Best clear case/skin? - One (M7) Accessories

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on what clear case/skin to get? I love the look of the phone, but I sell my phones every 8 months or so, so I need something that will protect it from scratches.
I dont often drop my phone, so a super protective case isnt necessary but I do sometimes put change in the pocket with my phone. Also, I am worried that a skin (like invisibleshield) will start to peel off after a short time - like it did on my old iphone 3g when I had that.

I had Ghost Armor's clear full body shield installed a few days after I bought it. It's barely noticeable on the phone and covers pretty much the entire surface except for the sides (top and bottom are covered). $36 includes installation and warranty.
Side note, do you just buy your phones off contract except for every 4th one (which should fall at the 24th month mark)? How much do you end up spending on phones per 2 year period on average? I've always just waited for my contract to be up. If Google comes out with a new Nexus device for Sprint this year I may have to pick that up, though.

I have ordered the Cimo Grip case.. found here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CIMO-GRIP-FLEXIBLE-TPU-CASE-FOR-HTC-ONE-M7-COVER-/171028964515
Haven't recieved it yet, so I can't comment on quality. It seemed to be one of the better clear cases I could find though.. let me know if there are any other good clear cases out there!

I did not like my Cimo case, mostly due to the fact that it became very difficult to control the volume with it.

i've been looking at this one.. it looks pretty nice

Love the looks of this one:
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/htc/htc-one/htc-one-case-ultra-thin-air.html
It's also availible on ebay and amazon. Not a very cheap one but it looks good. I think I'll go with this Spigen.

Yeah, I know about that issue.. I've had a Cimo case to a Samsung phone, where the volume buttons got better over time. Atleast it will work until something better comes along, if nothing else.. but as I said, for now its the best I've found out there anyway. I just want a good, thin and clear TPU case with no silly branding and a front lip to protect the screen - but somehow that seems to be hard to find

I received the Cimo case last week. Ordered it thinking my Poetic Atmosphere case wouldn't arrive for a couple of weeks. Now I have both. Didn't expect it, but I like the Cimo better than the Atmosphere case. Yeah, the volume rocker is a little difficult, but I don't use the volume rocker often enough to worry about it. It looks great, adds very little to the size, and has a grippy feel.

I have the clear case and its great. Its actually slightly frosted, but you can't really tell once its on the WHITE HTC One. Can't speak for the black one. All the cut outs line up perfectly and the IR blaster works just fine! Great case

I just applied my BestSkinsEver on. I got the matte body with glossy screen protector. I wanted to preserve the look and feel so instead of all glossy I got only the screen.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

The problem with the Spigen is that it's made from hard plastic hard to pull out and will most likely break on impact
it's weird HTC didn't release a transparent slim cover themselves, the one for the One X was pretty neat

I was using Xtremeguard front and back screen protection for the HTC ONE from Amazon for $5.
I use this brand for all the phones I get. I like how it feels and it's just affordable.

I said "was" using it because I had to take the back protector off because I ordered a clear iMak case which caused a water effect from the clear case meeting with the case. I got this case off ebay for $4.00 and it came in the mail pretty fast considering it was shipped from China. The case works but the part on top of the volume rocker doesn't feel like it clicks in place. The case is secure but it feels a little weird. It's not fully flush but it was a few dollars so Im not really complaining and it allows me to show off the phone yet still being able to protect it. I dont like how their iMAK text blocks the One's Beats Audio branding but that's just me nitpicking. I don't know if you can tell but I have like a permanent spec on the case that I cant take off. May not bother you but I've been rubbing and cleaning but that ****s on there for good.

I bought one of these, similar to the handhelditems one but the frost goes to the edge instead of leaving a border.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/370779333600?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
Its a great fit on the phone, this is one of the first phones where a TPU case doesn't really feel like extra bulk to me, the phone is so slim it still is a perfect size. The camera cutout isn't the most protective, as you can see there is some space around there but flash and everything isn't affected.
The frost on the case shows through pretty well on this silver version, the back still looks great as you can see. I don't have problems pressing the volume buttons as others have mentioned, I always get them pressed first try although they do feel a little squishier than without. IR blaster works fine through these clear TPU cases.
Although there is a frost look to the case, it is on the inside of the TPU and does help hide fingerprints and such. The outside is still smooth, and can feel a bit grimy after a while if you don't clean it. I think this is the case with any smooth back on a case (hence why everyone hates samsung plastic).
I recommend this as a case on the cheap if you're looking for one.
Here are some crappy pics:

I have mine covered in a Skinomi full body clear skin. I've always used Skinomi. They have great customer service and support!!!

