Will a LG Optimus G Pro battery fit the Note 2? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

The new LG Optimus G Pro that's about to drop on AT&T will the stock battery out of that fit the Note 2 with the Note 2s stock battery cover?
The Pros battery is a tiny bit bigger in mah and just want to get the biggest battery possible using the stock battery cover on my Note 2.
If it'll fit where can I purchase it? Amazon and eBay don't have it.

You're not gonna find that answer here, you need to wait til it drops and ask their forum the dimensions.

Id have to say it is very unlikley as most phone batteries are custom for each device and it is unlikley that batteries would be transferable except in related devices like the OG galaxy S and the Captivate Fascinate ect

Why don't you just buy a extended battery 6200mah from Amazon eBay. Its your choice were to spend your money!! Instead of worrying about a battery from a different manufacture.

Um, that battery is only 40 mah larger. You are not going to notice the difference between 3100 mah note 2 battery vs the 3140 mah GPro battery to worry about whether it will fit or not.

Why would you even ask this question.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2

Are we talking a true 40 mah difference here ?
No dis-respect intended OP, but 40 mah would equate to maybe one 2 minute phone call, or perhaps a few mms messages in difference.
Certainly not worth the price, or even the trouble in pulling the battery cover....IMHO
Basic changes in the rom would yield far more than 40 mah in power savings. Even a basic governor change or clock speed change would get you that easily.
The gain with that battery upgrade is pointless really. ...g

You're a member of community that loves their cellphones and mods it to ****..and you say "Just be happy with stock" Lol seems I'll just have to find out myself with these replies I'm getting.

That is a good idea. ..
Once the batteries become available, buy one and test it.
And although it will make no appreciable difference in battery life, you will have your answer and can report your findings.
The answers you got are valid, because we don't own LG devices, and because we can't even buy the battery yet anyway.
It looks like you get to be patient zero on this mod.
Happy battery buying. ...g
Edit:
The current note 2 battery is a guarantee for the same money and the same output. ..g

Yes...be happy with it. You can get 7 hours of screen time with the right ROM and kernel now.
How much more will that unproved battery net you?
To me it is not cost effective... and not worth the time to try to get.
Yes...like to mod my phone...but I won't cut off my nose to spite my face.Yes I could do all types of mods to it, but it has to be worth the effort.
The battery we have, if working optimally, which requires you to set up to do,works great right now with out any modding in the intended docks designed for the phone...
If you want to change batteries for craps & grins.... nock your self out.
Mac

I agree with all these guys there is no reason to switch batteries with this phone I get 6 hours of screen time at about 21 hours average. If your so worried about needing more juice look into a real extended battery 40mah is not gonna do $hit

Now I would love to see a battery with our dimensions that had an appreciable mAh rating difference, so I can relate to the hope the op feels....

Battery 3500mAh

I am very sorry if there is already topic like this one.
I found on ebay a battery that was 3500mAh or 3600mAh I don't recall exactly, but they say that it is the exact size like the original and won't change the size of the phone like the 5000mAh does.
My question is did someone has it,and how is it working? How many hours did your phone last?
Thank You in advance!

Absolute nonsense. Every battery that claims vast improvements in the same form factor is a scam.
If 3500mah could fit in the space provided, Samsung would have included a 3500mah battery.

I Don't agree, there could be a lot of reasons why they didn't put one, from budget point of view to supply issues. It's not like they strive to bring you the best at any cost.

If you meant the Gold battery, then it is 3500mAh. I bought two and noticed a huge difference compared to my stock battery. The stock used to power the phone until 7pm with moderate usage, wifi and bluetooth always on. Ever since I used the Gold battery, the battery still is at approximately 40% at 11pm. The battery still is 2 days old but still, the difference is noticeable
can you guys do a nova battery tester run on those batteries?

