I've looked up on the forum for solutions but it didn't helped me out.
Edit: I've managed somehow to get to the recovery option but when I selected it I get the following (file in attachment)
Kind regards,
Jerrefurtor

Did you do anything to it or did it do anything out of the ordinary just before it did this?

My friend said he didn't rom it, but another friend of him broke his screen and did let him repair it by someone who I not know. And I think he did something wrong with it perhaps.
I am now in the android system recovery but moving down isn't really an option the hardware key is stuck (I think))

You could try to find a compatible RUU and run it. Aside from that I can't really help because I have no idea what's been done.

Can I do a RUU with a phone that isn't working correctly? via fastboot then?

If the volume down key is stuck, then when you turn it on you're really pressing power and volume down, which is how you get into hboot. Open the battery compartment and see if you can unstick the button.

With the RUU I get error 120 battery less than 30% but when I stick it in it is 100% (I believe otherwise the battery is broken too)
I've managed it to get him into safemode can I do something from out of here?

[Q] ***LOCKED***Security Warning on bootloader

Hi all,
I have tired to flash the new Rom yesterday and during checking the signature device reboot and installer said that it can not proceed.
After reboot phone goes directly into fastboot and gives ***Locked*** with Security Warning massage. I have tried different RUU but it is exactly the same.
Installation is failing on the checking signature. Please help.

If that tool is intending to use fastboot, then it won't work.
ENG = fastboot will work
SHIP = fastboot will not work (instead you have to use the PC10IMG.zip method)
S-ON = cannot flash new radio (or a number of other things involving new radio, recovery etc).
S-OFF = can.
As kind of a non-specific way of putting it.

That depends on what you're attempting to do.
You might want to explain what exactly is your goal, before you accidentally break something, especially since you mentioned shipped roms (which includes hboots, radios, etc and are stock [re-locking, non-rootable]).
I want to fix my handy somehow (doesn't matter if I lost everything of the SD card) installing or fixing the actual "System", but I dont know how

Do you have a custom recovery on it (clockworkmod, 4EXT)?
Did you try going into recovery and doing a factory-reset/wipe and then restoring a backup?
Going with a shipped/RUU rom without knowing exactly what the problem is could make the situation more ... permanent. Especially if you're already exploited/rooted and all you need is a fresh rom install via recovery.

I dont have a custom recovery on it.
I tried factory-reset (freeze) and recovery (black screen and then 6 or 7 vibrations)
Im not sure if the mobile was with a custom RUU or something modificated from the old user (S-OFF is a little strange :S)
Damn, i have the exact same problem. After doing recovery, phone vibrates and dont respond anymore to the volume down+power button. and it just freezes at the choice of Factory reset. If anybody has an idea how to solve this, please share it.
I have the very same problem After updating some apps through the market app, my phone started freesing and after a few tries of removing the battery it got stuck in the logo screen. I haven't tried to root it or anything at all, it's completely stock rom-wise and as far as I'm conserned it will stay that way. I can move arround in the menu when pressing down volume key and power key combo, but when I try to resstore, it just vibrates 7 times after it goes into the black screen with the green arrows, and if I try to hard reset it, it just freeses and I have to remove the battery again...
I really am hoping for someone who can help to answer this post.

But when the update starts it just sits there saying Rebooting into Bootloader ........... and that's it, nothing ealse happens. Any ideas? I will be forever grateful!

Yes. My phone is now white scrn. Pluged to pc. When I run the hack kit it says: Error phone not pluged in, drivers not instaled or debuging is not on.
Only time I can accses the hack tool is if i put the phone into recovery and screen goes black with phone icon and red triangle.. But when I try to rerun flashing it shows the same that the device is offline. Basicaly I cant do anything because the device is offline as the tool says

That is because you factory reseted the phone, thing that you are also warned not to do in the manual, so now you have deleted the usb debugging drivers from the phone. What does hboot say at the top left corner?

not sure...it depends. If the Hack Kit lowered the main version and created the goldcard successfully, you might be able, if not you need your official RUU.
Do the following, get the getvar information from your phone and paste it here (delete the serial and imei numbers). Do you know how to do it?

Yes the hack kit lowered the version by downloading RUU and it did downgrade it sucesfully.. Booted and was working flawlesly. I have the file now, its: PD98IMG-GB2. So I wonder maybe this image would work and boot up the phone at least so I can use it ..
No im not familiar with getvar information.

What you need is to read the EFFEN MANUAL...that is covered in the troubleshooting section. Re run the Hack Kit from the splash screen (white one with green HTC)...that should fix it.