Not bad, do you think it's going to turn yellow? I remember when i had the white one x, i bought a clear tpu case. Man, I went against my instinct and all of the reviews that said it would turn yellow under a week. It happen in 2 days haha, it was a mess.
Your case looks good though, more protection than that iMak case I got...
I also ordered a Nillkin black leather flip case, tried to cancel it because I found a better Rock case but the seller gave me a discount since he shipped it out already. Just waiting to see how crappy it looks haha, this phone is too damn pretty to cover up but I had accidents before, it doesnt matter how careful I am. I know for sure that a ding is going to piss me off
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-...er-Case-Cover-Skin-For-HTC-One/832689359.html

I'd bet it would yellow eventually, maybe the frost on the back would help hide it a little. I would probably just get another case if it yellows.

Bestskinsever, they're cheap and have the absolute most precision cut. And they now offer matte film for the body which complements the metal case of the phone nicely. Their screen protector is very clear as well. Just took off a Skinomi because that's all that was available at launch and the Bestskinsever is definitely superior in cut and clarity. My .02

This one looks pretty nice too

I agree, was looking at this one as well as I've ordered a Taurus case for my SGSII
My only issue is the price with delivery is quite high. Having a nosey to see what my local phone shop can source in atm.
Whats this Poetic Atmosphere case you mentioned? Gell/soft case? Link?

Yeah if it had free shipping I would seriously consider it. I like how the case covers the lens
Oh here's the Poetic Atmosphere case http://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Atmosphere-Clear-Manufacturer-Warranty/dp/B00BQ2Y3TA
Look at the photos to get a good idea how it looks on both the black and silver version of it. The bad part is that they won't ship out until mid-May because they're fixing the IR Blaster problem

Atrix TPU Case Received, pics inside

Hey everyone, I received my TPU case from EBay (item 290530353216) today, here are some comments and pics. The fit is only OK - the cutout for the USB/HDMI ports is a little off, and there is a little bit of an edge around the power button that impedes fingerprint swipability a little. I will say too that I didn't expect it to have the goofy pattern - what is it with TPU cases and argyle patterns?? Also, as you've noticed it is somewhat translucent.
I give it a 3/5. $7 shipped in the US. I'll keep it until another inexpensive case rolls around that is higher quality.
And just in case anyone wonders, on my screen are the Pandora Widget, Android Agenda Widget, and some apps. I am running ADW Launcher (free). Also, I know I left my back panel sticker on there, and that was on purpose.

Yeah seriously with the frikin argyle ****! Its like they made a billion sheets of the argyle TPU and they just like heat mold them to phones (not like thats how they're made). This will be my third phone encased in argyle TPU. Other two were the dark one like yours, this time I got sick of trying to hide the argyle and people asking about the stupid pattern. I got clear so, "yes its frikin argyle! got a problem!?"
Waiting for the Realook screen protectors to be cut. no idea why it takes them so long to cut the right size. Realooks are by far the best screens...
Everything is temporary at this point...I'll buy nicer stuff once my 30 days are up.
I was fortunate enough to have a solid black non-patterned TPU case for my EVO that someone on this forum actually commissioned and was selling out of their garage essentially.
Check out tpu-cases.com. I bought an all black one there, shipped same day. Quality is nice, it's glossy, feels good in the hand for an 8$ case.
the 1.99 one I got from ebay is decent
Nice, never seen that site before. I'll order one up and hopefully it'll get here by the time I'm home from travel. Wish someone would make one like I had for my Evo though - it was matte on the back and shiny on the front.

