Since XXKK5 Update over the Air aka FOTA for S8500/S8530 AND S8600

S8500XXKK5 is able to update Firmware over the Air... See here:

Main file is in:
User\Mass\SyncML\Fota\*.cfg

Additional files are in

You can choose later with Reminder to Backup files.
Handset creates now NEW files like apps_compressed.bin.

Nice news there's differente boot and ive found source il be post later
They use Nucleus for crypto source, embeddedXen 3.1.3 its an virtual machine

All file on your boot file adfree is in. There's complete kernel source i can upload of course now i upload just partial source. The's is 2002 revision 1.3 but i see 3.1.3 exist and some compile it need search more

Ho1od or Rebellios can take a look at and maybe find some trick its not for us but for training also for decrypting some boot system, all its important

On KK5 S8530 I was not able to download something...

amss.bin also few Bytes in Name changed...

Maybe you need luck, or maybe access limitation by:
- time... maybe only from 5 - 7 morning
- maybe only 100 "user" can access at same time Server...

I found Quram compression routine in XPKJ1 FOTA module. But it's partial and very, very huge. Probably does support only one type of compression, likely for Rsrc or some libraries. Do you think it's possible for you to dump S8500XXKKV delta and send to me?

Also a question, have you ever met "GCE" or "GLS" magic string in some files related to compression? Looks like compression method or what.

It seems you need exact procedure and/or its only 1 time possible after complete Flash with Multiloader... then you can download FOTA...
My steps:
1.
Firmwareupdate via Multiloader!
2.
During first initial Steps... Choose ENGLISH as language
3.
Timezone seems irrelevant... I choose Bermuda...
4.
Ok... Ok...
Now you are able to navigate in menu...
5.
WLAN/Wi-Fi ... no need of active SIM... enter your Password to establish connection to Wi-Fi
6.
Go to Settings->Accounts
Config your Samsung Account
Now you could test if ... but I think no connection... only
You need to RESTART your handset... OFF... ON
After finish of Boot, maybe wait short... then:
Settings->General->Software update
Don't forget to choose Wi-Fi

After my KK5 Multiloader update... now received 3 packages...
KK5->KK6->KK7->KKV
Last one not installed yet... maybe I'll wait little bit to get KK8 or something like this.
Hmmm. Not sure how final FOTA will work... but it seems you can only jump in minor steps...
As fantasy example:
If your device has "KK1" and latest Firmware is KK9... then maybe you have to download and install first:

Not tested yet... if SIM card is mandatory in device... (maybe I'll remove it for test)
BUT my SIM card is not more active... all actions over Wi-Fi...
Also not many users from Europe (or Germany) reports success...
I can only count 3 user from Germany... 1 from Romania...
We will see...

If you have a Zune restore point (backup created when updating or via a tool from XDA), you may be able to use it to fix your phone. Can you get the phone into recovery mode? On my HD7, the steps are to power the phone down, then press-and-hold the Camera button (fully pressed) while powering it on again. It should go to a black-and-white screen showing the phone connected (or ready to connect) to the PC.
Alternatively, try to find the legit ROM that came on your device, and flash that. You'll lose your data if you do so, but you would have lost it flashing a different ROM anyhow. Better that than a non-working phone in any case...

my phone is a Europe (no operator look, HTC factory)

- Did the phone returned to bootloader mode after flashing?

with your EUSLSPL 2.01.401.4 you can use i think only one rom

You need to get your Titan into bootloader mode first. (With device off, turn on device while holding Vol+ and Vol-)
If I remember correctly, you need to have ActiveSync (for Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (for Windows Vista/7) installed as well.

hello,
i know that this isn't the right place for my question but i didn't find a forum dedicated to the same of my problem.
so my phone samsung wave s8500 running bada got the download mode in the boot.
when i on my phone i get just the download mode even if i did not press the combo keys power vol down camera buttons. i got always on the download mode and my phone dont want to start
i triyed to unbrik him using multiloaders v5.65 and upload all required fils succefully but always the same problem
so ??? do think that a hardware problem ??
please help me it's urgent

i know that upload data to pc massage not download mode
but i told you that when i was in download mode and have uploaded just boot files + fota from the link that in the forum i got this message

when i upload all files check LSI . boot change . full download . master ROM
message appeared after download " All files complete "
the probleme
my phone didn't restart after download
and when i unplug the battery and plug it again and power the phone always the same problem i got in download mode again

clicking on call pad = going to camera
on midium pad : a message appeared ''captured'' then the screen freeze up ??

then when all complete the keypad camera work but as volume, and the lock pad as camera ????¿¿¿¿ lol what happened to my mobile hehhe

You use NaviFirm + to download a downgrade rom?
If this is not your goal, use rather Data Package Manager.
If you use NaviFirm+ you must rename the files correctly.
And not bother to write wholesale.

