these guys are selling it, but i can't see a keypad.
http://mobile.brando.com.hk/HousingO2XDAExec.php
Drop them an email, maybe they can supply the keypad seperate.
well these all look like alll they have is the two halves of the universal, not the swivel part or keyboard for sale
im looking for the complete replacements
Hey guys why would you not swap an O2 XDA Exec for a T-Mobile Germany? There may be people who are more inclined for a silver model vs. black one...
This way you both will be happy.
For example, I'd swap mine if it were not quite a bit used and I don't want a German keyboard, I need British one.

Its just that I like a change now and then. And I prefer Black a lot. I like that O2 housing. Its wicked. I just did a mistake by buying this silver Orange SPV. I was too much in a hurry. If anyone would like to exchange their Black O2 Housing, Maybe including keyboard+LED's, I will happily give them my Orange Housing + keyboard + Keyboard LED's.

P3300 Housing cover on O2 Orbit???

Hi, I'm from Portugal and I have an O2 Orbit and I need a new housing cover, but since the O2 isn't on sale in Portugal I was wondering if it is possible to use an HTC P3300 cover instead??? Anyone tried this already???
I might be able to help.
is the cover your after for the battery.. if so pm me and i can send you one out. its an old one i had from my old uk 02 Orbit. Im not sure if the p3300 will fit. maybe some one else can help you, but I dont mind sending it out ya,it's just sat here doing nothing, its is a little worn on the silver bits but better than nothing
mavisdavis - Actually I was thinking about the whole cover, battery front and back, but in fact the worst part is the battery cover... If you say you have a battery cover that you don't use and it isn't any trouble to you to send it to me, I'll sure be thankful!!! I'll pay for the ports of course... If so PM me, ok???
Nevertheless my question remains, is it possible to use a P3300 cover in a O2 Orbit???
Thanks in advance
Hugo Costa
The answer to your question is YES, the P3300 housing does fit the xda Orbit, I had one on mine, I still have it and can sell it to you ?
Again thank you very much for your reply, Think I'll be trying one then...
Jester01 - Also thank you very much for your offer but I think the postal costs will be too high to make it worth sending the cover from UK to Portugal...
Nevertheless PM me with your offer, we never know...
Regards

Can't imagine postage to be that much, as these are very light, I would accept £30.00 gbp for it, it is in very good condition and I will include 3 stili as they are different to the orbit one's.

How can you that? XDA Orbit have a locker for the Battery cover, and the p3300 doesnt have, so the extUSB is not in the same position

Sorry to say, but it's the same mother board, so check before you post !
And I've had a p3300 oem HTC housing on my orbit for the past few months, yes you are correct with the battery lock, but that's an addition 02 have added.
does it work vise-versa too? will a xda orbit housing fit with no-hassle on a p3300??
thanx

Couldn't say for definate, but logic states it should as I said I have an Orbit, and used a p3300 housing on it, so there is no reason why it shouldn't work the other way round.
You are just using the components inside and none of the phones original plastics, i.e. you only swap the motherboard, lcd, vibration motor, front earpiece and rear speaker.
You have to also use a different stilus, as they are shaped on the end different.
Hope this helps.

Case: Artemis vs XDA Orbit
As far as I see from this picture and my Artemis in my hand cases seem to be fully exchangeable... Anyone knows for sure?

Jester01: Thank You pal! Now I would buy XDA's one, 'cause I like it better ^^
I tried fitting the p3300 housing (bought from ebay) on my o2 xda and i couldn't do it, i don't know how but it just wouldn't fit and i could see the housing was bulging unnaturally in various places. I got a replacement xda housing set which fit perfectly.
the version i bought from ebay didn't have the side buttons and there are various bits in the back plate - speaker, vibrate device etc which you need to remember to take out and put in the new one.
also, i seem to be getting very poor reception now, i don't know if this is because i've changed the rom (tried oops, touch 4.02 and rolled back the radio version) or perhaps I damaged the antenna somehow by changing the housing?? - anyone with experience?
thanks.

May I ask how much did you pay for that new housing?
For your question, I "guess" that because the housing doesn't fit perfectly, the antenna parts (a metal plate that stick with the body part of the housing) are not attached well to the connector of the phone board. So the signal would be bad.
I said "guess", because I have an experience like this before with my Siemens M55
Oh, one more question which I need to know a lot. Does the front plate (not the battery cover or antenna cover - which of course I knew it's made of plastic) made of Aluminum or plastic?

