I installed cyanogenmod 10.1 in my ascend p1 according to this thread:

Unfortunately I cannot reply there because it's a developer's forum.
I'm suffering from a bug. When marking text in gmail, feedme or email and unmarking it again, the app crashes. Does anyone have the same problem?

Yes, happened to me too. Also when I try to copy text in the browser for example, it immediately crashes...

Also it's not a general solution, but for the browser Google Chrome doesn't crash

use third party I guess. and freeze those apps

I have the Facebook app working fine but when I try to add a Facebook account in the accounts section of settings nothing happens. When I click on the Facebook icon literally nothing happens. Anyone else having this problem?

Everyone is. There are a LOT of threads on this already. Due to a failure on Facebook's part to properly use the Android Contact APIs, Facebook contact syncing is currently NOT supported.
Well don't I feel stupid. I did do a search but didn't find anything. Thanks for your help. Sorry for the duplicate thread.

No problem; the search function on this and most forums is sorely lacking anyway, at least in my experience.

Just to let you know, you can sync your contacts by getting the friendcaster app or a new app called haxsync which works really well.

I created four new contacts using the google contacts website. I am viewing them right now from the phone and it seems I cannot update them EXCEPT for putting in a picture.
Is there a way to edit contact from within the phone?

Don't know about people app but android pro widgets free in play store let's you edit your contacts in the group connected to the widget. Try it. I am on tbaldens cm10 a12

Hi, i Have an issue to make appear my contact from facebook account on my P6.
I create the account and syncronize from contact app, the phone make a sync but the contacts doesnt appear!?
I make the choice of see only contact from facebook but nothing appears?!
I have changed the rom B104 to B111 and the problem remain!
With google syncronyzation there is no problem. i can see all my google contacts!
What may be happening?

no problem with HaxSync on my P6...
Try B125 because it is the latest firmware so far, or wait for the KitKat, this month it will be released.
I always had Facebook notification on time, but from when I installed Slimbean rom I don't recive anymore the notification from the app, I can see them just by entering the app.. Whatsapp ecc all working correctly.. Some ideas? I have PNF installed and working..
Did you install Facebook from a backup?

Try PNF app in playstore. should solve yor problem.

Well, ergonomics seem as ****ty as always. Can't understand how I choose between SMS and hangout channels. Typing a name brings out hundreds of "google+ suggestions" I have never heard of, instead of bringing out my local google contacts.

here is a Fix for the Video chat not working...
download this lib

and paste it into
/system/libs
you have to have root and a file manager (i used FX File Manager)
this will FIX the force close when trying to do a video chat
Im on Sprint G-Nex Running 10/26 CM Nightly

anyone have this working ok in conjunction with the new kitkat launcher/google now? I am getting a lot of hangout FC's. I used the v2 package from this same forum.
Edit: Never mind. Uninstalled the new version and reinstalled and now it's playing nicely.
As far as sms is concerned hangouts works perfectly.

Yep! I can without any issue.
I just tried with my work phone and haven't received any MMS... Not even in the stock messaging app did I get the MMS
I have no problem sending MMS
I am getting hangout force closes... Randomly

Why hasn't Google implemented quick reply to Hangouts yet? That was something I'd hoped would have come with this latest version. The interactive and expandable notifications are cool to see a full message content, but it sucks having to constantly enter in the new Hangouts app vs. just hitting quick reply or read with the CM 10.2 stock messaging app. I guess I was just spoiled.
On the plus side, I was able to receive an MMS last night, but when sending one, I get an fc. Oh well. Most people who I want to send pictures too have Hangouts and I just share a picture with them instead of MMS for the time being till that is fixed, or the official update is released on the Play Store.
