[Q] Can't mount SDCARD in recovery

Hi there
I have recently just unlocked my bootloder and i am trying to flash SETweaked through recovery. I installed Blend kernel v2 and then booted into recovery but it won't let me do anything because it says that it can't mount my sdcard. I also booted into CWM_for_Arc.img, but still the same problem.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
cheers guys

kormatoes you legend!!!!!
Did what you said and all is working perfectly, thank you very much. This is now solved but may help someone else in the future.
Thanks again

just download and use SDFormatter 3.0 to format your SD card
it works for me ...
if not , you must use Flash Tool to Flash Kernel & Offical Rom too
So you just need to format the SD card into FAT32? wouldn't all the files inside be lost?

try this update.zip
View attachment update.zip
place it to the root of SD card, not in a folder
and flash it via stock recovery(Hold home+vol up+power)
update from zip
and select update.zip
same thing is happening to me. There is no folder in sdcard named root.

root of sd card doesnt mean to make a folder named root then put file in it. It means dont put the file in any folder just paste it on sd card.

dear first of all format ur sdcard with fat32 file system or use another sdcard which is formatted on fat 32 not only fat. copy update.zip file to that sdcard then u will able to root ur phone. 100% guaranteed answer okay
Even i had same problem with my galaxy y - unlockroot worked for
hope it works for you.
check whether your device is listed first.
sorry, since this is my first post - i was not allowed to post links

Sd card problem

help!!looks like i broke my sd card, whenever i try to "apply update from sdcad" on stock recovery it says:
E:failed to mount /sdcard (no such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard
but the phone can read my sdcard..
try reformatting it to FAT or FAT32 (i dont remember which one)
ask in the FAQ section later if you have more questions!
that problem is not about SD issue, anyways just to make sure...
flash a fresh firmware via odin, and format ur SD using ur phone(not computer, but phone)
and i would say that, this will solve your problem..ur firmware has problems(i have experienced this when i was using faulty firmware)

try fix permission in advance setting of cwm. if not working either, try flshing another recovery (philztouch cwm or twrp).. make sure you have enough space.. could also try swapping with another sd card,
ClockworkMod does not support EXFAT formatted cards. ExFAT is the default for 64GB cards.
Use TWRP or get a second card, format to FAT32 and use it just for backups

Find any old nokia phone that has a micro sd card slot and put your sd card in it. Then format the sd card using the phones file manager and voila the partition is deleted!!
How old? Which specific model?

Any Symbian model will do!
I personally use the Nokia 5233
connect your phone to PC,enable mass storage, install mini tool partition wizard on PC and open it and there you'll see your hdd and sdcard partitions, then delete sdext partition and extend the fat32 partiton of sdcard with the free space that has left after deleting sdext partition
You should be Able to just format the card from recovery :/

Sorry but i can't see how? From recovery is simple.
Boot to recovery.
Select format sdcard
Wait
Profit.
Both twrp and cwm recoveries support this :/

No, I think the OP asked how he can delete the sdext partition i.e. merge it with the original partition. I'm not sure if that can be done from the recovery.
