I didnt see shading options in Nova Prime or Apex Pro.. The only reason I thought it was an issue is because I use revolt on my nexus 4 and it does not have this issue ( both using Apex )
Can you point me in the direction of where the shading options are?
Thanks!

Absolutely. One of best looking ROMs out there.
One thing I've come across: clicking on Permissions in Settings causes a FC. Is it not available yet or am I missing a setting somewhere to enable it?

Believe me bro, I understand. Life happens. And Android roms never take priority over that. Take care of your business and be there for those that need you. This stuff we do for fun can wait. For what it's worth, I will pray for you.

There have been a lot of shootings lately. This world is getting crazy. That deal at the school, there aren't words. That was pure evil.

Yea really...it happen several towns over from where I reside ..its too crazy
I will give this a go later and report back as I play around with it. Also, am I correct in understanding that nav bar only works in landscape? The nav bar is one of the deciding factors that keeps me returning to 1.98. I appreciate your efforts to keep us old Inc2 users busy with something new to experiment with, and look forward to trying an updated version of PA. Oh and I tested your test 2 build and seemed to run fine, minus the sound issue. Keep up the good work and take care of your business amigo.

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). This was originally made out of pure boredom and for personal use. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and turn it into something special while still having fun. Since then we've decided to share this ROM with the community and have ported it over to several devices to include the GNEX, Nexus 4, HTC One, Note 2, EVO 3D and much more!
Since we do not take ANY credit for the original code used in this ROM we would like to give credit and just say thanks to all the teams and individuals that have helped us in one way or another!

Try clearing Apollo's data and restart.
@mamoto66 What settings have you got on Mackay?
How come I only get a 150 KB file when downloading from first post?
After a day of use I really like the ROM. Its smooth and I like the hybrid engine. However, I can't play Temple Run Brave, or Temple Run 2 smoothly, and there is a jitter. I don't know why is that, cause the AOKP ROMs I've used(malcho's and droidmaster92's) have been very smooth with games as well as performance.
Also the most annoying thing about the ROM is DU statistics notification popping up every now and then.
Hoping these issues would be tended to.
Thanks a lot dev.
P.S could the jitter in games be because of memory leak? Just asking.

No, still not working. I'm trying to download from my phone but this works on every other thread. Weird.
Try downloading it from PC, cause that's how I downloaded it.
And Is there a way to remove three-dot menu button?

Well, that works. But still I would like to download it directly to my phone like I do with every other rom. Maybe for next release you could use a different hoster or provide a mirror?
Thanks when i get the phone back off my missus i will try it

New version in OP. I suggest you to make a clean install (wipe data/cache/dalvik/system).

I made some changes, now should run better (unfortunately is due to low RAM).
Thanks for new version! But shouldn't it say [08/07/2013] in thread title?

Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.
Those wanting to use our ROM as a base are more the welcomed to do so but please maintained the credits/thanks below, do not ask for donations as it wouldn't be fair to do so considering and let us know as we often like to contribute to other projects.
As stated above, we love to maintain authorship but we also like to publicly praise those that have helped us along the way with our wonderful project. With that said, this wouldn't be possible without the work and help of those listed below THANK YOU ALL!!
| OmniROM | AOKP | CM | ChaOS | Paranoid Android | Slim ROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |
Please check our gerrit/github for full credits/thanks of individual contributorsBelieve it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

Thanks got it.. Staying on smartmax.. What is the difference with smartmax EPS?
Are you going to release upgrades any time soon? Just tocknow, the ROM works Like a charm. The only thing i noticed is that at night it disconnects from 3g and WiFi forcing me to reboot ..

eps is exactly the same code but with more battery friendly default settings.
eps == extreme power saving
but it is possible that you experience minor lags when using eps

Recents is in the works I believe, theme engine will be added in a future update I'm sure but ATM a lot of ROMs that have it are buggy and FC System.ui so Candykat will only add changes that are stable. Who wants a Rom that lags and is unstable??

Flashed the rom, looks to have gone well testing now......
one issue is in the gui of the setup screen its a minor issue that wont really affect the rom at all, but still thought i'd report it. The camera shortcut appears at setup on the right hand side of the nav bar.

Cheers for the feed back always welcome I'm not sure about the cam shortcut issue on setup that wasn't reported and not seen it myself when setup of phone. The Rom is Slim based maybe a bit different merging the theme engine has Carbon is CM based but even so will report that to base thanks again [emoji106]

battery life should be around 4 to 5 hours depending on your usage/apps/settings
all roms in original android development section requires unlocked bootloader and is either cm/aosp/slim/aokp based

battery life it's very solid this is SLIM base, not CM11, battery juice will give you more than 5 hours ?
with greenify apps and auto lux for screen can give super status for usage ?
and one more thing about camera just install z1 fix camera and reboot
the camera app on this rom really perfect just take shoot with Trueview