Well I tried the Speck (or whatever it's called) case from AT&T and hated it...looked and felt like a toy.
Then I tried the Otterbox Impact (the smallest case they make). It's made of a type of rubber that sucks up all dust and won't let it go. It's pure black rubber but after putting it in my pocket and driving up to Starbucks to meet some friends...it looked gray. My pockets don't have any lint or anything in them...and yet the case now looks completely gray. I just put it on yesterday. It's also a bit big for my tastes...and the phone can easily come out of the bottom.
I'm going to try the cheapest cases on eBay. They always worked great for my Nexus 1 and most other phones I've used. The cheap thin rubber is fantastic for me. The phone's so freaking sexy...I just don't want to add a bunch of mass to it.

i like the feather as well. not much in terms of impact protection, but most of my scratches come from the phone vibrating on the desk over time and scuffing the battery door, so its a nice line of defense against that. also, its a little less slippery than the standard battery door which i like

Yeah its great for worrying less about the normal wear and tear.
I particular like the argyle tpu cases which give decent protection and feel. i have it for the ipad, galaxy tab, atrix, inspire, and xoom.
www.degasis.net offers these as well
I ordered my case from http://www.degasis.net/models/atrix.html (as the poster above recommended. $6.98 shipped
This is the best fitting TPU case I've had across all my devices. The best part is that it actually makes the on/off button easier to push and the finger scanner easier to operate (its cut at the perfect angle to compliment it). Its slightly different cut but a better fit than the pictures posted above.
I'll post pictures when I come across another camera some time today or tomorrow.
TPU is far superior to any other case material in my book. perfect balance of grip/non-stick, thinness, protection, and fit.

That's the problem I have with the feather - it doesn't protect either end of the device, only the sides and back.
Judging by the picture, it looks like you have that "textured" screen protector. What is the screen protector you are using? Those are my favorite kinds and I have been trying to find one for a while! thanks in advance
Kbc, who are you asking? I'm using an AT&T screen protector. It's matte and perfectly smooth.

OK, you've sold me on this case Good description of how it is, what colour did you get?

Case v. No Case?

God I hate using a case with this phone. Its so thin, yet hearty. And looks so damn good naked.
Has anyone found a case that barely impedes on the thickness of the device yet still provides adequate protection? I use the OEM gel skin and it's great protection but I'll be damned if it doesn't thicken my phone up like a sunuvabitch. Makes it feel like my old t-mo Wing!!!!

let me start by saying...i HATE cell phone cases...ive had all kinds of phones from nextels to moto pebbles to the mytouch 4g and never once NEVER have i bought a case for one
so knowing that...i bought one of the tpu fusion cases...let me tell you something...i couldnt be happier with this case...very thin...very light...lots of good grip and feel to the case and it fits the phone like a glove
now i dont have a whole helluva lot experience with cases especially for this phone...but this tpu fusion case has to be hands down the best just based on what ive read and seen about the other cases for this phone
so i recommend you spend the 5$ it costs for the tpu fusion case and just order one

BTW im not any type of sales person or anything for the cases or the people who sell em....just love this case a lot

as for cheap...yes they are very cheap and i couldnt believe it either...but quality doesnt seem to be lacking even at that price
I LOVE the way the MT4G looks and feels without a case. However, I've dropped my phone 3 times in the past month. Each time was indoors on carpet or hardwood, but still it was enough to keep me using my Epik cases.
I just wish the cases were just a little thinner. I'd risk less impact protection for a slimmer profile.
I bought the sleeve that came with the Nexus One off of eBay for $5. A little snug at first but after a few days fits perfect.
I like it because you get the naked feel of the phone but it's protection in your pocket. It also cleans the fingerprints off for you I've been using it for 3 months and my phone looks brand new.
Plus it's stylish with the little Android logo on it.
Have you tried a skin? I know it's not the same as a hard case, offers less impact protection, but it adequately protects the phone from cosmetic scratches and blemishes, and I do believe it helps with your typical cell-phone drop (i.e. I think it helps protect the phone when dropped a few feet, but anything hgher than 5 or 6 feet and it won't make much of a difference). But with any case, if a phone takes a long fall it's gone, and I don't plan on tossing it off the side of a roof. I've been using Best Skins Ever for about a month and am REALLY pleased. Like you, I'm not fond of big bulky cases - I like the natural look of the phone, and these skins allow me to protect it while not impeding on the size or look of the phone AT ALL. BSE is all I've tried but there are many different kinds - a lot of people complain of orange peel/grip issues, but I am totally happy with the BSE, and I'm picky about texture.
On a note, i don't understand why people put a super thick case on a thin phone, like a otterbox defender case on a iPhone 4.... totally defeats the purpose of a thin phone and looks dorky...