Preparing to flash
Hello guys,
I've attached some printscreens during my preparations for a 11.1.1 update ROM version (unfortunately, OTA update is unavailable in my Region - Romania). The printscreens are in chronological order, as instructed in the first post from this thread:
1. When the download reaches 99%, it enters in a "Verification" status, but it never reaches 100%, instead it reverts to "Not downloaded". Is this normal?
2. If I try a second download, the progress bar shows "?%" for a few seconds, then resets to "0%".
3. Am I missing any files needed for flashing?
4. What's the advantage in changing the Product Code for your phone? What's the main difference between 059T9D8 RM-980 NDT EURO PL (Poland) and 059V301 RM-980 GLOBAL SWAP?
So, long story short:
I'm worried that maybe some of the files are downloaded incompletely (since the download progress never makes it to 100%), could you prove me wrong? I really want to flash my Nokia X with the latest update, but I want to make everything right in the first time.

W10M Windows Update Issue (Error: 0x80070273)

Hey guys,
I have a Lumia 920 spoofed as a Lumia 950 XL and it successfully updated to the Creators Update (15063.2). But I am not able to download any of the cumulative updates beyond this in any of the Insider rings. The phone searches for the update but throws an error 0x80070273. I even tried enabling full file system access via Interop tools and clearing the SoftwareDistribution folder just like we do to troubleshoot desktop Windows Update issues but in vain. This is an issue with most of the x20 series phones. No one has been able to get it fixed so far.

For those who are still waiting for a fix for the update error and don't want to undergo the recovery process, I found a different solution, which doesn't need a recovery operation on the phone.
I tested it on my 1020 and another 925 which were stuck in the CU build .297 with success.
Keep in mind that the parameters that I will use are specific to these phone models and if you have a different model you need to find the requested parameters specific to your phone model.
This is an heuristic procedure, tested on a limited number of phones, so use it at your risk, keeping in mind that you could have problems or need to recover your phone loosing all your data, so do before a proper backup.
Let's start.
The problem appears because during update phase the oeminput.xml file becomes corrupted: as far as I know it happens only for some x20 model, and not for all the users.
Now we're going to rebuild it...
Go to the following link

at the node <SOC>{PROCESSOR_NAME}</SOC> modify {PROCESSOR_NAME} fake parameter in order to have the processor name of your phone: for the 920/925/1020 use QC8960
at the node <Resolution>480x800</Resolution> instead of 480x800 use the resolution of your phone: for the 920/925/1020 use 768x1280
in all the nodes related to language <Language>en-US</Language> use the language of your phone: I used for example it-IT because I have the phone in Italian language.
Save the file.
Now if you still don't have interop tools installed (but I think you should have if you arrived to CU with an x20 phone model) install it.
Launch interop tools and then click this device and enable full file system access. Reboot your phone, connect it to a pc with cable: you'll see more directories than usual, because you unlocked also system dirs: be careful not to delete or modify any dir apart from what you find in this guide or you'll risk to damage your phone. If you want to find your usual dirs (docs photos...etc), go to phone\Data\Users\Public. I advise you that after the procedure I couldn't deactivate full file system access, because it continues re-activating in interop tools, maybe there is a way: but you can live with this, because you can find the usual dirs in the path that I specified...
Now go to phone\windows\imageupdate, make a backup on pc of the current oeminput.xml and overwrite it with the new one.
At this point in the phone go to settings, update and then search for updates: you should find Fall Creators Update...
Let me know if you have problems or need more informations...

I have a similar problem I have Lumia 1020 10,0,15063,297 wanting to update me it pulls error 0x800f8003

I had the same error 0x80070273 on my Lumia 1520, RM-938. It was impossible to update its OS. It was stuck on the 10.0.15063.2 OS version.
I followed all the steps outlined here how to replace the corrupted OEMInput.xml file.
I am rocking 10.0.15063.674 OS version now.

Yay, this worked perfectly on my Lumia 1020. Now Windows Update thinks it's a 950XL, and I've got the latest 2018-01 Update for arm-based devices. Very cool. Thank you so much to you and Antonio!

i have been trying for many days to fix this error problem Windows Phone Update Error 0x80070273 .. I understand all about the solution in this page but the problem is when I apply full access on interop it show system files of the phone but all are protected as read only . so I can't replace or modify any files .. what to do to remove this read only protection on phone system files ?

Nice guide works perfect on Lumia 925 spoofed to 950 XL.

I've made the changes to the oeminput.xml that are shown here, for my Lumia 1520. Now when I run Phone Update, it briefly shows that updates are available for Windows 1703 (the updates are dated 2019 04), then displays an error message code 0x80070002. This has only happened since I changed the oeminput file, so I think I may have some value or other within it set incorrectly. I've got my language and time locales set to my region. For the other variables I used:

<Resolution>1080x1920</Resolution>
Are these correct for the 1520? Is there something else I should be looking at to get the updates to work? Many thanks in advance for any help with this.

I get an error trying to copy oeminput.xml to the destination directory on the phone. Something I need to do to grant permissions? Or use some tool other than Windows Explorer on the PC? I can navigate to that directory and view contents.
[edit]: found solution, just needed to turn on a couple more switches in the Unlock portion of the Interop Tools app, then it worked.

Planned steps:

- changing Registry to Nokia Luima 950 etc.
- checking XML File maybe correct
