You might also want to try utter! Voice Commands BETA! on Google Play
The interface is not as pretty but in my opinion it has a lot of pontential and has extra features for root users

DINC2 google talk video

sorry if this is a repeat, but I own a Droid Charge, and my wife has the DINC2, she does not like the idea of rooting her phone so I never read about it until now.
I noticed that the stock Rom does not have video call on the google talk app.
How would I go in order to get video call on her google talk?
Obs:. HTC's are new to me so if one could give an in depth look on how to get it done I would really appreciate it.
You're probably going to need to root it and throw on CM7/CM9 or MIUI depending on taste.
You can try Google plus or Skype. They should work.
Thanks for the replies. I will work with her about rooting her phone. Had no idea DINC2 had CM9 running on it. Anyway thanks for the help!

Why wouldn't you just turn on unknown sources within the applications setting and go find the newer google talk apk?
That'll give you google talk without having to worry about rooting if that's all you want.

PA Preference APP question

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I had a quick question about the Paranoid Android Preferences App on the Google Play Store. I know it's for PA only but it indicates 100 percent, AOSPA compatible rom/rooted roms. I've tried most roms already with it, no luck yet. Does anybody tried installing to a different rom and worked? Or am I doing something wrong? It's probably me not being able to find way to find a solution lol. There's a good chance it is not suppose to work with other roms : P. I was being curious, that's all.
Thanks for the help and responses in advance!
it only works on PA based roms.
Dango, I knew it but I really did not want to to believe lol. Thank you very much for the response.
This application is actually more a contribution that a user can make in order to support the project. At this point the only benefit of installing that application is PA preferences being displayed. New features/possibilities are supposed to be introduced in future. But yes If you don't run PA u won't benefit of that application at all.

I came to terms with it when I couldn't find a compatible rom. At least it helped PA dev's out.
You can use domination rom too

Quick Reply SMS?

Hello all
Sorry i know this has been answered before probably but the search feature in the forums hasnt been working all day for me
Anyway im wondering is it possible to get the Quick reply feature as a downloadable mod or something as seen in CM 10.1 and such in the notifications menu? I know you can download GO SMS, Handscent and such but as far as i know, none of them allow you to 'quick reply' directly from the notifications planel
Currently i have the Android Revolution HD 25 ROM installed and thats the only feature im missing
Thanks for all your help

Usually when people say Standard Keyboard in regards to Android they mean the Google Keyboard. That's probably why Andy suggested it and also because the google keyboard is fantastic. I haven't done it myself but have you just tried searching "T9 keyboard" in Play Store? Throw that in google search too and see what pops up. If you search in google I'd throw .apk in there at the end of your search query to see if anyone has ever posted that .apk ever. I'm at work or I'd attempt a search and help you out but I can't atm. Try those 2 suggestions and see what you find. Good luck :fingers-crossed:
Also, what phone are you using? I've never seen that on my One.

Thanks, I'm using a Satore play keyboard but I prefer the native. In the one before the 4.3 update appeared on "standard keyboard" was called so in one's own choices and I do not mean to google if not the standard with t9.
Greetings.

Permanent fix for "Ok Google"

I've found that if anyone is having trouble with the "OK Google" feature not working for them that downloading the offline voice recognitions fixes the issue. I'd tried every possible way to use this awesome feature on the 4.4 GEL launcher. This worked! I've done it already 5 times and it worked every time. So as it sits now this will correct the problem until somebody else figures out a solution or Google fixes the bug for android 4.0+. But they probably won't because of it not really being an issue for anyone running CM11 or having a nexus 7. Also! I've found an awesome app on the play store for free that will let you use the "OK Google" feature anywhere in the android UI. It's still a little buggy and slow but this high school kid did a great job! And it works on the newest version of Google search WITHOUT ROOT.

Hope I've been able to help some folks out with this if your still having an issue finding a way to use this awesome feature Google introduced recently to Kit Kat 4.4.:highfive:
Thanks for this!
Also this post will help for people who still didn't get it to work