Slip case for MT4G
I do exactly what Joey above does-use an OEM Nexus One case. Protects the phone and you get the nice feel of its shape and texture when you unzi-- I mean, take it out.
But I turn the N1 case inside out because I hate the feel of the regular fabric.
FWIW my phone got a lot creakier after I put on a TPU case. I developed a creak by the camera button after using it naked for a few weeks. I than got a TPU case from ebay, and now if I remove the case, the whole top creaks when naked.
Maybe it would have happened anyways, but I thought i'd throw it out there.

since i just scratched my chrome bezel after owning it for a couple months im going to get the case. ugh why did i wait
I'm aganist cases, just because it hides the beauty of a device and the thiness. But I just got a solid black glossy TPU case and it looks awesome, I got it off ebay and don't think the seller has anymore of them. But my phone is white and I hate it, I kick myself for getting the white one, actually had no choice, when I traded my G2 off cragislist.
But with this case, I don't see any white, except around the charger port, and **** looks sick. And I'm the type of person that can't stand any scratches on their phone, I need it to look perfect and brand new. Never say you won't drop the phone and get a nasty scratch on it.
I would prefer not having a case, but my biggest concern is getting dust under the LCD. My e-71 was a very solid phone, and it eventually started getting dust under the screen. I hope to have the mt4g for a while and I'm trying to avoid any dust issues.

Curious how a case would prevent dust from getting under the LCD? Where does the dust enter?
Wow, they got here fast via regular mail! Look and feel is great. The black is solid black, not transparent at all, which is good for me. The purple I got for my wife is indeed just as seen on the website.
Buttons have a good, positive feel, not hard to press at all. Texture on the sides is nice and provides good grip. Best of all, makes the phone feel like the lean mean machine it is, unlike the T-Mobile skins they replaced.
Here are some pics of it on my phone:

To be honest, I'm not sure. The only thing that makes sense to me is that the dust somehow gets pushed into the phone's cracks from pressure/friction of just pulling in in/out of pockets. Adhesives/seals never stay perfect, and it's just a matter of time. This has always been an issue with Phones/PDAs.
A case is basically another layer of protection. Also, since the phone is thicker pocket lint is now rubbing against the case, not directly rubbed into the phone's edges/cracks.
That's the theory anyway. My phone just fell off my bed and hit a table.
It was comforting to hear a rubbery impact versus a metal/wood whack.

Anyone had any experience with this brands TPU cases before? I will update this thread with my review once I get it installed.
**Update 6.29.12**
I picked up my phone from BB yesterday and took this case with me to protect my phone until my Incipio Sylicrilic Dual Pro arrived...which was at home waiting for me along with my Tagsfordroid NFC tags. The case had a nice feel to it, at least on the shiny parts where it had more grip...the matte area was pretty slick/smooth/slippery. It was my first experience with a TPU case and while it added very little bulk, much like a wetsuit, it was a little difficult to stretch onto the phone. I thought I was going to damage the phone trying to get it on. But after getting it on I liked it for it's intended use, preventing cosmetic damage to the backside of the case and allowing me to set the phone face down without feat of damaging the screen. But my big complaint is that the buttons are very hard to press and you can't even tell when you've done so as you have no audible or tactile feedback upon the press. Because of this, the TPU came off as soon as I got home and noticed my SDP had arrived. I do not recommend this case unless it's just going to be used similarly to the situation I used it for.
generic cases you can get them for a buck on ebay with shipping. have used them on a lg o2x, sgs2, HOX and later today a sgs3. they usually fit really good. had no issues with them.
providing a link to the first case i found on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-5-Colors-...ain_0&var=&hash=item4166b8b83e#ht_4044wt_1018
I've ordered one for every phone I've had this past year they are super thin and have a good grip on the sides
But the white ones get super dirty really fast

This was just $4.95 shipped

I bought one on eBay for 4.59 shipped. I bought clear, but other colors are on ebay as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/290721298653 Haven't received it yet.. Here is a seller from Ireland with a variety of colors. I might just pick up a blue one.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FOR-SAMSUNG-GALAXY-S3-I9300-HARD-GEL-CASE-COVER-FREE-SCREEN-PROTECTOR-/290720955624?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&hash=item43b051bce8
I have the white version on the white galaxy s3 and it looks really good.
Now obviously there are other cases that look better, but none for a couple of euro/dollars/pounds or what have you.

