Metal case - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Is there any metal cases for the s4? Not aluminum but real metal
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium

well...
first off aluminum is a real metal, so not sure what you mean by that. what metal would you like to see? I haven't seen one that is solid metal. http://www.droid-life.com/2013/04/29/buy-this-metal-back-cover-for-your-galaxy-s4-if-youre-tired-of-the-plastic/
there is one back cover.
the other one I know of is the spigen slim armor, But it is not all metal either. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BW6GIP2

If you have great signal where you're at... awesome, but if you struggle with signal, getting a metal case isn't a good idea from my experience. You may lose a bar or two. I have had more cases than I can count, ordering them like a kid in a candy store, except this time around with the S4. Having had issues before, if you do get one, I'd be interested in how it works for you because I wouldn't mind having a metal case myself.

The spigen has no metal whatsoever. It's polycarbonate and tpu.

My mistake then, I know previous spigen cases have had metal versions in the past. with a quick amazon search I saw it and just assumed.

Hey I actually found one.. It took me a while but they do have a metal case here's the link... http://www.casefanatic.com/samsung-...kommandant-samsung-galaxy-s4-metal-case-case/

I bet that would do wonders for signal strength.

I'm buying it, I like style and protection and that case has both so I'll let you know how it works with the signal

Let me know how bulky that ends up being. Or if it adds a decent lip to the front of the phone. I was looking at some of the other Tridea models as well, but I want something that will keep the face of the phone off of the desk if I have it upside down.

Its one of the main reasons i got it for too

My reasoning for staying away from either of the 2 tridea bumper cases is that the back is so exposed it looks like the camera lens would touch the surface of whatever you lay it on and get scratched

I didn't even know they made a new case! Ill probably buy one today.

They should start making cases for extended batteries.

If this included a holster it would be a definite go, but for now I'll stick with my defender and my dualtek

Just got mine today and it works great with the seidio active holster. Very nice case.

Had mine and the holster for a couple of weeks. The holster is also a kickstand, but kinda tricky to use landscape.

I think its just the flash. Around the camera and speaker have the same texture as the case. Just like the defender.

How is the feel? Is it hard or soft? Would it stick to pocket while going in/out and attract lint?
i would wait a few more weeks for the other colors to come becase those colors are:silly: but not bad on the price

This, that's my biggest issue with the commuter. If its still an ice slick plastic I'm not interested but if otter box has improved the surface it looks decent.

What are some slim cases?

I'm looking for the thinnest cases available for the S3 I already have one to protect it from damage but I need one for when we are out on the weekend we both gotta look sleek and sexy lol
The fancier the better but I'll look into any mentioned

Seidio surface case had worked well for me for months. Slim but protective and easy access to buttons and ports.
S3 on the Now Network
I use the Elago cases. $10 from amazon. They sport both Breathable and normal thin cases. Not Alot of drop support, but they keep that slim and sleek feel to your device

What case are you using

I haven't had any luck finding a case yet in the mall and the cases at the store were ugly. I hate shopping amazon bc the pics never show the real quality and protection. Just curious as to what people are using as far as brands thus far. I love the feel but I need to protect this $708 investment!

Diztronic high gloss clear TPU, probably the same one as rick. Works great.
I am using Tech21 smoke/grey one. Though it was my only choice, it fits just right and buttons aren't that hard to press. (Hint: press home button to wake the phone)

I just received my Spigen case - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DCICXMU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Fitment is good, it adds minimal thickness to the device, and seems like it will add just enough protection to make me happy. I had a similar case on my Note II and was very happy.

Make sure to update us when you get it. I'm really thinking about that case, but $25 seems steep.
Hate buying these thin devices and bulking them up. Had a similar snap on polycarbonate on my last phone.

under 4 bucks, hopefully it'll last
decided to go with a cheap TPU for just under $2 shipped from ebay, I prefer TPU over the minimalist cases because it protects the top and bottom of the phone.

Simple question. No harm done. Please find something more worthwhile to be annoyed about.
Thanks for the direction...:good:
I own this case. it's ok. the buttons are very flush and it's hard to distinguish if the phone is upside or not. and there is space on the headphone jack and USB cut out letting a lot of crap come in which sucks with a clear case. buy the slim armor it's a lot better I have the white one and love it