HTC Desire HD Problem

Hello, I'm sorry but I am a noobie in dev stuffs for mobile OS.
So, I'll just seek some assistance before I do something terrible to my phone.
Problem:
My phone gets stuck in the HTC logo white screen, tho I do manage to get pass that by holding the power button again.
The files in my phone which I delete gets restored if the mobile is restarted. (similar on how Deep Freeze works on PCs)
Factory reset doesn't work. (Have no tried doing it while connected in a PC)
Lots of errors in my applications.
Note, this phone was just passed to me by my aunt since she no longer use it.
I wanted to fix them.
I'm willing to learn methods to be able to fix it, I just want some assistance on where to start with troubleshooting this phone.
Thank you for your time. (can provide more info if asked)

Hello, sorry for the late reply.
I tried installing the one provided by nikolas60 a few moments ago. (I used that one since it's the same version with the one provided by humzaahmed155 but in zip form)
I installed it using the bootloader method, put it in the sd card root and renaming it PD98IMG.
Bootloader managed to detect it but after a few minutes, it just said wrong CID, or something, then press power to restart.
So I just restarted it and nothing happened.
Did I do something wrong? Should I try the .exe one?
bumping for answers or advices. thank you.
You will need to make a gold card if you have wrong cid.

[Q] New, Stock HTC One X Boot Loop after Update.

Hi,
I've been through many threads before about similar but I couldn't find any that I could understand on the topic.
Basically I bought a new HTC One X on eBay to replace my previous one (which is also stuck in a boot loop - although I suspect due to physical damage).
All was going well until a request to install a 2nd system update, which I did after downloading it. As I was about to go to bed, the update must have completed, as I heard a buzz as the phone restarted. And then it restarted again, and again and so on, constantly on the white HTC screen.
The phone is absolutely stock with no custom ROM and I can return the phone, however the postage will take some time so that's not preferable.
The Power/Vol screen reads:
ENDEAVORU XE SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT- 1.12.000
CPLD-None
MICROP-None
RADIO-2.1204.135.20
eMMC/CPU/HW secure boot: disabled
MODEM PATH: OFF
Connecting a USB reveals "Failed USB Master mode"
Any help is greatly appreciated - thank you very much.
I dont think I know a different solution then resetting your phone to fix this, but there is one strange thing:
HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO GET S-OFF?
This is a thing the whole community is working on since the device has been released and nobody was able to achieve it easily. So you better dont return your device, because its special.
Btw: On this screen my device shows ENDEAVORU S-ON
I dont know what the XE means, but it hast to be something special, because most owners of the HOX dont have it.
I guess the update broke something and it may be beause of S-OFF.
If you're not familiar with rooting and custom roms at all S-OFF is actually a bed thing as it doesn't ask for signatures when dangerous commands are executed !
Failed to open error is because you have the usb cable connected. And since you have s-off.....flash a JB ruu and it will be up to date

Thank you all very much for your answers - and I genuinely have no idea about the s-off thing haha, just came like that.
With regards to the JB RUU, where would I best get the latest one and to flash it, I have to do those CMD commands whilst USB connected I presume.
If I don't know what drive my phone is (e.g. C: H etc, as it's no longer showing up as HTC One X in 'My Computer', what would be the best way to find out?
Once again, thank you all for your help.

here's the link for available RUU. http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=Endeavor
Thanks, I've managed to narrow down the RUU to two possible out of them:

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
I'm trying to figure out which one of them is likely the one for my phone, as it was sent from Hong Kong.
Apologies for my sheer newbieness to this; I'm not particularly familiar with this sort of thing.
My phone's CID shows up as 11111111? Not sure if that helps. Thanks again for all your help.

I can't seem to find the exact right RUU for my phone? Is there any way I can Mr Hofs?
Thanks for your help again.
All I know is that it's an unlocked HTC One X 32GB phone (which came in a 16GB box, strangely) sent from Hong Kong.

correct
I've just tried to install
"RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.14.707.24_Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_296434_signed.exe"
But it said the ROM wasn't able to be updated - is there any exact RUU people could point me to?
The phone's current ROM version is 2.17.401.2
And when I try and update the ROM it gives me an ERROR 159: IMAGE ERROR.
Apologies for being remarkably stupid and ignorant on the topic and thank you for all your help.

I'm not sure if I am right about that, but might this happen because all the RUUs are for the Endeavoru and you have an Endeavoru XE?
Getting the phone to charge
Hi,
I've found the right ROM/method to flashing it - however the phone is absolutely out of battery. I try charging it normally, in fastboot and connected by USB to the computer but it simply doesn't charge as it goes into the boot loop when left charging.
Thanks again,
Luke

The phone need to be booted up or in recovery to get charged... it won't charge if it is in HBOOT... can you boot into recovery? or power it off?

Unfortunately when I try and put it into recovery it simply goes into the white boot loop screen, powering it down in any way does the same when it has any charge and the factory reset doesn't work either.
I've been considering sending it back to the seller to be repaired, but my first attempt failed due to restrictions on sending things with lithium batteries.