How does it feel in your hand? Does it add alot of bulk? What's the fitment like? Does it attract dust/lint? Does it add any grip? Have you dropped it at all, if so, did it fare well?

I love these types of cases. I have had one for every phone I have had over the past year and a half(and I've had a bunch) Case doesnt add too much bulk at all and it feels great in the hand. The side grips are very nice
Don't these fall off easily?

I just bought a couple of TPU case for my S3 as they are my favorite type of case. I have the ones on eBay that have a slightly textured X pattern on the back and a couple identical to the flexishield case on mobilefun. I've found the ones on eBay to be to loose and move around a bit when I'm adjusting the volume or locking/unlocking my phone ect and both of them have a problem with reflecting the color of the case back into the camera lens when using the flash. It makes for some pretty interesting photo effects.
The ones you linked to look good but I would advise against getting a semi transparent color. I'm thinking about getting one in black or white to see me through until Incipio release there NGP case.
Okay, I forgot the mention this before when I posted the images.
While they feel great and look really good.
I noticed NFC doesn't work with cover on, I think this might be the same for most covers and not just this one, but none the less if you use NFC a lot. Keep in mind you need to remove the cover to do so.

TPU cases typically don't fall off. You have to pop them off. They're pretty ideal.

Got my case today, super fast if you ask me considering I placed my order at 11pm on the 6th. Will definitely do business again with these guys. I bought it on Amazon from "SF Planet", they're out of Minnesota and I live in California.
So I checked out the case and the first thing I noticed is how thin it is, will add very little bulk to the phone. It's thick enough to hold it's form but thin enough to be very low profile. The case has shiny and dull areas on it....the shiny areas are very grippy, the dull areas not so much. But since the edges where you would normally hold the phone are knurled and shiny, gripping it should not be a problem. It's also got cutouts for the necessary areas, including both top and bottom mic's. Can't speak on the fitment for obvious reasons but will do so hopefully soon.
So far, so good.
People that buy this case in white, it gets very dirty! Only the left half of the wave design since it's a different surface. (matte vs. gloss).
Do TPU cases provide enough front coverage?
It seems like the Commuter would do better.
if your in london you can buy it from these guys... i bought a case for my SGS1 Year and a bit ago and they were really good than http://www.londonmagicstore.co.uk/Samsung/I9300/S+Line.htm

It certainly would, but considering the commuter wont be shipping until the week after launch I had no choice but to get something. TPU cases will guard against scratches, thats about it.

Anyone getting a Tech21 D30 case?

I noticed the first released D30 cases for the s3 were pretty lousey in terms of full protection, (no top or bottom coverage at all hardly) and i didn't like them compared to what they offered for the S2.
This new claimed impact band they have on their site looks like their old case design from the s2 where it actually protects the full edges around the phone and the back even, but i don't know what this clear plastic material is made out of , whether softish rubber like the old cases or a harder plastic..
I'm curious if anyone will be getting these or have a chance to see one in a store (probably in the uk i'm guessing? i'm in the US) and maybe they could snap a few pics or a little movie showing how the case looks, if its flexible rubber at all or just some info about it?
would love to read any kind of review or something about this one.. Seems not many people are interested in the Tech21 cases but that material of theirs seems to be pretty magical stuff if it actually makes a difference in protection!
http://shop.tech21.uk.com/store/ProductDetail/TE0101YAB006W_Impact-Band--Samsung-Galaxy-Siii
There's a link to the newer case they have on their website (they also have a mesh version which i'm not sure the difference is between the price).
They made that clear case for the one s also I believe it's the same material but just clear.

so then a firm but still somewhat flexible rubber?
Just ordered the mesh one. Hopefully it arrives soon enough so I can review it against the Neo Hybrid I also have incoming.
New Case
I also ordered the Impact Mesh case. If you guys have received yours, kindly upate this page with your reviews!
Thank you both for letting us know you've ordered them, I'm pretty much looking to get your impressions, and also if either of you could do a little youtube video showing how well it fits (if the case is a little flexible) or anything like that, that would be awesome..
currently have an incipio and i feel the rubber on the very top and bottom (lip area) is too soft, someotimes i nearly peel it off the phone as i'm taking it out of my pocket, so i'm hoping for a very firm rubberized feel on the d30 as well as a nice thick solid lip so if it does ever land on concrete it might have some good protection face down.
I await either of your responses (or anyone else who gets one of these newer designed ones).
The rubber should be very firm, it's TPU after all. The Incipio Silicrylic (assuming that's what you have) is Sillicone based IINM so it's understandably soft.
The S3 Neo Hybrid and Incipio Faxion are both PC/TPU hybrids, so you might wanna look into them too.
But no problem, I'll update you on case once I get it.

ahhh Yeah its the Silicrylic SHINE or something like that.. Its better than the nothing i had before, but my friend had a d30 on his galaxy 2 and he liked it very much, it was very firm on it, I didnt know that it was probably TPU? it felt like a very hard rubber.
will monitor this post! hope you guys get em soon!