Thanks, I'll open it up and take a look at the connections - maybe the screws need a bit more tightening.
They both cost around £25 and it's all made of plastic - painted plastic although the XDA case is certainly better quality than the htc design.
I still have the HTC housing which is 'as new'. I'll sell it for £20 if anyone's interested.
How to open the XDA Orbit
Hi,
I would like to change the housing of my XDA Orbit too. But I only found disassembly instructions for HTC P3300 and this instructions did not work. I cant remove the plastic part which covers the gps, gsm and wlan antenna.
Can someone give me a hint or provide disassembly instructions.
Kind regards,
hqqh

I did find some instructions by googling, I think the trick is to peel off the rear part by levering the stylus in it's port.

eBay - Housings

Hi,
I would like to buy a white housing for my MDA Touch from eBay, but there are lots of different prices and sellers..
Can you recomment a good eBay-Seller?
Are there any differences between those white housings?
I also need a new Digitizer, because mine has a lot of ugly scratches...
And of course I need to buy a keypad, because my keys have a different shape..
Did you have any experiences with buying housings in eBay?
Can you recomment any shops?
The most important point is the quality and the fitting!
It must fit perfectly, otherwise the housing will get damaged again (due to higher pressure...)
I am hoping, that I do not have to experience this again!!!
Please help me!
I had been looking for days and did not found anything useable....
greetings
touch-it
(Sorry for my English, I´m German! Please do not hesitate to correct my grammar, if there are any mistakes!!!)
I bought one a while back off ebay just got the cheapest one i could find, from china, it seems to be pretty much identical, but it didn't come with a digitizer
Mine was for the standard htc elfin
Hi,
and did it fit perfectly?
Did you have any problems while changing the housing?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings,
touch-it
edit: Do you know, what the name of the shop is, where you have bought the cover?
I also have to take the one for the standart elf / HTC Touch GSM
I got a nice white case for my standard htc touch elf,
with buttons and chrome sides fitted just fine no problems for £14
($16-$17) also from a guy from Hong Kong...
Mine fit's pretty perfect as far as i can tell theres no difference.
Fitting is simple enought bit of common sense doesn't hurt

Original Unbranded Housing

Hey people, I have an unbranded Touch Pro 2 with the original black and silver housing with a silver keyboard. However, it has recently become a bit scratched so in the future I would like to replace the housing. But from extensive searching online I have only been able to find branded replacement housing and as of yet have not come across the original housing so I cannot replace it like for like.
So I was just wondering if anyone has come across any sites where I can purchase the original unbranded HTC Touch Pro 2 housing?
Thank you in advanced for any advice
haha... not looking too promising is it

Noreve leather case

Et voilà !
again
Et voilà again !
Lovely.. but Pourquoi?
"Pour quoi ?"
For Xperia X10
And "Pourquoi ?"
Today, this case is the nicest... for me. I hope it will be robust like my N95's 2 years older leather case.
I used a Noreve with my N95. Nice case but found it impeded my use of the camera. So I'll pass with the X10.
I like the quality, though.
Sent from my X10a using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
bnr
S'il vous plaît je veux savoir d'où vous achetez le cas? sur le site de Noreve? parce que Je l'ai acheté il ya 3 jours avant dans site de Noreve, mais le numéro d'envoi ne fonctionne pas avec moi.
merci
I bought a flip case for mine but found it kept turning the screen on, so don't use it.

Having tried to use one I can confirm it is true, and locking the screen doesn't help when the case is able to push the home button in which in turn turns the screen back on.

ops ya i have Noreve leather case and when i lock the screen and close the cove i don't have problem coz the cover in this mark don't touch the home button when it's closed but it is expinsive
may b another mark yes coz it's very slim to the telephone body so in this case u have problem
+1 for getting this case, i have had mine for a while and its great. doesnt press the buttons as far as i can tell, and its really high quality.
I have bought Leather Case Belt Pouch for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 on ebay from user caseplus (can't put link here, new user limitation). You will have search for it on ebay.
It's ideal for me, because I like to have phone on my belt (you don't need a belt as well). It's leather, is soft inside and looks very nice.
BUT... i don't have x10 yet, but spoke to another buyer, who said it fits perfectly.
I buy one, i mean the Noreve Case for X10, and i love it. God quality, fine leather, and the hard case at the back protects the phone. NICE !!
