Paranoid Android 2.99? - HTC One V

I can't seem to get this to work. I am running PA 3.10 but its too 'experimental' yet to use on a daily basis. Any special tricks I need to get this version to work? Or a list of what kernels are known to work? I suspect that it is a kernel issue.

try Evervolv 4.2.2
EXTREMELY STABLE :silly::silly:

Maybe I am missing something but isn't evervolv missing most if not all of the features and options of PA?
If you could point me to the stable version of AOSPA 4.22 that would be great. I only can find the one thread that has the buggy version.

So... you never answered--does Evervolv have the hybrid mode and cusotmization options of PA or is just a straight vanilla rom, because thats what it sounds like when I read the description.
And does anyone know how to get 2.99 working?

Evervolv is a vanilla rom.

2.99 is working
just flash the hellboy kernel( not the 4.2 one)
or u can also try super sick kernel

So which hellboy kernel do I use? There are tons of them and not really labeled or explained coherently.
Do I just get the latest one?

i used this one here for PA 2.99

Use Evervolv
I think you will be better off using Evervolv. I tried the april 27 version and it was very good. There is also a newer version now available.

With this version not, it always plays without a hick.
What i've noticed is, this one uses a little bit more battery.

Difference Jellytime to CM10?

Hi,
as new users like I'm are not allowed to post into the dev area... Can someone tell me the difference between Jellytime and the official CM10?
JT is based on CM10, but what else has been changed?
Jelly time is custom rom made by devs of xda

Yes, I know - but what is the difference?
I have flashed both (first JellyTime, now CM10 Nightly) and cannot find a real difference.

Hard Lights not working

On every AOSP based rom such as CM9 AOKP and Muiu when you are on the lock screen the hard lights dont turn on this started with CM9 9.0.0 Stable is there a fix for that

I found that all the ROMs that changed up the stock 3.0.8 kernel jacked up the hardlights.. the only working ones are stock 4.0.4 and also the AOKP ICS rom. theres really no fix until they fix the kernel source
this includes CM9 and almost anything cyanogenmod based, darkside ROM also have this issue but it comes on sometimes, the only stable one i found was the July 15 build 40 of AOKP rom, and anything as close to stock as u can find with the 3.0.8 kernel.
goodluck
CM9 RC2 works fine so if the kernel could be ported from RC2 that would work

yea exactly, i even suggested that to some devs and they dont answer the call so idk.. they are just waiting for the kernel source to be updated thats all they tell me...
By the way on the RC2, how did you flash it? im thinking of just doing superwipe, flash rom, cache wipe via CWM recov?
thanks

According to teamchopsticks they are working on the kernel and making things more stable with CM10 so we should see it fixed whenever they release there next version of CM10

[Q] Encryption support in LiquidSmooth [4.1.2]?

Posting about this particular ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1993996 and since there's a crazy rule that prevents me from asking my question in the appropriate place, I'm in this forum instead.
Does the linked ROM support device encryption? My hercules is currently on the CM10.0 release and as the teamchopsticks page says, device encryption is not supported (doh!). Trying to find alternative Jellybean roms that do support encryption.
If nobody knows whether LiquidSmooth supports device encryption, could you repost my question in that dev thread on my behalf?
Any recommendations aside from revert to CM9?
I've been looking for a JB ROM that supports device encryption for a few months now. There does not appear to be one that exists.
I tried AOKP and CM10 and I liked them, but I can't use anything as a daily driver that doesn't have device encryption due to the need to sync work emails and calendar.
It looks like LiquidSmooth is built off of AOSP, so unless they specifically did something special to implement device encryption, I would guess that it is not supported.
Anything new on device encryption on a Jelly Bean ROM? I'm running 9.1 at present, but would prefer a JB ROM.
Also, have CM10.1 or Team Chopsticks or anyone else been working on device encryption for a 4.2.X based ROM?

Most likely does nothing just like CM.
I switched to Touchdown and I am now free to ROM swap again. Just need to find a fully stable JB ROM and some time.

Stable Jellybean Rom?

I have been trying to find a stable jellybean rom (4.1 or 4.2) but so far, everything I have found has broken features (camera) or is discontinued. Is there any jb roms that are as stable as the ics roms? Right now I'm running cm9 without any problems. Is there a working cm10 rom anymore?

Evervolv has everything working and is stable.

And I would add, very often updated
been on slimbean for more than a month and I can't complain (well, I could use a better lockscreen but we got google for that )

That doesn't help those of us who are primoc.
Edit: Actually, there is a CDMA port for Evervolv; however, it doesn't appear to get the same level of updates that the primou version gets. From all accounts, it's a good ROM; however, the headphone jack doesn't work, which is a bummer.

Ok I tried evervolv and I have to say, its amazing! I was a bit confused at first when it said the camera wasn't working, but I installed "Camera ICS" and everything works perfectly. It even runs smother than the stock android did!