Thank you for the link, Though i'm more curious now about their 'band' case as it looks to be a bit heftier, if anyone gets the band please post here about it.
Even MORE d3o Cases!
I wanted to add a little more to this, I went into tmobile randomly today and they had a NEW style d3o case.. Different from the Snap case and different from the BAND case as well. They only had PINK in stock, i dont know why but they order like 8 pinks and 1 smoke black, and then sell out smoke black (this is what he told us it was gone fast). So i just tried out the pink.. Gotta say tho the one i pulled off the shelf sure looked a little scratched up on the back for being NEW!...
Inside of course is the identifiable orange band of protection.. also the lip is significantly smaller than my current INCIPIO case, i compared them side to side, but its also thinner.. I gotta say if it can offer better protection than the INCIPIO its definately attractive to have a thinner case! .. I checked this out in the store, i did NOT buy pink. Apparently Tech21's website lists white, blue, black, pink, and smoke transparent. (wish they had pure clear like the mesh one).

All in all this case seems like it might be what I wanted originally. My friend had a Tech21 D3o for his Galaxy S2 and he liked it very much, he said he had dropped it and never had any damage to the phone, but since the release of the S3 Tech21 has been sucking in my opinion for cases, first that snap case that offered very little protection on the front and nearly NONE on the top and bottom of the phone (what was that about?!) then they released the Band which looked a bit more promising but just kind of looked funky with taht 'window' on the back.. (although i do like a completely clear case with the orange band, would remind me of a creamcicle!).. Then now they release this one which looks alot more like the original s2 case that he had. I just wish there was more reviews on these cases, they just dont seem that popular. If Tech21 is reading this and wants to send me all their s3 cases i'll review em
If anyone ends up getting this one, give us any thoughts you have, cuz in the store it didnt seem too bad... OH one other thing, aparently Tech21 went with shinny smooth texture this time instead of flat matte becuase according to the tmobile guy, the old cases were collecting alot of lint and dust from pockets and also scuffing up and looking more dated/dirty quicky, so they went with a shiney kind of texture, My friend didnt like the shiney as much he was afriad it was more prone to slipping out of the hand, but we didnt have any actual testing or handling with it, just a few minutes for pictures.
Lastely the buttons on the side (at least the wake/power button) is a little more stiff to push in this case, I actually like this becuase i constantly push this button when i'm trying to adjust the volume or take the phone out of my pocket and it accidently gets hit, so i like the fact that this seems to give me a little more resistence and possibly stop me from doing that.

This is the case I have. I ordered it (in blue) from GoCellular (great prices there, btw: http://www.gocellular.ca/?item=te3028 ) and I am waiting on the GS3 itself to arrive since I just ordered it. I'll upload my review once I get it.

Best cases I've found (without battery button cutouts!)