Mine came with 2800 mAh. Since it's cheaper than stock it has worth the purchase. Don't get your hopes high with these batteries.
Your srock may be dieing if it's almost a year old. Mine got down to 1700 mAh and this explains the "huge" difference you see in your new battery.

I bought the Gold battery two months after I got my Note so it means the OEM is still at it's peak. But yeah, I really don't have high hopes for replacement batteries. They may have a higher charge but they won't last as long as OEM. Like my dslr batteries, I get more juice out of the replacement batteries but my OEM battery outlasted them. But it is still worth it for me. What good is a camera (or phone in this case) if it does not have power when you really need it? Battery life does not matter to me (atleast in my case since I could buy 4 to 5 replacement batteries for 1 OEM dlsr battery - the Gold battery however, is another case).I keep that mantra all the time and I am happy with it

I see a lot of battery threads but can't make up my mind, what's the best battery?

Yup, and $25
Been on the VZ nexus extended battery for a month - wow it is great. Much better than I expected. Took off the label paper, trimmed off the plastic end caps to the battery height (with a razor blade). Left on the NFC antenna, but can get it thinner by cutting that off. My stock cover barely bulges. It's been $35 at Amazon (Samsung 2100 mah extended with cover) or at Verizon (lucked out when it was $25)
I just ordered the anker 2050 from ebay for 9.99 shipped.
I dont use nfc and our phones lack the secure element needed for g00gle wallet. I also wanted the back cover to fit correctly without having to modify the battery, and 50mha isnt a big difference.

The better the system the more battery it Burns, I app pose that if the processors and memory were less consumptuous then maybe we would be better off. Honestly even if you are turning off certain process patterns or psych out the brain it won't help, the won't be such a thing as a perfect phone unless you built it yourself, but unless the boards and parts are sold to secure in sockets your out of luck.

Yes. Samsung finally decided to make all variants the same when it comes to form factor and battery. Just make a note, if you buy a third party brand battery, and you use Google wallet or nfc, make sure the battery has this feature.

Also note a lot of 3rd party manufacturers claim higher specs but in reality don't last any longer than the stock one.

Hi there I was looking to get a longer lasting battery than my stock one with my S3 and I am a bit of a noob - I really dont like the fat ones so would be great to get one to fit inside. Now when I was browsing I noticed this 3800 one : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3800mAh-High-Capacity-Battery-for-Samsung-Galaxy-S3-i9300-/300944750217?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4611b47689 seems great specs but I cannot find anyone thats reviewed it - seen a few posts on the 'gold' ones (and this may be one of them I think - just looks different) on ebay at 3250 and some people say there good but I am unsure which is best and if there are probelms involved? Or if they are actually better / worth getting? I.e. I see mentions of leakey batteries memory problems and NFC loss - I guess I dont mind the NFC loss is that about it? Thanks!

Yes I have searched through many places already. I guess I was hoping maybe someone had tried this particular battery. I guess I might have to assume its like a 'gold' one. A zerolemon at 2300 and anker at 2200 isnt the stock 2100? Sounds a bit pointless to get an extra 200 no? I.e. how long extra are you getting out of these?
Got a feeling this 3800 will be more like 2500 at best anyway I suppose - would be nice to know...I suppose these cheap batteries dont leak or over heat or wipe card memories - not sure why some people talk about this - not seen any reports of this.

I had been using a QCell 2100mah battery for the last 12 months as well and it worked well enough, including NFC. The QCell was no better than the stock battery at the time of purchase, hard to say if the ZeroLemon is at this point as I can't remember my old battery stats. I do miss NFC functionality with the ZeroLemon batteries but I may be the only idiot who ever actually used NFC tags anyway.

I've bought dozens of phone batteries, over the years, from wildly varied sources. If I didn't already have 2 spare for the V20, I might give it a try. I've had zero lemons before. If my phone has a swap able battery I always prefer to use them instead of the RV Camper shell the ZL adds.

And the battery in the OP is the same physical size as the OEM so won't have the capacity stated.
