why new HTC phones can have very loud speaker volume with good speaker audio quality.
NOTE 6: Sometimes, if you play music, it could take a few seconds to let Sound Enhancements load your settings (This is normal)
NOTE 7: If you are on another device and is using Xperia Z version (The updated version of this soundmod and not PureXAudioLITE) Don't be mistaken that all features work, because it just won't. My audio mod is specifically made for the APQ8064 chipset and WCD9310 DAC (MPQ8064 audio too) the features will not ALL work because every device has different hardware/software, even if it install fine, not all features will work. Don't get confused.
NOTE 8: I advise everyone to go onto XZDualRecovery as it's the only recovery (As I am aware of) which has native init.d installed directly in it's ramdisk just so you can use the init.d scripts in my mod. (Only applies to locked bootloaders)
NOTE 9: If you are having audio skipping issues, make sure that you exclude: Walkman (If you have 2 Walkman apps, select the second one), PureXAudio Engine and MusicFX in STAMINA Mode so that the phone will not try and make it inactive. If you have Skipping in any other music player, add that in the exclude list of Stamina mode.
NOTE 10: Hearing impairment is caused by volumes higher then 85dB as stated in Wiki "If one is exposed to loud sound (including music) at high levels or for extended durations (85 dB A or greater), then hearing impairment will occur." If you feel uncomfortable when hearing music, I strongly advise you to either turn down the volume or have a rest.

yeah...the best audio mod for Z now in z1 ...i read the op, but i don't undertand if the xloud volume and the outputs volume is increase with the mod
p.s. we can't flash it without working recovery on locked bootloader

recovery works fine only 40 seconds. its more then enough to install this mod

Downloaded and flashed it ...but..
Sound enhancements are not working, when in settings under sound sound enhancements dont open at all
In walkman mode sound enhancements also dont open
Plus, it says in the OP that the overall sound coming out of the internal speaker has been increased but again, I did not feel any difference at all, please make this happen since as always internal speaker of the Z1 also is very weak therefore please, increased sound from the internal speaker for ringtones and notifications and increase sound from the in-call speaker greatly will be really nice...
Also, upload the stock sound file in CWM flashable format as well so if anyone wants to go back to stock...I know backup restore from TB should haven been done or backuy CWM or TWRP but I did not do any of those ... CWM & TWRP will reboot after 40 seconds so no use in making a backup for now, plus since my 64GB card is on its way I have not made any TB backups now.. So having a stock sound .zip file will help very much to me and to some other users also...
Hopefully these issues will be solved in the next update..cant wait...

As with all these mods there should be a health warning in the OP that the only way to go back to stock is via a nandroid backup or a clean reinstall of the rom. These sound mods change so many files its next to impossible to manually go back yourself with out a backup.
I know this does not help you, but I hope others will read this and take the backup.

Yeah hope so .. anyways all i can do now is wait for the new version which has increase in sound from internal + in-call volume speaker (like it was there for Xperia Z) and also have the sound enhancements settings working

Great Thanks a lot buddy, V2 will help me since i am without backup for sure...
and lets hope the V2 will have louder sound from in-call speaker and internal speaker...

I guess this is the only way for now until Doomlord fixes the 40 seconds reboot in recovery ... once thats fixed then only we all will be able to perform Nandroid Backup...

i am not making any apps tweaking yet
i need to bring Zero's presets into Walkman somehow
but for that we gotta be deodexing the whole ROM

Now we should have Walkman working as it should

Just installed the V2
Used TWRP to flash first
- After booting, in settings the sound effects are still not responding, meaning I when click on sound effects nothing happens
- In walkman, in settings the sound effects are also not responding
- In google music player, when I click on settings and goto sound effects it opens, but when I goto EQ settings and select any new EQ the EQ sliders does not move at all they all remain at Zero which is right in the middle.
Used CWM to flash and same thing as above for settings, walkman, google music player.
So V2 is not working for me either...