I've been on the hunt for a decent case for this phone since I got it on its release date and it's been greuling. It's almost as if this phone doesn't exist, in the Americas anyway, a lot of cases I've come across are nameless and generic, worst of all, poorly designed with a big theme being the inclusion of the battery door button cutout.
Here's a few companies and cases I've found to be actually designing a case for this phone:
VRS Design, some simple designs that work, nothing too fancy but that's just what some of us want:
https://vrsdesign.com/collections/lg-v20
Noreve, these are some impressive wallet style cases and the quality seems unprecedented, great for a gift or for those of us who want a nice leather flip case, definitely not within most budgets with certain customization options but worth keeping in mind:
http://www.noreve.com/en/1303-v20
J&D Slim Case, a simple case from Amazon for cheap, does the job but features the aforementioned battery button cutout and a less precise design than the rest on this list, I found it to be the more acceptable of the budget cases I've come across because of its simple design, small form factor, and the 4 color options:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KNQ4SH6/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_ONQGybGDMFMHS
Seidio, skeptical at first but glad this is a case I bought, a random brand that popped up in my search a few times. They seem to have one of the few 2 layer cases that don't have a battery button cut out and that also doesn't add much heft to the phone, all with adding a kickstand as well. Another great thing I love about the case is that it's inner layer can function as a standalone super slim rubber case, the fit is perfect and there are no quality issues as far as the precision and design is concerned (will post pics eventually):
https://www.seidioonline.com/product/lg-v20-surface-case/
Incipio, a popular brand making decent cases for more than just Samsung and Apple phones? WHAT?! I was surprised to see the selection Incipio has for the V20 and they look very promising. Starting from $20 you can get a case that fits well, looks nice, is from a trustworthy brand and best of all, doesn't have a battery button cutout! I took a liking to the Dualpro, NGP, and Octane models, they seem to provide good protection without adding a ton of bulk and offer some options for color:
https://www.incipio.com/cases/smart...lg-v20-cases/incipio-dualpro-lg-v20-case.html
https://www.incipio.com/cases/smart...0-cases/incipio-ngp-advanced-lg-v20-case.html
https://www.incipio.com/cases/smart.../lg-v20-cases/incipio-octane-lg-v20-case.html
I hope this helps some people out there hunting for cases, I was sure in need of this research and thought I'd share.
these are some cool cases. Thanks.
I have the High Pro Shield VRS (also had it on Note 7). Fit and feel is perfect,however.... The kickstand pivot seems to be positioned a hair too low. The phone tends to wanna fall over at the slightest bump. The Note 7 didn't suffer from this (same model case). Its like the center of gravity is a lil higher, still a great case and is not a deal breaker.
Oh hey, I've wanted Incipio to make cases for this phone. It's my lucky day. Now to convince myself 19.99 is worth it...
Have you actually tried them all? If not which one did you end up going with? I may go with the Incipio for $19.99. It's definitely worth it because I don't have phone protection. You think I'd learn my lesson after dropping a Nexus 6P and cracking the screen. Nope. I'll try to be careful.
UAG
It's a bit bulky and the cam is recessed (good).
However, when you insert the case, make sure the button (left) side inserted first.

My big thing has been keeping screen recessed since my Evo 4g took a 2 ft fall getting out of a car & hit perfectly on a rock to shatter the screen.
I always used OtterBox defender after that. But phones kept getting larger. When I got Note 7, tried UAG and loved it when I switched to V20 got UAG again. Much less bulk, but feels just as safe. Phone has dropped multiple times with zero issues.
I bought this one in navy for 11$ on Ebay sale. Gorgeous looks with solid quality, great feel in hand (not slippery at all), not bulky and totally protected with Spigen tgsp! #stronglyrecommend https://www.incipio.com/cases/smartphone-cases/lg-smartphone-cases/lg-v20-cases/incipio-ngp-advanced-lg-v20-case.html
How good are the Ghostek cases? They look pretty cool.

i found the poetic revolution to be the best case . My phone has fell so much in the street and also i accidentally threw it to a wall. LOL everything looking good so far. I have had it since november. It has flaps for dust proofing and whole for every mic and the IR . It has a screen protector that if it gets scratched or you dont like it, well, you can always remove it and use your temper glass.

How well does it slide in and out of your pocket? My biggest beef is when a case is too "rubbery" and gets hung up.
Also how is the built in screen protector? I've been thru a ton of glass protectors now, none seem to suit me.

It slides very nice in and out of pocket. Lol
The built om screen protector is quite good. I didnt remove the one that came with the and yet it adhered very well to it. Up until now it has just one small scratch on it.
Over the time, the cover start getting some external sign of use that looks like sctatch but is more caused by all the time thr phone has felt on the street and other places. Lol nevertheless it still feels as if thr cover were brand new.
The only downside is that if you put it in a diagonal surface, it will slide easily. Unless you put it upside down
Picked up the Poetic Revolution case but removed the screen protector. In hindsight, that might not have been the best idea because of the double-sided take they use on the top and bottom of the front piece that holds the protector.
Let's just say I'm almost worried about removing the front now as I can see the adhesive trying to stick to the phone. ....... (Wait, Devhux! You mean to say you didn't think of that BEFORE putting on the front piece????? Hahahahaha!)
