unlock screen to check time. - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

I reflashed the Stock UAMDL rom and then reflashed TWRP and root. (after trying a few roms and having strange behavior in the Gapps, specifically).
How do I get my screen to unlock and show the time when I swipe my hand over the screen/sensor, when the phone is locked?
It does not seem to work now. All the other hand gestures/eye-gestures works fine, it just do not want to unlock the screen to show the time anymore.
Ideas? Am I missing a setting, somewhere?
Thanks

Go to Settings > Motions and Gestures then click on air gestures and make sure quick glance is on

DUH!!!!
Thank you! I feel like an idiot, after flashing stock twice in a row, thinking it was corrupt or something.
Just wondering why TMO/SAMSUNG turns this off by default.
Again - Thanks

Probably off for default to have better battery life

spen features not working after ditto note 3 rom

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I followed all the steps and successfully rooted my phone and installed the ditto note 3 rom for sgh137m. Everything works perfectly except that the spen gestures doesnt work. As in before I used to make an arrow while pressing spen button took me back. These gestures are not working now. How to fix? Thanks
You might want to look at LMT pie control... find HERE:

Much better for moving around your phone. In a fast manner. I use the S-pen quite often myself...
But it might be something that's blocking it???
Here's a pic of the screen...

Strange lock icon on lockscreen

I have this weird icon on the bottom of my screen. If I touch it, SystemUI crashes. any idea what is causing it, or do I have to do a factory reset

should be the smart lock feature
though system ui should not be crashing
try disabling it in security
I did a factory reset, tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing did.
Ok, so it's definitely the smart lock feature, but I'm not sure it works 100% the way it's supposed to, and I still get systemui crashes when touching it. However, if you click and drag as in unlocking the device, it then relocks it and asks for the pin code.

Unable to return to home screen

Hi
This is a minor irritation, but if anyone has any insight, I would be most appreciative.
Rooted Sprint Note 4 (N910-P) , 6.0.1 , Nova Launcher (paid).
Used to be, wherever I was on my multiple screens, if I pushed the "home" button on the phone, I would return to the home screen. Now, if I press it, I simply get the screen of the moment. I can't recall having done anything to change things, but I suspect it has something to do with the launcher, in which I perhaps simply can't see a check box for "return to home screen". Any suggestions? I KNOW there must be an incredibly simple answer
Thanks
Try this. It's one of my favorite things about Nova. Goes to default home on first press, screen lock on second press.

Wrong screen after activating phone

Hey guys,
since a few days my phone activates in the wrong screen.
Before, when using the power button, the phone would activate and show me my notifications, time, date etc.
Now for some odd reason it opens up in the "Please enter password"-screen. Not showing any of the information
I want to see.
The phone is since the beginning set to "Unlock with password and fingerprint".
The unlocking method was not changed by me.
Restarting didn't help.
Turning of the unlocking method completly/changing to "Unlock by swiping" and
setting it back to Password and Fingerprint didn't help.
Thanks in advance and good day to everyone reading this.

You probably installed a lock screen app from galaxy store or play store, review your apps and delete the lockscreen app

Question Bottom Edge Stroke Switch Application feature does not work.

Is anybody else having issues with the slide left or right to switch apps feature not working on Red Magic 8 pro? I seem to remember it worked for me when I first bought it but at some point it stopped working and hast since. I've been updating regularly and I'm currently on the latest version. (I just noticed that the word application has a typo in the settings )
